the storm and how it could impact the holiday weekend forecast. good morning. >> good morning everybody. here's a stunning satellite imagery of what's going on with hermine. it's a radar signature here. we are seeing the spiral bands of ran associated with hermine and -- bands of rain associated with hermine made landfall early this morning around 1: near st. marks florida as wind gusts of 80 miles an hour or so sustained 80. right now sustained of 75. so it's minimum hurricane and will be downgraded to a tropical storm as it moves to the north eat. tropical storm warnings throughing for carolina and tropical storm watch along the coast from delaware up through atlantic city and nothing beyond that. so, here's what we think will happen with the storm as it

confirms they are investigating a suspicious death in dunn barton. police were going in and out of a home and they are not releasing more details at this time. and new this morning, a fast moving fire destroys a home in attleboro. flames burned through a duplex last night. neighbors heard what they thought were several explosions but the globe reports the noises were caused when carbon dioxidecartridges for a pellet started in the garage. investigators are trying to figure out what caused it. lasers pointed at three planes. the faa state police are investigating. all three happened wednesday night in less than 30 minutes. two as planes were heading into logan airport. the pilotss of an american airlines flight and delta flight reported green lasers pointed at them after 9ch third

all planes landed safely. this morning a tractor trailer driver is questioned by police accused of hitting a milford woman and leaving another die. barbara clement was hit by the truck on main street yesterday afternoon and died almost instantly. investigators quickly released surveillance video of the truck and two hours later police say the driver turned himself in. >> barbara was our made of honor. we are celebrating our anniversary on tuesday. the dayoff labor day. news -- the day after labor day. >> clement was a milford town constable and long time member of the national guard. so far no charges have been filed against the driver. a webby sitter facing charges police say she was -- baby-sitter facing charges police say she was drunk and high stumbling down the street. it raises questions about a online service for hiring baby sitters. katy brace has the latest --

staying bright and sunny all day long. certainly lots of clouds. look at tomorrow. tomorrow morning we have high clouds starting to come up with streamers of high clouds. they will come up from the south and thickening up especially in southern new england tomorrow. thickest clouds here will be filtering the sunshine quite a bit and stay bright and sunny across northern new england a few puffy clouds over the mountains if you plan to go up there this weekend for a mountain climbing hiking it will be nice. on sunday same story a lot of sunday either. here's what's going on with hermine down there on the florida coast making landfall about 3 hours ago. it is about 40 miles east northeast of tallahassee right now. still a minimum hurricane at 75 moils per hour. ug you can see the radar and spiral bands associated with hermine and thunderstorms moving in tampa. that plume of heavy rain will come up the coastline but as the storm moves offshore it

the two 11-year-old boys were playing with a gun on wednesday. officers say the gun was legally owned but questions remain on how the kids got their hands on it. a scathing report detailshistory of sexual abuse of a boarding school. the report finds at least one of every five female students at st. georges was abused by the school's athletic trainer in the 70s. he was later tired and has passed away. the report also finds 10 other c police say they are unable to file charges in the case for a variety of reasons. the city of boston starts school next week and with the new year comes changes. superintendent says the district is expanding a special tap card system to keep better watch on students riding buses. they will flush pipes every day to prevented lead from building up in drinking fountains and bubbleers and there are no plans to close schools although the district is in the midst of

need repairs or upgrades. on the "healthwatch" compared to the rest of new england, maine is tipping the scales. a report by the robert wood foundation finds 30% of adults in maine were obese in 2015 followed by new hampshire, rhode island, connecticut and vermont. massachusetts though has the lowest obesity rate at 24.3%. cvs will pay massachusetts 795,000 doars for mistakes in the attorney general's officesays the pharmacist didn't have access to the online prescription monitoring program a system designed to catch and prevent drug abuse. in addition to the cash settlement they will revise the policies and retrain pharmacists. the united states postal service appears to be changing its message to the people of winchester. earlier we told you about a stern letter sent to homeowners saying mail would no longer be delivered to homes with improper railings.
