milder temperatures towards south eastern massachusetts. clear skies and freeze watches have been posted for areas that might not have had a freeze yet. we head into thursday and a storm system is running into a chance at the on set of this that we could see snow and ice. that's something we have to keep a close eye on. it will come down to how cold our morning temps get and when the clouds come in to cap warming.

police say were going the wrong way on 495. >> the preliminary investigation leaves investigators to believe that the wrong way operator vehicle struck the northbound vehicle head on. the vehicle became engulfed in fire. >> reporter: it was after midnight last night. the driver of the white infinity hit the mercury with the fo and the mercury bursted into flames. >> mile marker 8 wrong way crash. >> middleboro firefighters were on the scene within minutes. >> none of the fatalities are pleasant for us but this was exceptionally horrific for our guys and for the families involved. >> police believe the infinity was on the highway for a few minutes when it crashed head on
