rain act tomorrow. so just about a 30% chance. we drop it down on tuesday morning and 0% on wednesday and thursday. so the rain has been primarily focused across northern new england and a few showers and thunderstorms will break out up in here will there will be more than an inch. so pretty good shape in far northern new england. it's down here in central and southern new england which a extreme deficit here of rainfall over the past couple of years. so as we go through time tomorrow morning we get more showers and thunderstorms forming and another batch forming during tomorrow across southern new england. where this batch forms will determine who gets a lot of rain obviously. it looks like it may be pointed toward boston but not sure how some of the action develops. the temperatures are

different than yesterday morning when it was mainly between 40 and 50, and 65 in boston, that's the dew point right now. high humidity it's not oppressively humid but not far from it and certainly a lot different from yesterday. highs across the nation most of the country is in the 80s, we've got a 67 in seattle parts of the west coast cooler but everywhere else it's on the warm side. the humidity is pouring up into the n out in scattered form in advance of that front. as the front gets closer it's going to start slowing down. we're seeing radar putting down a few showers in northern new england, but not really amounting to that much. let's follow them throughout the day and you see the showers that are coming they're going to dry up as they get closer and closer to boston. there might be a sprinkle in some of the northwestern suburbs.

to 80 degrees. the sun will be able to penetrate through the clouds at times and that's when the temperature will shoot up into the lower 80ss or so. there shouldn't be much of anything. then we get the next impulse coming along setting off more showers and thunderstorms west of boston and then we get into the act in southern new england as we go through the day. we get the rain for tomorrow on tuesday, wednesday and thursday beautiful gorgeous days, and then next weekend is going to be a big change probably getting very cool with a northeast wind and cloudy sky after a very warm friday. well tom brady wishes he was taking the field today. at least he's having a little fun during his suspension. he posted this video on facebook of him playing catch with his son at michigan stadium.

6:48 am
appeared dry for the most part. the upper 70s and almost 80 in spots. what a great saturday we had. and looking forward and wondering if there's going to be any more 90-degree days. the second half of september it's hard to get any. we've had 22 so far this summer way above the average of 13. will there be any more? just a small chance that we might get one more next friday. 90-degree day especially those in school the teachers and students don't want any more 90-degree days. this morning starting off with dew points in the 60ss to upper 60ss it's a muggy morning no question about that. we will go to about 82 to 84 in many spots maybe a little cooler farther northwest where there's more clouds hanging back in. back here i think we'll
6:49 am
from place to place and the south coast with the wind being busy once again today at 12 to 22 miles an hour. note that most of the nation is in the 80s so certainly summer weather is not done yet even though we're getting closer and closer to the end of summer. we have a cold front on its way which will spin out some showers but the first batch is going to be weakening this morning. as you can see just lighter showers coming through central approach willing boston but starting fall apart. but hopeful getting the fingers crossed. note the time stamp this afternoon there may be a few scattered showers an isolated thunderstorm break. i'm not expecting any severe weather today. then tonight a disturbance comes through and gives showers and storms north and west of us and tomorrow it gets active around here as little impulses come along. it looks like we should get our share of showers and storms.
6:50 am
rain should be more widespread. starting out tuesday morning cloudy and damp and maybe foggy and breaking out and drying out near tuesday. how much rain is possible out of this? tough to say where the bands do setup but it does look like we are in for up to an inch and more in some locations. again there's the pats forecast, the weather should be just fine. rains tomorrow and beautiful weather taking over starting tuesday afternoon and through thursday nice low to middle 80s. here's the trivia for this hour goes like this: twice a year

all right. welcome back, everyone. it's going to be another beautiful day. in fact, so warm you could probable cook out for the game? >> no doubt about it. maybe close to # 3-84 degrees. definitely feels like summer with the higher humidity around here. and we're still looking at rain drops and hoping falling. but they're are the not amounting to anything. we need a will the, a lot of rain. and comes 50% of the massachusetts now. and the drought is expanded. that extreme drought area expanded by nearly 30% in this state since last week. now, there are going to be a few spotty showers today. nothing really big, nothing important. a more widespread rain is likely tomorrow. but even then, it's not going to be a prolonged rain.
7:14 am
looks like we'll have batches of showers as opposed to a steady rain all day long. so the probability of rain really ramps up tomorrow. right up there and drops right off early tuesday. and is nonexistent here. so most of the rain has been falling across from our northern new england over the summer months and that is no exception this morning. they'll have more showers and more coming up for today. watch the time stamp here as we get more been as of and eventually we've got to have more been as of showers in southern en new england as well. hard to pick out exactly where areas will get the most rain out of this. but we're hoping the areas will get at least an inch. the showers that have been approaching, you can see how weak they are for the most part. almost dwindling to sprinkling now. in boston, rather cloudy but

through the clouds. lots of cloudness but occasional sunshine. it's muggy with the southwest breeze. and in the city, hour by hour, going into the afternoon hours. as we go up to the lower 80s with clouds ruling the sky. but sunshine occasionally popping through. and these dew points will not change much. upper 60s and staying that way through tonight and tomorrow night. making it a rather muggy period going through into very earl be in the 80s today and with a cold front on the way, that's why we're getting a shower breaking are out ahead of the front here. not really well organized. there will be pieces of energy coming along. tend to develop these batches of showers. so it's not going to be a solid shield of rain. the first batch of showers, it's approaching now, is weakening and will pretty much disappear from the map. as we get into the afternoon p it goes in the lower 80s.
7:16 am
the sunshine to penetrate through. by later this afternoon. a few scattered showers may pop up north and west of the boston. i don't think there will be any over the stadium. so no problems from the weather down there. for the big home opener this afternoon, and south facing coast will be the coolest. later tonight in the earl morning hours, an impulse comes across and we'll have more breaking out here finally inson new england during the day tomorrow. we have left over on tuesday morning. no rain left, might be a touch of drizzle and a little bit of fog tuesday morning as there's still going to be muggy and damp. and then it'll dry out on tuesday. for the home opener, a passing shower around 81 degrees. to 83 there this afternoon. southwest wind 12-22 miles an hour. so tomorrow, hopefully we do get the showery rains. not raining all of the time. batches of shower and then drying out for midday tuesday.

7:26 am
there's a lot of people out there, you get so upset you want to the help. if you want to be a volunteer for missing dogs with massachusetts. no matter what area you're in, you think get involved. >> we really need volunteers. it's a great organization. i love what they do. i think animal control officers in the whole state should really be familiar dogs massachusetts. because these types of dogs really need our help and specialty. the every day home dog that kind of gets loose. most animal control can handle that but dogs like this that are totally terrified and frightened, they need our help. >> so there is a training september 18th down in the hanover area. if you got to facebook page, missing dogs of massachusetts.
