tropical storm sometime today and it will be named hermine and a tropical storm warning up is for portions of the florida gulf coast and a hurricane watch for small area there as well. it moves northeastward. will it have an impact on us? it may have a impact by the end of the weekend as it comes in and likely gets captured by a developing weather block and so therefore it's going to be just south of new england on monday and some of the rain and bands and some wind may affect parts of the region especial we will have more on that as we go through the next several days but today, we will be a peaceful day. mid and upper 60s. but we have a lot of cloud cover which is moving in from the west and showers way off to the north wet. i don't expect any rain today but i expect it to be rather cloudy and partly sunny weather for a while this morning 65. and at midday it's about 82 and it will be 82 to 86 this afternoon. more humid with lots of cloud cover. lots of weather coming up with

we are following two breaking stories overnight. first nearly a dozen people forced out of their homes by a fire in allston. >> state police investigating a deadly crash outside the ted williams tunnel. he breana pitts has breaking details. >> reporter: the crash happened a half a mile after the exit from the ted williams tunnel. two people were killed and one other person has been taken to the hospital. state police say a car and what appears to be a small live morning. right now the ted williams tunnel closed to eastbound traffic at exit 26. drivers are diverted into the airport onto a service road and then back out to 1a past the crash scene. state police are investigating. no word when they will be able to clear the scene. also breaking overnight crews battling a fire in boston in neighborhood popular with college students. let's get out to nicole jacobs who is live on the scene in allston good morning.

young professionals were inside the home that houses three apartment units. those who were inside were able to get out safely so everyone is accounted for but you can see here for fighters are here on the scene putting water on some parts of the building but i want to get you to video from overnight because the scene was absolutely intense heavy flames and heavy smoke coming from the building. the fire officials on the tells us the fire began in a rear bathroom of the building moved up the walls through the attic and then through the roof. so that created a bit of a challenge for them as well. at the peak of the fire, we are told 85 firefighters were here on the scene. one of them suffered a minor back injury but is expected to be okay. in all, 11 people we are told were displaced. again those who were here at the time managed to get out safely.

here for the first day of school. instead he will be in juvenile court. that's because he is accused of making threats against the school on social media. police say he posted a picture on the app instagram referencing the first day of school and showing a firearm in the waistband another student reported the picture to police. officers went to the suspect and arrested him around 9 last night. investigators say that the firearm in the picture turned out to be an air soft gun but that is still considered a ar school building. the chief of the groveland police department says "regardless of the intent or lack thereoff behind of the social media postings, municipal police departments take any form of threat against a school seriously. police don't believe there was ever a threat to the school and classes will start on schedule today. that 17-year-old is being held without bail and will be arraigned later this morning. reporting live in newbury anna

now to campaign 2016. donald trump heading to mexico announcing on twitter he accepted an invitation to the meet with the president of that country. this comes as he gets ready to deliver a major speech on immigration later today. hillary clinton's e-mail scandal is getting some new attention. cbs hena daniels has the latest. >> reporter: donald trump confirmed today's high-profile meeting with mexico's president in a tweet tuesday night. gave little insight into the address on immigration in arizona this evening. >> or border and stop the drugs from pouring in and destroying our country. and i will be talking about that tomorrow night in arizona. big speech on immigration. >> reporter: that big speech comes amid speculation the republican nominee is softening his stance on deporting millions of undocumented immigrants. at a rally in washington state yesterday, trump used the issue

had been chasing him when he struck a chelmsford office erin dragged him with his -- officer and dragged him with his car. the da says the use of force was justified. clark and the officer survived. this morning a beverly 18- year-old is due in court to face charges he stabbed a friend with a shaft of a golf club. police say three teens got into a fight on the breakheart reservation yesterday. that's when 18-year-old curtis day grabbed the club and put it through a boy's neck. >> a golf club? >> we won't comment on motive or weapon at this point. >> we are a very quiet nice little town. >> the teenage here is injured is in serious can ring treated at beth -- serious condition being treated at beth israel hospital. five faculty members

