cause flooding in some areas until friday. >> hey and the tropics are super busy today danielle. you've had your eye on it all morning. >> there's been a couple different developments. none of which we have to worry about right now at home which is good news. but it's heating up. we are getting it to the height of tropical season. 3 areas we are watching there's tropical storm julia spinning near florida. the latest development is a tropical depression developed off the may become tropical storm karl and that we are watching. ian is out in the atlantic and julia bringing areas of rain to south carolina as well as georgia. but that's the primary concern can. winds are not all that gusty with it and julia will weaken. here at home, summertime warmth is what we are talking about. 85 the temperature right now. dew point in the lower 60s so it's a little bit sticky. nothing oppressive but you feel the difference compared to the last few days. wind out of the west at 14

lawrence to taunton and port lant maine saturday 38. 77 -- 83. and 79 in keene. we will top out around 88 or 9 in boston this afternoon. the sun is shining out there in spots. there's a build-- there's building clouds coming in and north of west of boston the cloud are building more. there are a few showers and storms with the front right now. not a ton of moisture with this, but there is daytime heating. we are warm and a little humid and so i am developing between now and mid to late afternoon. let's go through the hour by hour slowly. we will watch the storms develop first southern vermont and the berkshires southern new hampshire between now and 3:00. they will be widely scattered and then as they come into eastern massachusetts, they are likely to weak ann bit but the threat is there that one or two could be on the stronger side. and we have seen it too any time we have thunderstorms that have some of the strong wind gusts, the trees have been weakened because of the

damage. most 7 or 8 winding down with a leftover shower or storm on cape cod. and behind the front, that is the crisp fall air that's moving in as we head into overnight tonight. damaging wind is what we are watching later on today a low ris fork localized flooding and hail. we are not concerned with that but any thunderstorms that develop may contain lightning and brief heavy downpours. overnight tonight, as the clearing comes in, there's a leading edge of the cool are air. 50 to 56 tonight. boston and it's a 50s to start for most of the kids at the bus stop tomorrow. and it's going to be bright sunshine but crisp air comes in. so we only rise to about 70 no weather related issues for recess and the bus ride home either for the kids at school tomorrow. highs at the coastline check it out. about 20 degrees cooler. 67 in boston for a high tomorrow. and it's gook wind off the ocean. you are certainly going to notice the difference.

worcester hills and 71 in norwood. pleasant but a different feel. upper 60s on cape cod. high pressure will be with us on friday. temperatures rebound a bit and we will be in the mid-70s. starting the weekend saturday is the pick, filtered sunshine highs in the upper 70s. sunday, a chance of showers and thunderstorms again and some of that moisture from julia may come up the coastline and bring us a little bit of rain to start next week. the temperatures rebound to near 80 warming up against by tuesday. >> you mentioned keeping an eye the weather will cooperate is boston city hall plaza transforms into a beer garden from 5 to 8. breweries and food trucks will be on hand. the event is part of a larger plane to inspire creative use of city hall plaza. self-driving cars could hit the streets of boston. today the city announced a plan to pave the way for the testing of self-driving cars here. the city will team up with the world economic forum to develop

side in a chinese orphanage back together on the other side of the world. three and 4-year-old hanna and dawson were reunited after 11 months apart. >> hanna was adopted by a texas family but during the adoption process the family got updates on hanna from the orphanage and every update they saw hanna with her best friend dawson by her side. we are bringing -- bringing her home meant leaving dawson behind so her mom took to facebook and shared his story and their neighbors saw the story and dede dawson themselves. then came the amazing reunion nearly a year in the making. >> yes. 400 times they must have hugged. >> her hug and getting so giddy they fell over. >> the kid now live five minutes from each other but to them they are more than neighbors they call each other brother and sister. >> that's awesome. >> they are friends for life. >> yes they are. so cute.
