they worked hard to get him home. >> reporter: about 20 drivers took the dog 1100 miles to jacksonville. >> that's our baby boy. >> i have no words. all i could do is just cry. >> reporter: cynthia abercrombie is apollo's owner and believes her dog was stolen and thought he was gone for good. >> i was shocked. i was speechless. i had no idea he would ever be that far away from home. >> reporter: the kindness of the dave. >> she did everything right. she had her pet microchipped and kept her information current and that's why she got her dog back. >> that was one cute dog. apollo was gone for a month and lost a lot of weight but the mystery is how did he get from there up here? >> he looks great. stay with us. we have much more still ahead.
