bay exit. >> a car ran into the front of cheetos restaurant near blue hill. this happened shortly before 4:00. the damage is extensive to the car and the front of that building. one person was sent to the hospital. >> now to a developing story. a teenage boy hit and killed by an suv while riding his bicycle. that driver is also a teenager. >> let's get to nicole jacobs. >> chris, it all happened here on main street. police have not yet released the name of that young teenage bicyclist, but they also haven't released whether or not charges will be filed for the driver of the suv who was 18 years old. >> around dusk tuesday, emergency crews were called to main street in brockton. a young boy hit and killed while riding his bike. >> it's a very active

witnesses. >> hours into the investigation, authorities had few clues. the victim was a teenager, they say, but all other information unknown. >> what's going on right now is we are working closely with school officials and the cell phone that the boy had. >> accident reconstructionists were on the scene well into the night trying toe determine how the crash happened. the 18-year-old driver did stop and was interviewed by was cooperative. no charges filed at this point, it's very early in the investigation. >> so many questions surrounding this tragedy that left a community in deep sorrow. >> it's enough when it's a child, it's gut wrenching. ism i'm a father of six. some families life changed for ever tonight. >> at this point, the district

this investigation. again, it's unclear if charges will be filed and what contributing factors led to this crash. we're live in brockton, wbz this morning. >> 6:04. a man working on his car shot in dorchester. a gunman fired about 15 rounds and then ran off. the man was rushed to boston medical center with life threatening injuries. no word on any arrest. a swimmer who got caught in a rip current pulled to safety. ana is live with all of the details. ana. >> what an incredible rescue and happy outcome for this man ask his family. he was stranded in the ocean for several hours before that helicopter spotted him. 58-year-old, randall and his son-in-law, 28-year-old, alexander went swimming

wearing wet suits. but they became separated by strong rip currents and dense fog. around 7:00. the swimmers hadn't returned home, their family grew anxious and called 911. the coast guard launched a massive search with the helicopter and airplane and a rescue boat. officials say a short time later, the 28-year-old managed to swim to shore and walk to the command post. but it wasn't until two hours later that the helicopter spotted the 58-year-old tweeding a mile offshore. he was reunited with his family, he was taken to the hospital where he was in stable condition. reporting live, wbz this morning. a man exposing himself to elementary school students in andover. police are hoping security camera footage or alert neighbors will help track him down. that man exposed himself twice to a parking lot that face the

authorities had a really difficult time identifying this teenage boy who was riding his bicycle. he did not have any id with him. authorities on the scene yesterday, they were here for several hours trying to identify this teenager and determine exactly how this crash happened. we do know an 18-year-old was behind the wheel of a gray suv. police say he did stop scene and was cooperative with them in the investigation process. at this point, authorities have not released that young victim's identity. the mayor of brockton expresses great sadness about the tragedy. >> tough enough when it's a child. it's more gut wrenching. i'm a father of six. you know, i know that some families life change for ever

attorney's office is handling this investigation. but, as for contributing factors of this crash, that is still unknown. we don't know what caused it. i can tell you also, they have not yet said if charges will be file ed against that 18-year- old driver. nicole jacobs. >> a foggy rescue, a swimmer who got caught in a rip current pulled to safety by a coast guard helicopter. wb this rescue. ana. >> reporter: chris, what an amazing rescue and a happy outcome for this man and his family. coast guard officials say he was stranded in the ocean for several hours before that helicopter spotted him. 58-year-old, randall and his son-in-law, 28-year-old, alexander went swimming together around 5:30 yesterday. the coast guard says they were wearing wet suits and are said to be strong swimmers, but they

mental health evaluation. investigators say that woman had a gun. she barricaded herself and her daughter for an hour. police are holding that woman without bail. governor baker is expected to sign a measure to protect evidence of sexual assault. the bill would require evidence be preserved for 15 years in unreported cases. current law only mandates it be held for six months, unless the victim files with law enforcement. the extra time is necessary to deal with the emotional trauma. >> a sex offender is charged with raping a 13-year-old girl he met through the social media app, kick. he was arrested monday after police say he picked up the girl, drove her to a cemetery, and assaulted her. officer rs say he was wearing a gps monitoring device at the
