for kerry connolly this morning. barry burbank is here. you know what, we have a warm day today and a lot more humid than yesterday. if you were up early yesterday morning, it's a different morning this morning for sure. let's take a look at the numbers let's go to the ss and go to salem where it's 66. the upper 40s at the willow school 65 these are the numbers pretty much all in the upper 60ss a couple spots in the 70s down near cape cod. there are breaks and showers off to the northwest as you can see. this is the zone where most of the showers will be happening this morning. some will drape down into northern massachusetts as you can see. there has been a

spots. i'm not anticipating severe weather today with but most of the showers are going to fall apart as they try to approach from the northwest with. there definitely will be lots of clouds today. it will get up to 79 to 83 with a southwest breeze 10 to 18 and pretty humid all day long. breaking overnight a second device has been found 4 blocks from where in manhattan overnight. it appears to be a pressure cooker. residents in that area are being told to stay away from their windows. police are investigating a third suspicious device. new york's mayor says last night's explosion was an intentional act but there is no specific or credible threat to that city and right now there is no evidence that this is related to terrorism. the explosion

30 people were hurt. most injuries are minor but one person did suffer a puncture wound. police have been scouring the area near the 2 scenes overnight looking under every car and in every trash can for any clues or other possible threats. they say they need the public's help. >> the early indications the initial indications is this was an intentional act. anyone who may this incident, anyone who is an eyewitness, video, the nypd needs that, please reach out immediately. >> the new commissioner says 2 officers from the 10th precinct were on patrol when they witnessed the explosion and immediately called for help. and by the way this happened on the new commissioner's first day on the job. new york's mayor

to the hospital. developing now in worcester police searching for the driver of this truck accused of dragging a woman. police say the victim was talking to the driver at a gas station parking lot yesterday morning when the driver took off with the woman hanging onto the with window. she was found laying in the street. the 31-year old is in the hospital right now being treated for a collapsed lung, broken ankle. and in boston police investigating a deadly triple shooting. this happened around 2:30 saturday morning. police found 3 men all in their early 20s all suffering from gunshot wounds. one victim was pronounced dead, the other 2 taken to the hospital. if you have any information call police. and this morning the u.s. is investigating an american air strike in syria that may have

high temperatures across a good chunk of the country in the 80s as you can see it's quite widespread. this cold front is on its way and has showers with it. we have what's left over of julia off the coastline sitting there not doing much of anything and here we have the showers associated with this approaching front. initially we have the showers moving into central massachusetts northwestern worcester county. some heavier showers moving across interstate 9 up in new hampshire. these initial batch of showers should tend to weaken and fall apart and additional scattered showers forming this afternoon. there's just a slight chance of a shower. i'm not expecting any severe weather today. tonight there will be more showers breaking out, showers and thunderstorms north and west of boston in the early
