thursday. details on that in just a few. we start with a developing story from new hampshire this morning. a concord man drowns while trying to save four children. this happened yesterday afternoon at profile files. the children ages 7 8, 10 and 13 were playing in the water when one of them started to struggle. a 39-year-old relative jumped in to help. he went under and did not resurface. good samaritans rescued the children and pulled the adult's body. today installing new safety barrier outside restaurant. they were excavating outside sweet tomatoes. they're going up in front of the restaurant and partway down the block to prevent another crash like the one in march which a driver crashed through the front of the restaurant killing two people. that crash is still under investigation. sweet tomatoes is expected to reopen this fall. a disturbing discovery. police find dozens of dangerous

a crew at the second bucket came to rescue them. >> we had a heavy wrecker come in and secure the truck so that it wouldn't tip any further over. >> officials say the truck malfunctioned they're working to figure out what went wrong. the operation shut down traffic in that area for several hours yesterday. new developments on that duck boat crash we told you about yesterday. the duck boat operator has been cited for overheight violence and fined $100. that driver says stur row because protesters forced a detour from beacon street. no one was hurt but part of the duck boat's roof was ripped off in the crash. an beer driver banned from the ride hailing service. 28-year-old paul griffin was arraigned yesterday for incidents in everett and mall din. he was also cited in a similar incident in boston. police say none of the victims were passengers but pedestrians.

month following his arrest's mayor is calling for action from state lawmakers to amend legislation and immediately require a thorough background check and fingerprint. a brookline couple is hoping to nab the person who slashed their political sign over the weekend. erwin and marcy frankel say their front lawn sign which reads hillary for prison was sliced open. it was caught on their home surveillance cameras. the couple says they feel violated. >> i feel like they invoided my territor to come on my property. >> this is not the first time they say their sign was vandalized. earlier this summer they claimed somebody splashed paint on it. new this morning, fbi warning officials po boost their election security after hackers targeted data systems in two states. officials are urging states to scan their systems for specific signs of hacking. the targeted states, though, were not identified. anthony weiner back in the

we come up around 90 for boston, we did manage to hit 90 yesterday for the 20th day in a row. the humidity is going to go up a bit during the day tomorrow as well. here's the hour by hour. today's fine. tomorrow, clouds increase. so there will be more clouds in place. i think most of tomorrow is going to be spent dry. tomorrow night into thursday as the front comes in, there will be some areas of showers and downpours, maybe even a thunderstorm scattered action on widespread. but a day you may want to have the umbrella on stand by. watching four systems, not three, but four in the tropics. ga ston, category 2 hurricane still way out in the atlantic. tropical depression 8 is spinning off the coastline. nine in the gulf. both will curve off to the north and east. i know you can barely see it here, off the coastline of africa, the next disturbance that we will keep an eye on with

open. chris. terrifying moments for a family in lynn when a bullet flies through a bedroom narrowly missing a mother and her two children. a passing car fired that shot early saturday morning which went right through the bedroom window and left a hole in the ceiling. the bullet came dangerously close to the family inside, including an infant. luckily no one was hurt in this one. a security camera did capture some grainy surveillance video but police say they can't identify the car. car drive here and shoot. and then right past. so she got so panic and she start to cry. she call the police. >> police are analyzing the bullet that they recovered from the home hoping it will help them. a gardner teen is being held on $2,500 bail after authorities say he crashed his car while
