all three were taken to the the hospital. the driver was also taken to the hospital. the good news is none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening, but many neighbors who heard the crash immediately came out to see what they can to do to help. . >> around the side of the house and hearing the kids screaming, and i go over -- one of the mothers you know, seemed like she got hit also. shock. one of the -- the child was still in the stroller with a head injury to the back of the head and side. and i asked if i could take him out because he was slumped over and i wand to keep him from moving around. i took him out. laid him on the ground. removed my shirt applied pressure to his head and

are coming from every direction, the grandmother wanting justice for her granddaughter and city officials who want to give it to her. they believe the answers could start with the father. >> i can't fathom that that he's not willing to help us with this investigation to find out who might have shot at him, who shot his daughter. >> reporter: but this scene is one many have witnessed far too often, an innocent child at the level. >> that's crazy what human being can go to sleep at night and rest there are head knowing that you hurt a child. >> reporter: that little girl's grandmother also tells the globe that the child has been a trooper in all of this, and again she is going to be just fine. this certainly gave the family quite a scare. but right now again, this grandmother as well as the mayor and the police commissioner are urging anyone with information to come forward and they continue to have that

. also a large shooting now deadly. the district attorney says a 34-year old was shot in an alley last night around 9. he was rushed to the hospital where he later died. police have not released a motive in the shooting and say there have been no arrests. right now at noon a level 3 sex offender once sentenced to nearly 200 years in priso back in court facing charges for violating parole and his early release. . >> reporter: when richard gardner got released from a rhode island prison he came to his family's home in weymouth. he's a level 3 sex offender and then ended up in a public library which is against his conditions. so he was arrested. today was an extradition hearind extradition

island soon. . >> he served a sentence, a long sentence he may well serve more time if the idea that he lives until 95 dies at the adult institution. >> reporter: the 49-year old served 20 years in rhode island on a 50 years sentence for sexually assaulting 2 kids there but when he was released recently he came here to his parents's home, but the locals didn't want offender in their neighborhood. >> i'm picking my neighbors kids up at bus stops because no one wants their kids to walk home. it's just sad. >> reporter: he was arrested after violating his parole when he went to a public library. so today in court with his head covered he waived extradition and will be taken back to rhode island to face parole violation charges. his attorney argues

battle is underway in iraq as the country tries to reclaim their second largest city from isis. forces stormed into the villages this morning backed up by u.s. air strikes. the operation is expected to take weeks if not months. also breaking this noon one person is dead, 6 others injured in a german chemical plant explosion. the blast happened in a southwest river harbor used gas. a large plume of black smoke bill lowed over the scene. people have been told to stay inside and keep their windows closed. for the first time this season tom brady took the field at home sunday. the patriots hosted the bengals and got off to a slow start with a close score of 10-7 at half time but brady and company turned it on in the second half as gronkowski

p.m. well this afternoon the debate over pushing back school start times will take center stage at boston city hall. counselors are holding a hearing on the issue. they cite research showing a lack of sleep for teen-agers leads to lower grades depression and car crashes even. right now half of boston high school starts before 7:30. and this november massachusetts voters will decide if on charter schools. tonight we'll hold a debate at 8:00 on my 38 and our facebook page live. time to get a check of the forecast. you are on a lot of people's good list this week. >> yeah. >> i know, the question is: for kids going to school it's going to be a lot warmer. >> here's the thing hopefully you didn't put away the summer clothes. beautiful look at the city right now where it is well above average. this time of the

just starting to build in. you see then there, this is actually the warm front that's going to be lifting northward and bring us that punch of summer warmth over the next couple of days. there is rain with it but that will stay to our north. maybe an isolated sprinkle or shower as that warm front lifts northward this evening and overnight tonight. i can't rule out a spotty shower along north of the mass pike, notice the bulk north. tomorrow morning early you'll wake up to clouds and then the front comes through. we get a gusty south, southwest wind, push 80 plus in several spots. and then on wednesday cold front comes in, but ahead of it we still push 80 on wednesday afternoon and the front doesn't have a ton moisture with it. our only chance of wet weather this week comes in thursday and friday. overnight tonight 61, that

imagine if your child were trapped in a failing school. imagine if your child couldn't read or write at grade level. imagine if your child were stuck on a waiting list. 32,000 kids want to go to a public charter school. but they can't. if you like your public school, question 2 won't affect you. but for kids stuck in failing school districts, question 2 will let parents choose something better and give all our kids hope. please vote yes on question 2. i just want what's best for my kids. when i hear arguments that massachusetts needs more charter schools, i think: what about the students in all of our schools? every new charter takes away more money from the existing public schools. that's 400 million dollars, just last year. we can't afford to drain even more money from our kids' schools because they're already losing so much. i'm not just standing up for my own kids;
