same coming up to manchester. 73 in taunton and lower 70s for most of us across the cape and islands. dew point is up there as well. upper 60s low 70s. it's humid and soupy and you feel it when you step outside and that will stay with us and will gradually drop during the evening. foggy again but not as widespread as yesterday so it's patchy and dense out over nantucket and that's the only spot that has the thick fog patchy out over the cape and la a couple pressing back through western and central new hampshire. and you may get a few if you travel along 89 and it's going to be crossing 93 in the next 30 minutes or so a brief sprinkle in manchester. 70s this morning. 80s by midday and a blend of sun and clouds or maybe an isolated shower but overall mainly dry afternoon. it's going to be hot. cape shower possible for the ride home temperatures around 90. what about the weekend? we will talk about it coming

inspectional crews in dorchester figuring out why dozens of birds fell to the ground and died. 40grackles were found dead yesterday morning. police who saw the surviving birds tried to help but many seemed unable to move. >> i tried to move them a little bit and they just seemed like it was on one side and you put them on their feet and they fell like one side was pearlized. >> we are not sure what's gog toxin or a disease being spread around the birds. >> they are looking into whether or not any one had a permit to use avitrol. a judge is expected to decide by noon today whether boston police officers can be forced to wear body cameras. and in a new development last night, several leaders in the department say they will participate in the program. wbz louisa moler has the latest.

boston superintendent chief william gross hits the streets he may be wearing one of these. on thursday police commissioner bill evans announced gross and seven other members of the command staff will be trained and equipped with body cameras. stating "i have the best department in the country. and i am committed to getting this program started for the benefit of the community and my officers out there every day. >> it's a big statement they are making. you know they are out with the public a lot interacting with the communit putting the stake in the ground we are committed to the program. >> reporter: it comes amid a battle between city leadership and the police union. last month evans announced he would assign 100 officers to wear body cams for a pilot program after not one single officer volunteered to partake. then the union filed an injunction citing a breach of agreement and calling the timing of the program horrible. >> he agree the time something horrible we should have them on

metro west to the coastline including boston rockport plymouth today well into the 80s on cape cod. 75 on nantucket and 86 in worcester at the airport with elevation. so we don't come close to records. we come close but not quite. 93 the record to beat in boston set last year. tonight there will be a chance of a shower that comes through again mostly cloudy and overnight low right around 70,60s in the suburbs and tomorrow is a cooler day overall for saturday. and at the coastline it will be us. rockport to boston and 70s on the cape and low to middle 80s through the interior. 84 in fitchburg but humidity will be lower. so that will make a difference. we come back into the 80s on sunday. it will be a little bit of a warmer day. but the humidity stays low. and i am tracking a few showers around over the next couple days. but the key word is just a few. so it's. >> the washout by -- so it's.
