tom brady makes his home debut this afternoon. all but erasing the days of his deflategate suspension. sought right here on your patriots station. i am ken macleod. >> and i am katie brace. the pats got stronger in the 2nd health and the bengals self- destructed. tim -- team coverage begins with steve burton. truck tom brady made his first regular stadium start since last december and fans were out in full force to cheer on number 12. the patriots improved to 5-1 on the year. tom brady takes the field at gillette for the first time this season. seven -3 -- 7 -3 cincinnati. the patriots go up 10 7 at the half.

>> yes it does. today, we had a high temp of 71 degrees. it's hard to think we could get warmer but we will going into our midweek forecast. 62 degrees right now in boston and manchester. very mild for us as temperatures are running warmer compared to yesterday. 20 degrees degrees -- 20 degrees warmer in nashua, lows around 50 degrees and that gusty southwest wind and the clouds keeping temperatures more elevated tonight. satellite radar shows a few showers pushing into southern hampshire coast but this cold front, very weekend along it those showers dissipate. most of today and tomorrow will be dry. temps in the 50s and then for the ride home, 74 degrees. coming up, when the 80s arrive in the seven-day forecast. >> thanks, pamela. fire in the back they cost almost $1 million in damage. >> it erupted at a brownstone on newbury street. that's where we find jim smith with the latest on the

>> reporter: the cause of this fire is under investigation tonight. the damage to the bottom two floors of this brownstone is intense. it's a real mess but here is the good news. right now, we have no reports of injuries. >> there is smoke everywhere. >> reporter: newberry street was filled with firefox on a busy sunday night. a four-story brownstone going up in flames. a restaurant was on the basement floor and an art gallery above that, and above >> they could see the flames and they said get out, get out, get out! i didn't realize. it was below me . >> reporter: no one was hurt but damage to the restaurant and art gallery is severe, broken glass everywhere. >> we saw all this month billing without -- billowing out and five fire trucks coming. they were breaking all the class

estimated at nearly $1 million. a chocolate shop next-door narrowly escaped damage. >> right before halloween we don't want to lose our inventory to a fire. we can't take losses. even smoke what affect quality of the product as well. >> reporter: and once again, the cause of this fire remains under investigation and it remains to be seen how long these tenants will be display stand when these businesses that have been affected will get back to normal. jim smith on wb >> thanks. there was a -- there was a serious crash this afternoon went to vehicles hit head-on at franklin and south streets. we are told one of the drivers was unresponsive at the scene and taken to the hospital. two other people were also taken to the hospital. the search is on for the gunman who shot a two-year-old

aiming at the girl's father as part of a gang dispute. the toddler is recovering. chantee lans is live in boston where police say the intended target is not telling the truth tonight. >> reporter: that's right police say the father is not cooperating but i will tell you what mayor marty walsh said today that is disturbing. one day after a toddler was shot in roxbury while sitting in her car seat, boston's mayor is calling on the child's father to come forward with information that could lead to an arrest. >> they clearly were going after this young girl's fath to the police about it, which i just can't fathom that he is not willing to help us with this investigation to find out who might have shot at him and shot his two-year-old daughter in the car seat. >> reporter: the two-year-old girl was shot in the backseat of a car on winslow street. her father was standing just outside. police say the bullet went straight through her hand and leg. >> the baby appears to be fine. i visited with the baby down in

>> reporter: investigators say the suspect was driving a green and black motorscooter when he opened fire. >> shots rang out consecutively. >> reporter: both police and the mayor are frustrated that the father is not giving any information. >> the father here is a known gang kid to us who is also not telling us the truth of what is happening. >> that's a coward right there and it bothers me. we are trying to figure out who did the shooting. >> reporter: neighbors are now calling on the shooter to come forward. >> how you can just sit back and not say something, that's crazy. who does that? what human being can rest their head knowing you hurt a child? >> reporter: and the little girl continues to recover tonight. meanwhile, child services is investigating the case. by that boston police headquarters, chantee lans wbz

both men are recovering from several surgeries and are still listed as critical but stable. the officers came under fire last week. investigators say kirk figueroa ambush them as the cost responded to a domestic disturbance call. figueroa was then shot dead by police. taking a live look outside, you can see the prudential tower lit in blue and support of the boston police department as officers recover. neighbors in revere were in place for hours. when police arrived on a call of shots fired, a man was barricaded with several other people who refused to come out. everyone eventually came out and police are still investigating. still ahead, finds forgiven. >> keolis off the hook for hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines stemming from that horrible winter two years ago. plus, campaign 2016.

a storm is fizzling out in the pacific. widespread damage was caused in washington state. the mta has forgiven $80,000 in fines against the company that runs the commuter rail system. thousands were stranded by late or canceled trains during that brutal winter the year before last. keolis says they re maintenance workers were pulled from normal jobs to shorten delays. even so, keolis says it has already paid more than $6.5 million in fines stemming from that ugly winter. we don't need to talk about low temperatures because it's almost summerlike. >> a beautiful weekend. >> amazing and it just keeps getting better with the warmth coming at us. 70s and 80s on the way. hopefully you got to take

some of the surfers out there did. some good wave action on scituate and we had some clouds on the horizon but it was nice and dry and water temperature around 60 degrees. it was a perfect day as long as you had a wetsuit on. boston hit 71 degrees today. the average high is 61 degrees, 10 degrees above where we should be. not even close to the record highs but that's all right. 71 degrees felt wonderful. we could be chasing a couple records as we get into the later part of this week. tomorrow, in the 70s, not close to a record. tuesday, boston could hit 80 degrees. the record is 82 degrees from 1947. 78 degrees on wednesday with a record of 84 degrees from 1945. if we see a record, it may be on tuesday. in boston, a mile 62 degrees, dew point 56 degrees. southwest wind still 13 miles per hour.

and because of that wind direction still coming from the southwest, that is helping keep temperatures more elevated than what we experienced this time yesterday. 62 degrees in boston, the same in lawrence and manchester. we also have some clouds trapping in daytime heat that we accumulated act like a blanket with a southwest breeze. low temperatures won't be quite as chilly. 50s at most and some mid-50s may be in some of the suburbs. tomorrow, waking up to 74 afternoon, the seabreeze develops as the wind subsides just a little bit but with that seabreeze, we stayed -- stay a tad cooler with mid-70s farther inland. depending on how much sunshine you see. we do expect more clouds and sunshine during the day but it's going to be filtered sunshine and feeling wonderful even to the south and east right around 70 degrees. we're still tracking drought conditions. compared to last week, we have

southeastern massachusetts but still extreme drought conditions across the boston into worcester area. we do have a some chance for rain tonight. satellite radar picture shows a couple showers trying to push through southern new hampshire but this is a broken cold front and it's not going to carry a lot of moisture. overnight, spotty showers but a lot of that dries up tomorrow morning and in that cold front, that doesn't pass all the way through. we keep the potential clouds monday evening and a spotty shower. that same boundary will lift up the warm front tuesday. that is why we are going to see that bigger surge of warmth as temperatures soar into the 80s and high pressure, that don't just grows and grows into tuesday and wednesday. an area of low pressure to our north and another low to our south in the tropics. depending on where those lows track and how high that
