11:18 pm
west, producing at least a few rain showers, very needed tomorrow night. looking at the tropics, a pair of tropical depressions, where does the eye go. probably to that a right there. hurricane gaston is a major cat 3 hurricane again. the eye is bigger than the state of rhode island. you can take a nap and have a picnic in the middle. it's an enormous storm, but well out to sea. tomorrow another warm day. upper 60s in the morning. midday into the 80s. more cloud cover in the afternoon, and we'll make a run at boston's 21st 90-degree day of the year. forecasting 90 on the dot. 84 in worcester. but a warm and muggy summer day wrapping up a very warm month of august. and if you're heading to the beach, a little more cloud cover than today, especially in the about, and warm temperatures, 81 to 88. mentioned a chance of rain showers. so into tomorrow evening a lot
11:19 pm
and downpours in the overnight, and into the first half of thursday as well, so scattered rain. don't think it's everyone, but some rain is better than no rain. we'll see a little bit of a drying trend from northwest to southeast heading through thursday evening, and stay in the soup all day in southeast massachusetts. so a chance of a little rain fall here. soak up what we can get, then turn the attention to the tropics and what's brewing there. the tropical depression more organized, a tighter swirl and more outflow meaning it's getting vented allowing more air to rise, and the track not changing too much. still forecasting a land fall late thursday into friday morning toward the panhandle or big bend of florida. then look at the hook moving back toward new england late this weekend into sunday. that's the big question mark in the forecast. at this point i wouldn't cancel any plans. we have many days to watch this.
11:20 pm
over the top of it and blocking it westward, which would be sunday into monday or if it settles down across us and keeps it out to sea. right now we're right on the border, and in either case still seeing high seas and rough surf especially sunday into were monday, and chances of gusty winds. finnerring crossed -- fingers crossed it's a weak system, and we can get beneficial rain. one thing is certain, cooler temperatures. 70s to 80 on thursday, and 70s monday and tuesday. hasn't happened since early july. all right, you were all about the shark, but this next story, not about that. >> you're talking snakes right? >> yes, could be the best evidence yet that an anaconda is living in west brook, maine. it was reported, but until now they thought it was a python, but based on a huge snake skin
