a terrorist in 2014. cbs news has confirmed that the fbi investigated the terrorist comment after rahami was arrested for stabbing his brother in the leg at home, but his father told agents that he was angry and he didn't mean it. they have recovered a handwritten note notebook with a bullet hole in it. rahami has traveled to pakistan, and neighbors knew him as a quiet kid. how do you make sense of what happened? >> i don't. i can't. he left his country to go over there. maybe he met people over there who talked bad about our

bombing on saturday and at the jersey shore. police said he left behind evidence tying him to the crime. he was found after a man found him sleeping in the doorway. >> i just called the cops. i did what any american would have done. >> reporter: rahami is recovering from gunshot wounds and is held on $5 million bail. what we understand happened with the nestic dispute overheard the father call his son a terrorist and that was passed on to local law enforcement and then to the fbi. when they interviewed the father twice, they say, he insisted he said is in the heat of the moment and it not mean it literally. the fbi could not find ties connecting the son to terrorism. brook silva-braga, cbs news.

went viral with 1.5 million views. >> why you running? >> you cut me off. >> get up. get up. >> reporter: you can see officer edward barrett with his knee in the back of the pedestrian and then see him pick him up and walk him back by the shirt collar to his personal vehicle. thta pedestrian was trying to cross arlington and the officer was trying to take a right in his vehicle. apparently, the pedestrian was mad that the officer cut him off and he whacked his window with an umbrella the officer said he had the right of way the entire time and tonight, boston police released new video uncovered during this internal investigation. theysay it shows that the pedestrian took off on foot immediately after he whacked

street, after he trips and falls to the ground, they say that shows that the officer didn't tackle him to the ground and never shoved his head into the paverment. at the end of the day, they interviewed witnesses and pedestrians' co-workers and the pedestrian himself and all of it added up to not using excessive force. >> we got him in. we got all the witnesses and everything points to the fa that, again, this officer wasn't chasing him down. he wasn't violently tackled, and his hair wasn't pulled. plenty of people back that up. >> reporter: we learned that the officer will not be facing any discipline. and right now, we have another crew talking to the pedestrian and we'll have some of his reaction to the internal investigation findings tonight at 6:00.

team watched them load up eggs, blocks of cheese and raw meat tucked along beach chairs in the trunk or roasting in the pickup. it's a 90-degree day. why would you put meat in your trunk like that? time and time again, the meat was loaded with nothing to keep it cold and the i-team followed to see how long the food was exposed. sometimes, when temps hit triple digits. these guys loaded the meat in their st. paul sedan and close to an hour before they finished unloading. this man unloaded his cart and went back in the score for another errand. it's 2:35 and the meat has been sitting in the back of the trunk for 30 minutes and this hasn't pulled out of the truck yet. >> we know as the temperature goes up, the bacteria love the warm temperature, and they
