and go in braintree and some bumper to bumper traffic on the expressway. breaking news involving kim kardashian, the reality star tied up and held at gun point in paris by 2 armed men dressed as police officers. police say the masked men tied her up, locked her in a bathroom before escaping with about $10 million worth of jewelry, a physically unharmed. it happened at a luxury private residence. she's beenen in paris for fashion week. her husband was performing in new york when he abrupting ended the show with this announcement. >> i'm sorry. there's a family emergency i have to stop the show. >> police say her family was

the incident. it's unclear if the couple's 2 young children with were her in paris. we will continue to follow this story and bring you any new information as soon as we get it. a school superintendent accused of driving drunk tonight the school committee will meet to decide what if any action to take. . >> reporter: a look on social media doesn't show for the superintendent as many parents are just now learning about her arrest. a month before this school committee meeting last week superintendent mary dely was arrested for oui according to massachusetts state police and incident seemingly kept secret to some. >> i was shocked a little bit. >> reporter: authorities confirmed she was stopped but exactly what led to it is

from into my job for something that may have happened or not. >> reporter: details continue to be scarse and her performance acceptable. >> but she most repeatedly made headlines for her decision to allow a high school teacher charged with domestic assault to return to the job. many questioned that decision. the school committee released a brief statement on her arrest to wbz reading the school committee is aware of the session monday night. we did attempt to reach the superintendent for comment. we were unsuccessful. that's the latest. a state trooper is in the hospital with serious injuries this morning after he was hit by a motorcycle near gillette stadium. state police say they tried to stop a motorcycle operated by 25-year odd rodriguez of everett.

heading the wrong way down route 1 and then hit a trooper on traffic duty. >> he was actually before the fire hydrant in the road and the officers were working on him checking to see if he was already. and it looked like once they found out he was all right he -- the officers look like they sat him up and prepared to bring him into custody. >> the trooper was rushed to boston medical center. he is expected to recover. the motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital and will face charges. some good news for patriots fans this morning tom brady's suspension is officially over and he can rejoin the team today. let's get live to gillette stadium. ready to get back to work. >> reporter: brady has been prepping for his return. take a look yesterday he's spotted working out with his personal trainer.

what a soggy weekend. >> we're drying out so the rain was welcome news. a lot of us ended up with either side of an inch of rain. there was higher amounts over 2 inches in portions of the south coast. now, a live looking ahead out of the city of boston right now. temperatures are running in the 50s right now, 57 in boston, 50 in nashua, concord at 52, 40s in in the middle 50s back down to mid to upper 50s on cape cod. so there is some fog that's a little bit thicker in a few spots. otherwise the radar scopes are quiet right now. there are a couple of showers in western connecticut that just died down, a few more showers in new york. today there's a big

there's some instability in the atmosphere. what will happen is after about 1:00 a few showers will start to pop. notice where they're focused mainly outside of 495, most of it is going to be through the central part of the state. an isolated thunderstorm can't be ruled out either so a brief small hail will be possible and any thunderstorms that develop. tomorrow we start with clouds and drizzle and the sd of the day drier air works in. high pressure builds out of canada. wednesday looks beautiful with high pressure building right on in keeping rain with the cold front to our west and then the storm out to sea as well. it looks like wednesday, thursday and friday look like a pretty pleasant end. highs today mid to upper 60s, tonight clouds fill back in, patchy fog low temperatures in the mid-50s for most of us, a little bit cooler in a few spots

out there this morning. highs tomorrow notice cooler than today only around or just over 60 degrees, that onshore breeze the morning clouds parting for sunshine during the second half of the day. let's talk about matthew category iv serious major hurricane with 130-mile per hour winds gusting to 160. now, the hurricane force winds are close around the storm center only about 30 miles of the eye of the storm. matthew is moving north at 6 miles per under the gun by later on today also the eastern part of cuba still a major hurricane category iii passing through the bahamas on wednesday this is friday night into saturday category ii hurricane at that point sitting off the southeast coast of the united states still that cone of uncertainty. the question is where does it go after that? it does look like there are indications it could kind of curve out to sea but may come close enough to new england