are mostly in the 60s right now. chris, and kate, and the dew points are getting up there as well. low to middle 60s. a few places off to the northwest that's not all that humid yet. but you are going to feel the higher humidity today compared to what we have had the last couple days when the air is so nice and dry. so we have upper 60s dew points off to the south. and it will be a rather muggy day. not truly tropical. dew point woat get -- won't get above 70. now te i don't think it will hit 90 today. we hit 90 a couple days ago maging the 20th day so far this -- making the 20th day so far this season hitting 90. it will be around 80 at south facing coastal spots and beaches. around 82 to 86 or so. that's about it. water temperatures east coastal beaches the water cooled off quite a bit over the last couple days thanks to a strong wind offshore. but it's going start warming up a little bit getting back to where it was before. last couple days has been cold

the 1:35 game again the rays the temperatures will be around 86 and on the humid side this afternoon. we have a lot cloud cover. it's not going to be bright sunny day. night going to have a chance to -- it's not going to have a chance to realize the potential temperature which could be around 90 or 91. but there won't be rain either- spite of the fact there's cloud cover. there could be a isolated shower. tonight a few scattered showers will be more widespread tomorrowmorning. th is showing the number of showers that i think is potentially going to be there today. so we will have showers but it will be clearing out coming from the frontal band here opening up the shot we have all the tropical depressions and hurricane gaston is in the atlantic. look at the eye, it's a wild hurricane 850 miles east of bermuda but going away not going to bother us this is the thing that may bother us a tropical depression wind at 35

tropical storm hermine coming in on the florida coastline friday morning and after that we have to watch it because it's going out over the atlantic and will get stalled by a developing weather block and may get pulled back towards new england. not necessarily as a hurricane, but perhaps as wind and rain which we will be watching closely here over the next few days so stay tuned to forecasts. it looks like after today's warm and humid weather, there will be rain tomorrow upper 70s and then sunny to partly cloudy and an isolated shower saturday and clouding over on sunday. and becoming breezy on cape cod. we could have stormy rains and winds near the coast monday and early on tuesday. vil more weather in few minutes. we are following breaking news this morning a deadly crash in east boston. this happened on route 1a north in east boston about half a mile after the exit from the ted williams tunnel. we know two people were killed and one other person has been taken to the hospital. state police say a car and what

face charges. welcome back. i am kate merrill. >> i am chris mckinnon. thanks for joining us on this wednesday august 31st we will start with barry burbank. >> what are we looking for the bus stop forecast going back to school. >> going back to school for many communities. good morning. we are looking at mostly 60s this morning. 65 to 70 degrees. it's more humid overnight and there isn't rain around and there will be some sunshine but it may be filtered as a lot of cloud cover is rolling in right now. because of up to 90 and i don't think anybody going to school wants it up to 90 either. there are showers well-off to the northwest but i don't think we will have rain throughout the daylight hours. it's dry even though there are lots of clouds a mix of sun and clouds and sunrising at 6:09 and we have a humid air mass at noontime. southwest wind 10 to 15 and mostly cloudy and mostly cloudy this afternoon gets up around 86. we will talk about the new tropical storm and whether that will have an impact on us.

about 135 nautical miles east of cape cod. crews hoisted the 41-year-old man into a coast guard helicopter and took him to the hospital for treatment. he was aboard the lobster boat eagle a coast guard flight surgeon recommended airlifting since eagle was not the due back to shore until today. a concord new hampshire father drowned trying to save his children and this morning we are hearing from the woman who rescued three of the kids. christine lemuiex was seven children in bristol when she realized the family playing on a nearby rock was in trouble. the children were bobbing in the water and the father desperate to get them above the surface. she dove under water and rescued three of the children. she says she wants everyone to know what drowning can really look like. >> i can't believe how silently the children were drowning. i never realized that drowning could be so subtle. they weren't making any noise
