ems tells us one person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. no word yet on any arrests. now, to a developing story, a 13-year old boy grazed by a stray bullet in his own bed. police responded to reports of shots fired between a group of youths just after 8 last night. they say the boy who was in a third floor apartment was hit in the shoulder. neighbors tell us they believe this park. >> a lot of crazy stuff. we need to stop all this violence. >> the teen was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. investigators are searching for 2 suspects who left the scene in dark colored are ford. the shooting led to a brief lock down of bunker hill community college.

i just want what's best for my kids. when i hear arguments that massachusetts needs more charter schools, i think: what about the students in all of our schools? every new charter takes away more money from the existing public schools. we can't afford to drain even more money from our kids' schools because they're already losing so much. i'm not just standing up for my own kids; i'm fighting for yours, too. please join me in voting no on question 2. dear fellow citizen, time spent with my son really makes me appreciate "the now". but i also have to plan for my family's future. and that means taking on debt. in a smart way.

more rain where that came from too down in ohio. this is a slow moving front that's going to return to new england. what that means for us is we're on the cooler side. highs today only top out in the low 60s in boston, middle to upper 60s inland and some may come close to 70 degrees today. now, the morning is fine, it's bright, cool, even through mid-day i'll takeou the hour by hour, still in for a lot of sunshine through the first part of the afternoon. then the second half of the day especially you're going to notice the clouds increasing. notice not a lot of green showing up on the map. so most of the day is dry, looking good and eventually we see some green show up between 6 and 8 p.m., we get some scattered showers generally light. so tonight expect clouds areas of fog and showers, low

boston is beefing up its emt force to improve response times. according to the globe the emergency medical selveses department will add 20 additional people by next spring. current there are about 350 full-time emts on staff. it comes from a budget increase and the money will go towards replacing 10 ageing ambulances. an army reservist struggling to pay his medicine bills. he had a heart attack during his the military won't pay for his treatment. >> this past year has been as difficult as challenging as my deemployeement. >> reporter: he's an army veteran, a current active reserve member but lately him and his wife have been in a different battle a fight to get health benefits from the army. it began when he took a physical fitness test last november. >> we were doing the push-ups, i

are heading to court. sky eye was over the scene yesterday. 2 suspects were arrested at the scene, a third escaped setting off a massive manhunt. officers say they found him hiding in a shed. the parents of a high school math teacher murder by her student are suing the town of danvers and the school district. his parents want to know how he could she could be attacked. they say security cameras at the school failed to protect her. the lawsuit also names the cleaning company that washed away potential evidence. the family says any money awarded in the lawsuit would go to improving school safety and charities. sweet green in downtown crossing is back open this morning after it closed voluntarily. the city found health violations. the chain
