anniversary of 9/11. so how would the johnson weld white house keep us safer than what you are hearing from the democrats or republicans. >> the bedrock of our platform is we need to have military supremacy for the united states both air and naval power not so much boots on ground american blood on foreign soil but air and navy and i go around the world a lot. and everyone is watching the united states military and you know, in the middle arabs are petrified the 5th fleet will team out of the harbor to the gulf of mexico and asia if you move one the carrier groups 10 feet everyone has you know palpitations. so, we have to do that. that doesn't mean we have to be eager to engage in regime change in places like iraq, syria, lebanon. those have been failures i think and as gary johnson my running mate often says, wars
7:45 am
can't tell me we didn't pay a moral price for the iraq invasion. >> are you closer to the trumpposition than the clinton position? >> well, i think mrs. clinton is associated with regime change efforts in syria and lebanon and i think what happened in both those efforts is that we went in and sided with the rebels and armed them and they lost and they were alined with isis because the isis people were antiregime and the weapons wound up in the hands of isis so those were successes. and i think it's our position not mr. trump's position. >> another big issue is immigration. and we don't have the time to delve into all of it but what do you think is the key distinction between the libertarian position and the two major parties. >> we think we should embrace immigration which is great for the economy of the united states. we have to make it easier not harder for people to come into the country and get a work visa. have a back ground check get a social security card and pay
