and then it eventuallily curves off to the northeast and look at the loop it starts to do moving back south and east and gradually weakening as we head into the day on sunday and the start of next week. good news for us here at home obviously the southeast united states on alert, on guard and prepping for hurricane matthew here. 51 in boston right now. we're in the 30s in some spots. a chilly start 35 in bedford. we're 54 in marshfield. a little bit of fog patchy but locally dense so places like orange and springfield you can barely see right now. just use caution this morning. other than that the fog burns off by mid-morning and we're in for a gorgeous day today. sunshine we'll be up

lawyers for hernandez want witness descriptions barred from his upcoming double murder trial. the defense is asking a judge to prevent the jury from hearing witness descriptions from the gunman. prosecutors say that's what cross examination is for. he's accused of shooting and killing 2 men outside a boston scheduled for december. a surprising admission from the man accused of opening fire on police officers. prosecutors say the 2 men setup a meeting with undercover officers to sell 3 stolen guns on tuesday. and one of the men confessed that they were planning to rob whoever showed up. police say when the sting operation turned violent one suspect held a pistol to a troopers head. there was a gun fight but no one was hit. both men appeared in
