accomplices were ransacking a car outside. the thieves took off and police are looking for them. in switzerland, a driver chasing his own car. the driver pulled over to the side of the road to talk to a friend and never put it in park. there goes the car and there goes the guy. it hits the guardrail and goes across the road. he's fortunate hit. in alabama, a deer walked into a bar. no, really. police officers and game wardens worked for two hours to coax an animal out of a building. the bar was under renovation. they weren't worried about damage, they just wanted the animal out safely. >> i thought at first you were telling one of my dad's jokes. >> it did have that feeling.

and about. our next developing storm -- that's heading our way for thursday. but tonight's story is the cold. partly cloudy skies and it stays breezy, and temps 28 to 34 by tomorrow morning. boston hits the upper 30s. freeze warnings for essex county. and places like franklin. not included northern bristol for most of these towns. not included the south shore to the cape and the islands. a little too much wind should keep temperatures above freezing. and a cold and brisk morning, puffy coat weather. towards midday, a brisk breeze and it will be cloudy on cape cod. and you might get a rain shower on cape cod.

tomorrow night is colder than tonight. widespread 20s after highs in the mid- to upper 40s and maybe a town or two hitting 50 degrees. bright skies and below average temperatures. and then we head to thursday and in comes the storm system and it's going to run into the colder air. this should be arriving in the afternoon. and at the beginning, a chance for snow and sleet. and it's going to change to cold rainfall. and we might get thunder and lightning as we head to thursday night. rain lingering before we dry out. in terms of snow, it's more of the novelty kind. the chance for a little bit. west of 495 and the best chance for accumulating near the berkshires. a good one to 2 inches of rainfall looks to be a good bet. putting a little dent in the
