connecticut. investigators were seen taking bags filled with items from thehome. they are look into whether her son nagan played a role in his more's disappearance. linda is presumed dead and her son was rescued sunday after spending 8 days in a raft. he says the boat suddenly took on water and sank and he denies any involvement in her disappearance and investigators are also taking a new look at the unsolved murder of fa killed three years ago. nathan was the last person to see him and was once a person of interest in the crime. 5:05. federal investigators trying to figure out what caused a deadly train crash in new jersey. this is the aftermath of the crashch the train was going too fast when it came into the station and ran into the platform. wbz louisa moller is live with the latest he on the investigation. louisa.

fabiola a wife and mother was killed by debris from the crash as she stood on the platform. >> it started off as a regular day for that poor woman and her family no longer has her. it's scary. >> reporter: the engineer thomas gallagher was injured in the accident but released from the hospital yesterday. the 48-year-old has close to 20 years of experience as an engineer. >> he loves i should say he loves his job and it's just so sad. >> reporter: official also be looking train control could have prevented the incidentch automatic braking system deploys when trains run above the speed limit but had not yet beeninstalled on the tracks. one more thing investigators will also be reviewing footage from the train's outward facing cameras. live in hoboken new jersey, louisa moller wbz this morning. >> thanks very much. massachusetts is working to install the positive train control system that could have

jersey. it's designed to automatically slow down trains that are speeding and prevent them from derailing and crashing. that system is supposed to be in police across the country by 2018. but that could be extended to 2020 if certain goals are met. the cost of installing it in massachusetts more than 459 million dollars but 80% of that will be funded by the federal government. now to campaign 2016. donald trump will be in michigan today. yesterday he rallied to the devil when he gave support to hillary clinton. trump says she sold out her position as secretary of state alleging that clinton gave favors to people who donated to her foundation. meantime hillary clinton tried to get an edge in iowa where early voting started yesterday. she is taking a page out of president obama's book trying to get ahead in battleground states. clinton announced more than 40 new endorsements from republican officials. she will hold two rallies in

so, that onshore wind continues it will keep nuts cool chilly raw -- keep us in the cool chilly raw feel. 50s for most of us in southeastern massachusetts. you zoom out the view and there are areas of wet weather through the mid-atlantic and one batch in the south side of nantucket that will lift back over the cape and islands and some of it will arrive from south to north by midday and early afternoon. so there will be pockets of rain that develop today. it canly along the south coast through midday. takes a little long he for the scattered showers to us in northern massachusetts. so, i would have the umbrella on stand by today scattered showers even a couple downpours will continue overnight tonight and this is the map at 8:30 tomorrow morning. it's going to be damp. areas of rain and downpours in there too. we will continue periodically through the day on saturday. gusty wind off the ocean and it tapers late in the the day to light showers and pockets of drizzle for tomorrow evening. and then sunday, looks dry we may get batch of showers early
