scene before 1:00 upon hearing reports of a water main break. >> there's water in the trench. >> neighbors said the water rushing down the street made the intersection look like a river. members of a private construction crew stuck ends neither it. the mission became a recovery effort to locate two bodies in the trench. >> i think it will be quite a while. they have to firm up the hole before the firefighters and rescue can the two bodies a tough week here in boston. two police officers were shot last week, a two year old girl was shot and we have some workers here today. it shows you life is precious. >> reporter: a tough week and it's not over. the mayor telling us the workers out here may continue into the early morning hours here and this part of dartmouth may be shut down for days as the investigation continues

were working in the construction site. >> grechen was walking by when it happened. >> i walked up to the hole in the ground and the water was gushing and they were screaming that someone was down there. there was no emergency crew on site yet, no police or firearm. >> nearby business owners looked over to see if intersection flooding and workers on the street frantic for help. >> they were running ou until they got people and they knew how many people were down there. >> it was a horrific scene played out in midday in one of the busiest neighborhoods in the city. >> i realized there was somebody trapped in there. >> the water filled the hole. >> there was so much water, once in two minutes -- in two minutes the whole street was covered in water. 0. >> witnesses say at one .1 of

getting into princeton seeing heavier downpours and stretching up through shirley and new hampshire and it's moving south to north, you can stack up a lot of rain in a short amount of time and likely street flooding out there so be cautious if you're heading out this even into south western new hampshire. temperature wise not seeing much cooling tonight. staying in the 60s and humid and i mentioned basically moving to the west towards wooser county. moving south through north through midnight tonight then we get a lull early tomorrow morning. i think we will be mainly dry and track another round of showers and downpours late morning through the middle afternoon crossing the region. after that it's about the wind picking up tomorrow evening and it could be damaging over the course of the weekend. we'll take a look at that coming up. you can keep track of the

the cbs boston weather app. it is giving you video forecasts right on your phone. a lawrence man accused of kidnapping and raping a 13 year old girl on her way to school. he faced a judge today and we learned another woman was also attacked by the same man. let's get out to beth romano who is live in lawrence with this development. >> reporter: the woman came forward last night after hearing news of the same neighborhood. the teenager girl was sexually assaulted in the second floor apartment. the red curtain described to them helped them find where it happened. >> more than one sexual assault case he faced in court today. a woman came forward saying he attempted to rape her back in may in the same neighborhood

out there this evening. a subtropical low and on the northern periphery adding in tropical moisture. if you're traveling tonight expect street flood to go be taking place and rough travel conditions and temperatures staying very mild tonight. the cooler air still to the west really not feeling it until late in the day tomorrow. same goes for the humidity. really high dew points like summertime in the 60s starting to dry out until we what also. we mentioned the guidance pointing towards the east. three miles to the west and that heavier rainfall moving its way south to north and spotty showers on either side. tomorrow morning the quietest part of the day, if you want to get outside and runner rands and go for a jog, early in the morning looks mainly dry and no wind yet. as we head towards late morning and mid afternoon, a band of showers and downpours are

and then starting to dry out again as we head into tomorrow night. getting colder and snow falling tomorrow night. so in terms of temperatures, in the 60s for the first half of the day tomorrow and then bringing in a rush of colder air. so as we head towards the evening getting chilly into central mast and then the air is getting towards the coastline as we head in tomorrow night. tomorrow night into sunday, 30- 50 miles per hour for the higher terrain as well this will likely bring down stressed out trees because of the drought and also a lot of leaves and could create scattered power outages in addition to making it feel colder. the core of the strongest winds saturday evening and sunday morning and then starting to ub side as we head into late afternoon sunday and evening. chilly sunday and 56 degrees feeling much colder because of the wind blowing hard throughout the day.
