reopened eastbound near dudley road. electric crews have been working to secure wires. paramedics took two people to the hospital with minors injury. checking out our morning commute, just outside the city, 93 south on zakim very quiet. 93 south through andover and woo whew looks great. the express -- woburn looks great. normal drive times all 17-year-old from beverly arrested accused of stabbing someone. police say the teen went into a home on living stone avenue, demanded money, and then stabbed a 25-year-old man. that victim was taken to the hospital. police and k9 units from several towns tracked down the suspect in a nearby backyard. he will be arraigned in salem juvenile court today. this morning month, crews armed with sonar equipment will be back at great harry pond

a recovery mission. he was swimming yesterday when strong winds blew a boat away. rescue boats, divers and a coast guard helicopter searched the area for hours yesterday. people who live nearby the lake say those crews face some challenges. >> there is sections that is over 100-foot where they're at right now. it's grassy, mucky down below. it's very hard for visibility down there. >> you have to feel for the people, the parents. i f just hoping they can get some closure. >> the name of that missing swimmer has not been released. a man facing upskirting charges is due in court today. christopher molina yesterday, they told us he was caught taking photos at the dollar tree on broadway. guns and money missing from the braintree police department in that lost evidence is putting hundreds of criminal cases in jeopardy now.

look. >> i find the auditors report of unaccounted items and poor record-keeping practices by the police department to be deeply troubling and unacceptable. >> reporter: but those poor practices has steep consequences. hundreds of drug questions are now in jeopardy and six of them have already been thrown out, like that of steven o'brien, the braintree man who allegedly tried to kidnap a infant from a store just last month. on wednesd his unrelated drug case. joe sullivan released a 50 page month's long audit of the police department's evidence room. its contents troubling. >> this audit makes clear that there were significant administrative errors. >> reporter: in fact, nearly 2500 items of evidence, like drugs and paraphernalia, were missing. 60 firearms also missing.

cash gone. braintree officers suzanne was in charge of that evidence room and contents. in may she died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound according to her death certificate. since then, police have recovered all but 12 of the missing guns including one weapon found inside the home. police have recovered some of that missing money the mayor says new procedures and new staffers are now in place here. in braintree, methuen police hope tattoos will help them catch a killer. -- accused killer. a large one on his back of a cross and a second one on his left arm with the name of his ex-girlfriend who was found dead on monday. a murder warrant has been issued for delarosa who is accused of killing wanda rosa. the globe is reporting it happened in front of their 4-year-old son who yelled at his son to stop attacking his

the police chief has stepped aside as his role. but the acting chief says the angel program will go on. chief leonard cam nel la was put on leave with pay after an information was launched by the city. his attorney says the chief is cooperating with that information and that it, quote, has nothing to do with his duties as chief of police. a detective sergeant has also been placed on administrative leave. it's not clear in the suspensions are related. now to campaign 2016. donald trump hampshire tonight. he will hold a rally. democratic vp candidate tim kaine, he is holding events in portsmouth. hillary clinton will return to the campaign trail today after recovering from pneumonia and a cbs hannah daniels, reports, we're learning more about the health of both candidates. >> reporter: a two page ler of hillary clinton's personal physician describes her being in, quote, excellent mental

carolina coastline with the areas of heaviest rain out over the ocean. some of that moisture actually may play a role in a bit of our weather come sunday and into the start of next week with some enhanced rainfall here, which will be welcome news. high temperatures today not 90, like we hit yesterday in boston. 67. that is it. we are over 20 degrees cooler today on shore wind, feel of fall in the air, middle to upper 60s at the coast and low 7 be clear and crisp. it's going to be cool. 40s in most of the suburbs. 54 downtown, a calm wind. so that radiational cooling at its best with calm wind and clear skies and bright, beautiful full moon that will come up during the overnight hours. temperatures tomorrow will be a little bit warmer. 70 to 75. that's actually pretty normal for this i am too of the year through the intearer i don't. once again a little sea breeze, a little onshore wind keeping us cooler. dry today, dry tomorrow.

it's back open after an accident in newton shut is downover night. massachusetts wants to make it easier to get medical marijuana. according to the globe, state regulators propose allowing nurse practitioners to write prescriptions for medical marijuana use. right now only doctors can do that. the proposal would also allow dispensaries to deliver marijuana to nursing homes and care facilities rather than to just a patient's home. a new twist on high school is coming to somerville it could shake up learn. it's called somerville powder -- hour house studios. it's one of the so-called super schools that was awarded a $10 million grant. there won't be grade levels or regular classes, instead students will work on long-term research projects year round. backers say the idea is to make high school more engaging -- engaging and relevant.

. welcome back. a toddler hit by a car in norfolk is recovering at a boston hospital this morning. police say the 2-year-old ran into the road near a bus stop yesterday morning and was thrown into the woods when he was hit by that car. witnesses tell police there was probably no way the driver could have stopped in time. that driver is cooperating with police. so far no charges have been filed. the boy was flown to tufts medical center, we learned he did not break any bones and is doinne around boston is a renewed effort to solve a cold case. on september 14th, 1992, there was a murder in revere. she was left seeing her job at the airport. the next day, the police found her body in the trunk of her car. police hope ot billboards will lead to new tips. the man of pulling a ma chet at this in a road wage ent said

he threatened the other driver with the machete on tuesday. all while his kids were in the car. he went before a judge yesterday. he is being held without bail. after several break-ins police are reminding everyone to lock your car doors. in one recent case a car opener left in an unlocked car was used to get into an home. well if kurt schilling really wants elizabeth warren, he has an uphill battle. a poll finds 54% of likely voters would support warren as opposed to 29% who would back schilling. of course, it's all mostly hypothetical. although schilling said he would love a chance to run, he hasn't taken any step. after mark wall burg is speaking out about a request for a pardon. wall burg served time for
