clouds and the damp, misty feel. into the afternoon, should get drier air working from the north, so especially from portland across new hampshire into northern massachusetts, we should break into the sun and manage low 60s. most areas south of the pike stay in the clouds throughout the day tomorrow. it's been breezy today and we'll be breezy tonight. as we move toward friday, the wind turns a little more easterly than northeasterly, and that's going to also increase, so will have a gusty friday. with that, the chance of rain moving in. with these days of onshore flow, the surf is rather nasty. if you're heading out and friday is the chance for actual rain, not just missed. showers should be developing toward friday afternoon and evening and our best overall chance for rainfall is still looking like saturday. i think this is where we could see significant rain in the area. sunday, scattered showers, cool and gray. an extra cup of coffee or tea pattern that we are in here. a little mist tomorrow morning. by the second half of friday bringing the chance of showers

saturday and sunday. how much are we talking? the best chance for a soaking rain is in southeastern massachusetts. the biggest totals will be across the cape and the islands. we might even see more than 2 inches of rain there. north and west, a half inch or one inch of rain. maybe we will get lucky and things over chief. a lot of cloud cover and some scattered showers for the patriots, but not a washout day. this is tropical storm matthew moving its way westward toward jamaica. that's a high confidence forecast as a hurricane. after that, a lot of spread as to where this will go. no solid idea as to where exactly it's going to head next week. imminent danger is there. the bahamas and florida on alert. keeping a close eye on it. the east coast just watching. there's a long time to keep tabs on nephew and where it might end up. with those temps near 60, all the way through the weekend and 50s at night. not a ton of sunshine. when it pops out tomorrow afternoon for a bit, we'll enjoy
