honored to know both of them. they're like family now. >> so out of that tragic night something good came out of it, a lasting friendship. reporting live from taunton, i'm bill shields, wbz news. incredible story. also breaking tonight, the deadly plane crash in connecticut has now been ruled an intentional act. the source tells the ap the student pilot wanted to commit suicide. tonight the fbi is handling a possible criminal that plane actually survived and reportedly told investigators that this crash was no accident and that there was a fight inside the pock pit. we have the very latest developments. christina? >> reporter: the investigators are moving the plane wreckage into a tractor-trailer hoping to open this road back up by this evening. this first got the attention of the fbi and other authorities

the defense contractor's corporate headquarters, but now the sources are saying this was not an act of terrorism. you couldn't dell from the fireball in the photographs and cell phone video. but a day later we know these are the charred remains of a student and instructor pilot duo on board a source close to the investigation tells the associated press it was a suicide not terrorism. >> the information indicates this plane crash was intentional, but crystal clear. the sours beyond that are being investigated. >> reporter: the plane's owner is recovering in a hospital burn you want unit. the student on board was killed. >> it sounded like a 4th of july. a deep bang. my whole body shook. >> reporter: and then the president of american eagle credit union says the crash survive ran into the lobby burning. >> he was badly burned and

there were a lot of injuries. >> reporter: about three and a half miles away, authorities, including the fbi, went into a hartford apartment building. the neighbors saying the investigators were in the home of a group of young flight school students. >> i'm sad that it is a neighbor of ours. >> what do you think of all of this activity? >> i was scared. >> reporter: the surviving instruct for is listed as the plane's owner and the owner oh after flight score run out of a nearby brain ard press, the student was disgruntled and arguing before the crash. the instructor unable to regain control. the student pilot who died, and the instructor who is now in the hospital and who has now been talking to investigators, and the police tell us there was no black box on board r board. in east hartford, wbz news.

south end. and he hides his face as he goes before a judge. the police arrested that man overnight. he broke into a home, tied up two women inside and raped one of them. wbz's beth germano is live in the south end now with the latest. beth? >> reporter: the violent assault has certainly shaken the south end neighborhood, including what the suspect is alleged to have said to one of his victims. the residents say it is also troubling he has a history of such violence. in less than 24 hours, the on at a local homeless shelter. >> it is definitely an uneasy feeling to know that is happening in our own back yard. >> reporter: the 52-year-old shielding his face in court is responsible for the violent sexual assault in both's south end, attacking two women inside their apartment in the middle of the night. >> that is really the scary part of it because you think you're home safe and you're just not. >> reporter: and this is ronald brown ton state's sex offendser registry, a level three

toward bermuda. i just texted a while ago one of my friend whose lives in bermuda and he say this is one will be rocky. the hatches are battened, the rum is stocked. so that sounds like a bermuda hurricane. >> that definitely sounds like a bermuda hurricane there. dark and stormy is the way they live. this is a powerful hurricane, no doubt about it. bermuda is one of the most fortified areas in when it comes to building restrictions. bermuda is about 22 miles long so that eye can move right up over the entire island by tomorrow morning. this is going to be the strongest hurricane there since fabian in 2003. convenient though bermuda can take a strong hurricane hit, that one did leave a lot of damage. it is expected to reach category three status which will be 115 miles per hour

up over bermuda tomorrow morning and early afternoon so this is something i think they will be taking seriously, even on an island that can handle a big storm and then it moves out to sea and weakens. so it will be a one-day thing. in terms of us nchts will,. >> nice cool weather. international falls, minnesota at 37 degrees now, in the late ag the dividing line, a few rain showers that is our forecast for tomorrow. so tonight we're clouding up. low clouds will tend to fill in as the night goes on and the temperatures are staying in the 40s for the most part. not as cold as the last couple of nights. you see the low clouds spilling in, even a little bit of mist or drizzle is available. i do think we will get breaks of sunshine and because we will get the sunny breaks, a pretty mild day. and in terms of any rain, mostly we're talking about the

the best chance is north and west of boston. not expecting a lot of overall rain and the front will scoot offshore tomorrow night. for high temperatures after a start in the 40s to around 50, we're looking at low 70s because of the breaks of sunshine. the 60s in central mass and 60s toward the south coast and the cape as well. friday we have high pressure building in, which mean as gusty northwest breeze. definitely jacket weather. the good news for saturday is that high is right over new england that means the winds are going to ca we'll have wall-to-wall sunshine and all weekend plans look like a go outdoors. highs in the 50s to around 60. less wind. we could see some frost on saturday morning also. and then on sunday, another cold morning. a nicer rebound to the afternoon. we're up into the 60s. some high clouds will start to move in, but no other issues a big game out at gillette. cool, quiet. partly cloudy with temperatures in the 60s.
