in manchester. lower 60s in the outer cape. there are some low clouds in place and you may encounter just a spot or two of drizzle this morning. other than that though, the trend is going to be for clearing skies through the afternoon. so even though it will be a bit of a gloomy start, we'll notice that through the afternoon the clouds will gradually decrease. lunchtime some peaks coming out. around 60. it's abundant sun and clouds for the ride home, the upper 6 an eye on hurricane matthew. 145 mile per hour sustained winds right now just to the southwest of haiti right now moving north at 8 miles per hour. i will have the latest on hurricane matthew's track and the east coast impact coming up in just a few. a big water main break in charlestown flooding the streets. it happened at the intersection of old rutherford

onto rutherford avenue and route 99. crews are still on the scene. no word on how long repairs could take. this is a live look at the break. some debris did wash onto route 99 and the street sweeper just cleared the road ahead of the morning commute. we'll have a crew at the scene and bring you update where is we see them. checking other spots around the city, not seeing much traffic yet. this is the vacant bridge. e' the left three lanes are closed and traffic is being detoured off of exit 20 so keep that in mind. the ntsb said regular green line service is re assuming this morning after a trolly derailed. the wheels slipped off the rail at costly last night causing severe delays. shuttle buses were used between kenmore and park street. the ntsb said regular green line service is re assuming this morning. chris. >> thank you.

fire in revere. crews responded to the home just before 2:00. the fire damaged the second floor. no injuries have been reported. new from over night, a warning for boston college students. police are increasing patrols after reports a man committed a lewd act near campus. boston college police say it happened somewhere in the area between 2000 and 2150 commonwealth avenue. they say the suspect may be in a white sedan. they are asking s alone and report anything suspicious they may see to 911. scary moments on another college campus. >> students evacuated after reports of an armed clown there. there was a website to monitor scary clowns. police were notified. several hundred students were evacuated from one of the dorms there. police didn't find anything and gave

this is a series of creepy clown sightings nationwide, some of which have resulted in arrests. a school superintendent arrested on a drunk driving charge apologized and resigned. the decision was announced after an emergency school board meeting last night. mary delai was arrested in august but news of that oui came to light revently. delai was criticized for allowing the teacher charged with domestic vioe a landscaper killed in a crash in melrose. police are still investigating. he was standing outside when he was hit by a car and killed. three people inside of the car were taken to the hospital. so far no charges have been filed. 4:34 right now. the latest now on hurricane matthew. it's a category 4 storm with 145 mile per hour winds beginning to bear

expected to pass over the south western tip of haiti at dawn. the outer bands flooded streets there. people in high risk areas were evacuated in haiti and the dominican republic. precautions have been taken in jamaica and cuba and as far north as the carolinas. a state of emergency has been declared in florida and parts of north carolina. in colorado 1200 people evacuated and put on standby as wild fires moved through small mountain town of baloa. 4 miles have been destroyed including homes. students had to be evacuated from their school. checking in on campaign 2016 now, new hampshire senator kelly aot saying she misspoke during a debate last night. she was asked if he should tell a child to be like trump and she said absolutely i would do that. after the debate though she released a statement saying in part i misspoke tonight.

accused of destroying evidence in a case against him. he was fired after the chief deleted several hundred text messages from a city-owned cell phone that was part of that investigation. the investigation was about a relationship that campnelo had with two women who the city said feared for their safety. >> the chief would like to thank the hundreds and hundreds of people who reached out to them during this phishing investigation. >> november 2nd. orange line riders could benefit from a casino coming to everett. according to the globe state transportation officials are hoping to build a new orange line station on commercial street in mauldin. it's all part of a long-term transit plan that's being considered in part due to the new wynn resorts casinos being built near by.

eastern side of cuba today, coming through the bahamas during the day tomorrow and tomorrow as a category 3, still major powerful hurricane and then kind of parallels the coastline of eastern florida into thursday and early on friday. notice there's that cone of uncertainty. there's certainly -- if you haven't tuned in since yesterday there's been a west ward shift in the track of matthew here. as we head into the start of the week notice what happens, towards the outer banks of the carolinas. that cone of uncertainty. this is saturday at 8:00 p.m. any potential impact here at home wouldn't be until the tail end of the weekend and potentially for columbus day. what is going to happen is the jet stream is going to scoop up and take matthew. one thing we're looking at, there's a lot of players in the atmosphere, there's a front coming in late in the weekend. that may help to kick matthew out to the northeast or the two may

a gun and got away with cash. a second suspect waiting outside was also spotted with a gun. if you have any information you should call police. 4:54 right now. the man accused of posing as an uber driver and sexual assaulting a u mass studio is due in district court today. it was last month that 18-year-old samuel textador was arrested. he removed his gps monitoring bracelet and disappeared this weekend. arrest. later today he will be arraigned. an armed robbery suspect dead after police shot him in lynn. police say the suspect pointed a gun at them. that's when shots were fired and he was killed. police say he was wanted in an armed hold up at the porthole club last month. the suspect's name has not been released and the shooting is under investigation. a salem, new hampshire mother has been charged with end

was run over by her car. amy lynn bohem gave her keys to her 7-year-old daughter and told her to start the car. well, she started to car and then accidentally ran over her younger sister who suffered several injuries. the girl was med flighted to boston children's hospital. she will be arraigned in november. a massive mess at lawrence high school veteran's memorial stadium. it's the after math of the weekend brazilian festival that took place on the field. attended the music festival on sunday and left piles of beer cans and bottles on the field. the city had to tow a coors light truck off the field. >> for people not to clean up their mess bothers me. >> the school hopes to have their field back in shape for the first home game.
