breaking news right now at noon, a new jersey transit train slams into a station in the height of morning rush hour. at least one person is dead and 100 others injured. witnesses say the train never stopped barrelling through walls >> passengers saw people trapped under concrete. many others were bleeding as they left the train station. footage from the scene shows a tangled mess of concrete medal and dangling cables there. passengers say everything was normal until the train approached the station and suddenly lurched forward at the last second. passengers say people went flying. passengers were able to get out

jamie as the at scene is at the scene with the latest. >> reporter: witnesses described seeing a woman trapped under concrete and people bleeding after the train crashed here at this commuter train station. of the more than 100 injured their injuries are being described as critical. witnesses say the commuter train slammed into a wall at full force inside station in hoboken, new jersey. at least 100 people are injured. the platform was packed with people waiting to commute to new york city. kirby fischer was sitting in the front car on the left side. >> it just stopped. it was look a big crash. and then everything from the ceiling fell. >> reporter: officials say the station's roof partially collapsed on the train and debris littered the reception

executive producer. >> many of them have bloody shirts and clothing and head injuries. i saw one person with what appeared to be a broken leg. >> reporter: rescue crews climbed through train cared to reach passengers under mangled medal and dangled wire. federal investigators will tray to figure out what happened here. they will look at various factors including the condition of the tracks and d train. >> everybody just was done transit service at the hoboken station has been suspended indefinitely. >> reporter: almost 15,000 people use this station each day. many commute across the hudson river into new york city. thank you. we're also getting a firsthand look at this crash from

>> wbz has images from inside the station. >> reporter: right after the train crashed, shocked passengers and commuters began posting pictures and videos of the chaos on soshd. these photos show heavy structural damage at the end of the track and coming to a halt between the indoor waiting area and flat form. the impact caused a partial roof collapse. you can see the twisted medal shortly after the crash and the situation was scary and saw people crying and being treated for shock. these photos now from corey show an up close look at the train and a man walking away from the crash with blood splattered on his white t- shirt. he posted a picture of first responders outside the station. corey says he was on board the train that crashed but luckily was not hurt.

snapped this photo. she said she arrived five minutes after the crash. she took this picture before police redirected her and several others to alternate routes out of the station. many terrifying stories coming out of this tragedy. 100 others are injured. >> we will continue to follow this breaking news story. we expect an update from officials there this afternoon at 1:00. we'll have a chain of daycare centers shutting down after the state revoked its licenses. >> live in chelsea for us this noon with details. >> reporter: the claims are very disturbing and what we have learned is that this is one of the daycare locations based on illegal notice issued to the company we have learned that all six locations have had issues through the years and

2014. . little terri's pumpkins has the markings of a daycare. a notice to close effective september 30th. the daycare worker says we apologize for providing you a short closure of all its locations. it was forced to make this decision based on upon actions of the early education and care and other parties only within the last few within the last few years this company has been in the hot seat and investigated by the state dating back to 2014. through a 72 page legal document obtained by wbz we learned of multiple reasons the state is stepping in. the document points to company infractions and the programs inability to maintain financial liability. the first complaint coming in september of 2014 and complaints continuing through july of 2016.

with daycare officials admittedly blaming a lack of reimbursement and children accusing them of not giving them milk to drink and only serving cereal to eat. the document pointed out a child was left in the van and another child driven to the wrong location in march of 2015. the e ec confirms little pumpkins locations are losing ability to receive child care documents which accounts for 96% of their business. >> taking a lye look at this location in chelsea, we have made multiple attempts today to speak with the daycare director but we haven't been able to reach her. i should say that the daycare was issued this legal notice on september 23rd.

this if they choose to. live in chelsea, nicole jacobs, wbz news. developing this noon, police are looking for help trying to explain a strange incident along route 18. a woman was found in a ravine last night. first responders had to use ropes to climb down 40 feet to pull her to safety. the woman told police she was dropped off at that location but wasn't sure how she got there. police are looking for anyone who may have seen between 7:00 and 8:00 last night near the main street overpass. another cloudy day in boston now. it looks like this murky weather will stick around as we wait for the rain to arrive. pam la gardener has a first look at your accurate forecast this afternoon. looks like we're on repeat. >> the next several days the clouds are dominating the forecast and rain chances. today will be a drier day compared to what is yet to come.

miles off the massachusetts coast says he didn't harm or kill his grandfather. suspicions about what happened on the boat are increasing his grief over the apparent drowning of his mother. court documents also reveal he was a suspect in the 2013 murder of his grandfather in connecticut. nathan's father says his father is not capable of hurting anyone. >> the two closest people to my son in the world there's no way he would ever injure either one of them. >> police issued a warrant to arrest car men for his grandfather's murder but prosecutors say there's not enough information to sign it. 40 days to go in campaign 2016. the candidates are hitting the battleground states today and that has donald trump coming to new hampshire for an afternoon rally in bedford and hillary clinton is in iowa today. she's trying to win over voters

breaking news out side of new york city after a train crash in hoboken, new jersey that injured more than a hundred people. it happened during rush hour. for people getting to new york city. the train prayer did survive the crash. crews have gotten all passengers out of the train that crashed and federal officials on scene to figure out what happened. this is a live look at the scene. a lot of investigators still there and passengers say the train didn't slow down as it entered the station. . investigators have released

up with this possible suspect of the killer. in 1992 someone grabbed her during an evening night job. her body was found four days later. let's get a check on the weather now. another gloomy day. like a repeat of yesterday. >> yes, we have the on shore flow keeping the clouds right over boston and the eastern half of massachusetts. the good news is further inland is where you see sunshine. we did see some sun early today but now the clouds have taken over as you see in the live picture looking over the skyline of boston and that on shore wind is keeping a breeze for us too. also keeping track of the tropics here. matthew is strengthen and max wind speeds at 70 miles per hour moving into the caribbean and to the west at 15 miles per hour.

rain chances for us. the map has not changed since last week. at least here in massachusetts but the severe extreme drought conditions have expanded into maine. we go through the hour by hour forecast and here this afternoon the clouds hang around the eastern half of southern new england and then we have breaks of sun and clear skies. notice some areas of drizzle could develop in south eastern parts of massachusetts but otherwise pretty dry. drizzle developing. 52 degrees and same deal tomorrow, rinse and repeat here. the clouds taking over and temperatures around 60 degrees. there's a better chance for scattered showers as you head to fenway park tomorrow night. you want to keep the rain gear with you just in case. you will want to the next several days. saturday a better chance of widespread showers and perhaps heavy showers from time to time. sunday not quite as shower ri
