passenger were taken to the hospital with nonlife- threatening injuries. the cause of the crash is under investigation. also breaking overnight a man suspected of killing a police officer in north carolina may be in custody in rhode island. >> that's what sources are telling our sister station there a few hours ago state police raided a providence home looking for that wanted man. >> this is rhode island state police come out with your hands up right now. >> police got a tip that 23- year-old i been inside the home. officers used tear gas but say he was not there. he is accused of shooting officer tim brackeen in the chest. he was look for fenner after he missed a court date. >> we treat every case the same but when a police officer is slain, it heightens the threatlevel. he has taken one police officer down and who knows if he wants

wife and daughter. four other people are in custody in connection with the case. a violent case of road rage near a local high school. >> a worcester man is due in court accused of piling a -- pulling a machete on another driver. anna my lee is -- ann ameiler is live with more. >> reporter: -- anna meiler is live with more. >> reporter: aldo rivera is accused of punching the man in the face near a high school that jle the day. this started when a school resource officer at burncoat high school was flagged done by a concerned driver. the officer drove down rexhame road and found two people out of the cars a driver told police rivera tailgateed him in front of the high school and the two drivers exchanged gestures and profanities. the driver says rivera got out and poled machete -- pulled a machete out and threatened him

threat but the machete was in the car. the police found it under the passenger floor mat where his 13-year-old daughter was sitting. his 17-year-old son was also in the car. he faces many charges including assault with a dangerous weapon and he will be arraigned in court later this morning. reporting live in worcester anna meiler wbz this morning. to a developing story in townsend where police are investigating a possible attempted abduction. three teenage boys told officers the man attacked him yesterday afternoon. they say an older man long graybeard jumped out from behind a large rock tried to grab one of them and hit another on the back of the neck before running into the woods. police and k-9s searched the area and officers reviewedsurveillance video but didn't find anything. police don't believe the pu lib -- public in danger but if you have information call to usened police. also developing the faa is investigating another incident war green laser was pointed at a -- where a green laser was

rescued after a crash in woburn after 12:30 this morning on lake avenue. police say a car slammed into a pole trapping the driver. both the driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. the cause of the crash is still under investigation this morning. 5:32. also breaking a man suspected of killing a police officer in north carolina may be in custody in rhode island. that's what sources tell our sister station. it comes after state police raided a pren police got a tip that the 23- year-old irving fenner may have been inside. but when officers got into the house he was not there. irving is accused of shooting and killing officer tim brackeen earlier this week. a air scare a massachusetts air national guard fighter jet accidentally dropped flares over hancock yesterday. they exploded before hitting the ground. the national guard telling us it was pilot error. no one was injured.

borderline characters. but this gaffe continues to reveal truth about clinton and trump now that it's focused of dualing campaign ads. for instance, this new trump tv ad rehashes clinton's claim that half of trump's backers belong in a basket of deploreables. and adds this tag line keet qoating again you know what's deplorable hillary clinton viciously demonizing hard work people like you. this is fine if you goal is to disgust voteers who are so disgusted with clinton they would sooner vote for satan for president but it's hard to see how this ad helps win over undecided voters. perhaps more focus on the rest of her comment where she seemed to write off the other half of the trump base as a bunch of confused people. might have been more productive. meanwhile, this new clinton web ad strings together some of