if it comes closer that may be a different story. we'll still watch the track very closely to kind of pin point it down. keep in mind it's still 7 days out. ride into the city from the south is getting pretty tough this morning. this a live look at the northbound lanes at the gas tanks. there's also an accident on route 3 north in weymouth that right lane before exit 16 at route 18 and this is causing stop and go traffic. so traffic is building pretty quickly there and traffic is also slow and go on 128. some new details this morning about the deadly train crash in new jersey. investigators say one of the train's data recorders was not working at the time of the accident. officials say they're hoping a second recorder is functional but crews haven't been able to get to it because

structurally sound. the engineer told investigators the train was going 10 miles an hour when it approached the station thursday morning and says he has no memory of the accident. one person was killed and more than 100 others were injured in that crash. right now donald trump new d.c. hotel has been hit by vandals. this weekend a man spray painted the words black lives matter. it was covered by plywood. police say they have not identified any suspects. the town of linfield is looking to get tougher on housing rentals. it comes after a deadly shooting back in may at a home that was being rented. residents will have a chance to vote on the proposal in 2 weeks. harvard students could have trouble finding a meal on campus. the food service workers say they will go on

shaken but physically unharmed. paris police declined to comment on the record and this morning officers were posted outside the house where she's saying. she's overseas for paris fashion week with family members. she's seen here last night. kim has stayed at the home at least once in 2014 before her marriage to kanye west. news of the incident got to kanye late sunday as he was in the middle of p new york. he bottled from the stage in the middle of a song saying educated family emergency. this wasn't the first rough encounter for her. last week she was accosted while entering a restaurant. a school superintendent accused of driving drunk tonight school committee in wilmington will meet to decide what if any action to take. we're live in wilmington this morning with

>> reporter: many parents are just now finding out about this arrest which happened well over a month ago. mary delai was actually arrested august 25th for oui. wbz obtained this school committee video from last week where it appears she is conducting business as usually. massachusetts state police confirmed she was arrested but the circumstances surrounding exactly why are still unknown and because details are minimal right now some parents are giving her the benefit of the doubt. certainly that is not the case for all parents on social media the superintendent is not getting much support. i can tell you the school committee is meeting tonight. they say they are aware of the situation, but

. 2 people are heading to court today after a large drug bust in lowell. detectives searched a home on saturday and found heroin, cocaine and cash inside. police say they found 4 children between the ages of 2 and 15 in the apartment with the drugs. they arrested 2 people. both men are facing several chag heroin and cocaine in a school zone. one killing 2 brothers from taunton back in 2008 is due in court today. the 2 were found shot inside a home. a grand jury found there was enough evidence to charge both suspects with murder. a 26-year old is due in court today, a 28-year old will be in court at a later date. a state trooper is recovering after being hit by a motorcyclist after the patriots game let out.

we're live this morning with the latest. >> reporter: police say as soon as that motorcyclist is well enough he will face charges. this is the motorcycle state police say hit a trooper who was helping direct traffic after the patriots game at gillette stadium. >> there was an ambulance that showed up and you could see on the other side there was an officer down, and apparently he got struck boot motorcycle. >> reporter: police tried to stop the motorcycle operator rodriguez near the main entrance of the gillette stadium after the game but say the 25-year old from everett took off the wrong way down route 1 driving against the traffic in an effort to get away from police. another trooper tried to stop rodriguez, police say that trooper was hit. he was taken to boston medical center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the motorcyclist is also being treated. >> the officers were working on

shore back down to cape cod and a touch of fog and it's reducing visibility in spots. we have dense fog in nashua. so just be aware of that. other than that we do have a lot of clouds around but i am anticipating some breaks of sunshine today. there's an upper level disturbance that needs to swing through. what that means is there will be a few showers pop mid-afternoon. a lot of clouds but mainly dry through the morning and after 1:00 a few showers start to pop. there may be an isolated thunderstorm with some brief small hail. cold air a lot of today may help the focus and isolated areas of small hail mainly worcester county. so the closer you get to the coastline better chance you have of staying dry upper
