there on the scene. transit police confirm they had units this assisting with the investigation. in the meantime commuters called in to our newsroom concerned about the investigation and the amount of time they were stuck on the tracks without alternate transportation. here's what one of them had to say. >> wondering why they are not getting alternate transportation for all the people. i mean i am looking at ladies and children and g number of us here. it's not like it's one or two. i am thinking with 20 plus people including children, wouldn't after let's say an hour say okay look there's no reason to detain a entire train load of people let's get the train moving or get alternate transportation. >> reporter: that rail did

the victim may have fallen from the roadway above of course all this is under investigation. live at south station nicole jacobs wbz this morning. a snapchat scandal high school students solicited for naked photos and it serves as reminder for students and parents. anna meiler is live with the investigation. >> reporter: the school officials say sophomore boys are specifically being targeted. now they are at and parents on how to handle this disturbing situation. snapchat is a popular app used to share pictures and videos with friends. now official warn parents and students about a fake account being used to target students at weston high school. >> the screen shots everything is just if you get ahold of something like that it's not going away. >> reporter: on friday school administrators learned someone is using the fake account to solicit naked pictures of students. sophomore boys specifically.

pictures. >> you can tell kids but until they do things and experience things they are not necessarily thinking when they do it apparently. we think that they know but maybe they don't. >> reporter: school official alerted police and the principal addressed the entire sophomore class. a letter sent to parents says it's unknown if the person who created the account is a student at whs or elsewhere male or female or an adult in or outside of the community. the letter also ur social media safety. >> you have to be aware and you have to be careful who you are talking to and know who you are talking to. >> reporter: police also talked to students to let them know sending compromising photos qualifies as disseminating childpornography which is a felony. anna meiler. this morning a lawrence firefighter is under arrest as he recovers from a gun shot

himself during a stand off with police. police got a call about a distraught man inside a house on boylston street yesterday morning. the firefighter later identified as joseph carberry shot himself in the leg. at one point his dog ran out of the house snarling and hostile and police had to shoot it but it survived. >> he was upset about the dog being shot obviously. and you know the officer said look, you note best thing you can do is -- know, the best thing you can do is that's what he did. >> carberry's wife was the only other person inside. she was not hurt. he was arraigned on assault and other charges. he's being held without bale bail and another -- bail and another hear is set -- hearing is set for friday. a fighter jet exercise will be held over franklin.

northeast airspace against threats. man accused of killing his 19-year-old daughter is set to appear in court. walter disilva is charged with shooting and killing sabrina disilva outside her home. a decade ago he tried to kill her mother e was arrested in august in bridgeport connecticut and has been transported to massachusetts for today's arraignment. police are investigating what they are calling a suspicious death in a small new found the body of an adult woman inside a house on carmel drive. daniel boucher says the victim is his ex-wife and he showed up at the house yesterday to comfort the couple's son sam who lives with his dad. >> i don't see why anyone could or had any reason to do this. it was just you know, i don't know who anger-- i don't know who she angered that much or if that he had reason. >> for now police will only say

and an autopsy is being conducted. the battle over a boston police body cameras continues today in court. city's police union wants to stop the program from moving forward because it says the program should be voluntary one debate during yesterday's testimony was why there haven't been volunteers. >> i had a feeling obviously from speaking to different officers that they were told not to volunteer and i don't think you the answer on their part of what to do. >> i have they have not supported the camera program -- i have never not supported the camera program what i said explicitly is if we don't have an agreement i do not want volunteers. >> during the hearing attorneys for the hearing produced a letter on a union board with the words sanctions any office here volunteers. it was handwritten on top but union says that's not its

massachusetts left scrambling after the sudden shut down of itt tech. attorney general maura healy is telling students to cancel payments to itt to save all documentation and contact her office to begin the process of having their federal student loans discharged. last week education department banned the for profit college from enrolling new students for -- who use financial aid. saying the company had become a risk to and yesterday the company closed up shop at all 130 u.s. campuses including ones in norwood and wilmington. >> we will continue to pursue our litigation of itt to hold them accountable and hold the principals accountable and do everything we can do to collect money back not just for students but also for taxpayers. here in the state. into in april healy's office sued them for lying to

framingham worcester commuter rail on the tracks for three hours. this is the allston brighton area behind bu. officials are investigating the situation. it was a death investigation investigators right now believe a person may have fallen from the roadway above the track. transit police confirm they were there on the scene assisting in the investigation as well. called in to our newsroom concerned about the investigation and the amount of time it was take and how long they were stuck on the tracks without alternate transportation and here's what one of them had to say. >> the explanation was medical emergency and then more time and no real explanation and

disseminating child pornography which is a felony. reporting live from weston anna meiler wbz this morning. boston police say gopro video helped to charge a driver in a hit-and-run crash a witness on a scooter was wearing the camera at the time of the crash and police say that footage shows act any -- anthony buchanan hitting the victim and driving off. police say he was drunk and speeding when he hit a woman in mattapan. he turned himself in on someone and drove off. police in lowell are asking for help finding a hit-and-run driver there. the victim was hit early monday morning while she was crossing the street near umass lowel lea campus. police say she was taken to the hospital and has been released. umass lowell says she was not the a student. police say the suspect was driving a gray or silver sedan which likely has front end damage and anyone with information is asked to call police. hingham police are

here and route 2. either side of concord a couple quick downpours. north lexington and woburn. all of these moving north and west right along 95 redding and woburn and peabody and marblehead and a couple quick downpours for us along 107 and route 82. notice the motion is pressing inward from the moistu hermine -- remnants from hermine. additional showers may crop up a brief downpour here's the map by early to mid afternoon. so a few showers and downpours are likely and it's not going to be a washout by any means. we will see peeks and breaks of sunshine it canly during the second half of the -- particularly during the second half of the afternoon which may boost temperatures to 80. the wind comes in off the ocean 10 to 20 miles per hour. 70s in boston and same in

coming in. looks like a beautiful start to next week with sunshine upper 70s on monday warming into the mid-80s by tuesday. it's been a busy start out there hasn't it. >> reporter: yes busy on roads. two incidents to know about before getting in the car. first is the disabled car on 128 north in needham. backup increasing back. car is at exit 19 at highland avenue but the backup is to exit 14 and the delay doubled to 20 minutes to get through this. the second is an accident 495 south in andover before exit 40. it is blocking two lanes and the backup is to exit 45 and there is about a 10 minute delay there. ken and kate. >> thanks. 6:47 now. top stories begin with breaking news. >> the mbta confirms a death investigation is underway near the commuter rail tracks in allston. investigators believe a person fell from the roadway above the tracks. the overnight investigation stopped a train on the tracks for three hours.

were simply stuck there. the train left south station around 11:30 last night. the passenger says it started to move again at around 2:30 this morning. a lawrence firefighter is facing assault and other charges. police say he held off officers in a brief stand off at his home and shot himself in the leg. at one point the police chief tells wbz joseph carberry's dog ran out of the front door and fearing for their safety officers shot and wound the dog. carberry's wife was home during a warning for students in weston. school administrators say someone used a fake snapchat account to target sophomore boys. whoever created the account tried to get students to send compromising pictures. police say sending he can police it pictures -- explicit pictures through snapchat is considered distributing child pornography which is a felony. testimony continues in hearing over the boston police officers body cameras.
