breaking right now at 11 a 13-year-old grazed by a bullet sleeping in his bed. we're live on scene. the final presidential debate and the candidates did not hold back. the sharpest exchanges. . plus she didn't know she was pregnant. the surprise for a local woman who thought she had a stomachache. studios in boston this is wbz news at 11:0 . breaking news tonight a boy grazed by a stray bullet in his own bed. he was hit after gunshots erupted outside. nick is live in chelsea tonight where police are searching for the gunman right now, nick? >> i can tell you police are searching for more than one suspect at this hour right now. neighbors telling us this may have been the result of gang activity.

were fired from one side of this street to the other. in and around bolston park. family members said one shot was fired into the third floor of the building next to the park. ajas sent to the -- adjacent to the park. it hit a 13-year-old boy lying in bed at time. it hit him in the shoulder the family member told us and he is undergoing surgery. listen to what one of th experience who did not want to be identified on camera. >> a lot of crazy stuff going on here. >> and we're told that 13-year- old boy is expected to be okay. i can tell you no arrests have been made at this hour. we understand that police are searching for two suspects at this time though. they tell us those suspects took off in a dark ford

>> one of two boston police officers who was shot in the line of duty a week ago tonight is now out of the hospital. officer richard cintolo was critically injured in that shootout and underwent several surgeries. jim smith is live tonight where his partner is still recovering, jim? >> yes, that's true david. matt morris does remain here at mgh. thanks to great work at mass general the other officer shot was >> one week ago things looked grim for two boston police officers badly wounded in a shootout where a suspect was killed in east boston. for a time both officers were in critical condition. now good news. one of them, richard cintolo, has been released from mass general. >> i'm very happy. last wednesday night i would have never thought he'd be home with the shape he was in.

everyone prayed for him and we're happy he's home. he has a long road ahead of him. >> his fellow officer remains at mgh. the commissioner is looking forward to the day when officer morris is released as well. >> we have to pray for matt. he's still in the hospital. he could be there another couple of days. he'll be a long rehab. you know, they're lucky guys, and we're lucky to still have them. >> so once again officer matt morris still being at mgh. but he has been upgraded to stable condition. and in the words of the police commissioner he's getting better. live jim smith wbz news. the men who blew up an lgbt newspaper box are in custody weeks after the explosion in se lem. police tell us -- salem. police tell us they were caught on camera running away moments after the blast.

getting a great look tonight at the rescue of a swimmer missing on the north shore. a coast guard helicopter lifting him to safety last night. randall had treaded water in a wet after getting caught in a rip current. his son-in-law made it to shore on his own. >> well all new at 11:00 oh baby. a local woman says she didn't know she was pregnant until hours before she gave birth. she had stomach pains that wouldn't go away. >> and never imagined that she was actually in labor. >> what do you want it to be?

she went to the hospital with a stomachache where doctors discovered she was pregnant. >> you're 15 weeks pregnant. i was like that's do able and then another -- doable and then another said you're more than 15 you're 36. and then my water breaks. >> that sents into action. they rushed her to the maternity ward. one ep du hours -- epidural and 30 hours -- 6 hours later she had a baby. >> i lived a normal life. i worked full time. like i -- there was no symptoms, no cravings. i got my period. there couldn't have been any hints. i'm trying to figure out how he was in my stomach. there's no way. i told him he was hiding.

many suburbs cooling off nicely. 49 in norwood. taunton sitting at 50 degrees. pleasantly cool tomorrow morning. watching some rain and cloutd cover reaching off -- cloud cover reaching off from parts of the ohio valley. the morning itself not a bad start. upper 40s to low 50s. midday that increasing clouds cover. with the wind off the atlantic that's going to keep high temperatures in the 60s. above average for many t much cooler than the unusual weather today. the clouds thickening up by the evening. showers will breakout during the second half of the day. 62 to 68 across the area. that breeze out of the east. the coolest temperatures along the coast. the day starting with sun. you see the clouds moving in during the afternoon. best chance of rain showers north and west of boston. boston area south and east likely will not see rain

this is where we have more cloud cover. we've got scattered showers and then a chance for some steadier heavier rainfall moving in friday evening and night. our best chance at seeing some significant rain. the winds switch southerly on friday. humid outside and mild. high temperatures around 70. here come the bigger changes for the weekend. an as that storm -- as that storm passes on saturday the rain shuts down in the morning. 50s during the afternoon. it's quite chilly. that's snow in northern new england on sunday. mild temperatures, a chance for early day rain. those temperatures fall during the second half. plus we'll have the winds gusting 25 to as much as 50 miles per hour. not a good raking day or sundays either. much cooler. you see some of those gusts
