i am kate merrill. >> i am chris mckinnon. it is wednesday, october 26 and danielle niles is in this morning and it is cold. >> it is 5 degrees to 50 degrees colder this time for the 38 degrees, in boston, and it has been a while -- 31 in worcester, 37 in nashua and most of us in the mid-30s. mid-30s from beverly to lawrence, 33 in plymouth and 30s for some of us on cape cod, in the lower 40s province and down to chat him. the freeze warnings are up until 9:00 a.m. this morning. the temperatures are at or below 32 in spots with the end to the growing season and the ve clouds and it will be a very similar to to what we had yesterday. cold sunshine for the morning rush, sunrise at 7:11 am, sunshine and clouds, 44 for lunchtime and the wind show will be in the upper 30s at times. the wind is not as gusty as yesterday but it will be about 10 miles per hour to 20 miles per hour and the sunset is 5:45 pm with temperatures in the mid- 40s. we will let you know if we can see mix coming up your good morning. watch out for construction

i will also -- the mass pike westbound at the ted williams tunnel is closed for construction. all traffic is detour to the router one is sumner tunnel. we start with a developing story in everett. firefighters working through the night to put out the flames that he triple-decker home on floyd street. this started before 10:00 last night. the fire chief tells us that they had hidden pockets of fire in the attic a part of the rooftop collapsed. a woman living next door says that she is thankful that enable woke her up to evacuate. >> they got your quick. i'm glad that the city. i'm glad for my neighbors. i'm glad for everybody that came here because i do not know where we would be if it was not for them. >> there are no reports of any injuries and no word on a cause. this morning boston police are searching for this man in

-- at a bus stop it she fought back. >> the strangers came ready when they heard her screams. julie loncich x spoke with the girl's family. >> she is getting checked out. >> reporter: her stepfather says that she was steps from the bus stop on tuesday when she was grabbed from behind. >> she kicked him and try to defend herself and started screaming. somebody came to her rescue and he let her go and started running. >> reporter: police say that the man captured on surveillance video afterwards is a person of interest in the attempted kidnapping. >> i am upset that happened before 6:30 pm at the intersection of blue hill avenue and look for read -- street in roxbury as she was making her way to school. neighbors nearby said that they were woken up by an unmistakable sound. >> and i heard, like, this is screaming to me that made me jump up out of my bed. and i went to the window. when i went to the window, i could see a young girl talking

board. the street is back open this morning. there were more than 30 kids on the bus when the driver clipped an suv, hit a fire hydrant, and a telephone pole and a mailbox before crashing into the house. paramedics took the drivers and five elementary school students to the hospital with minor injuries. >> it was going really fast and bumpy and then we just heard something crack and then it started to smell like fire. and then we were just were screaming. >> the accident is under investigation. police are trying to figure out if the driver was screen that was speeding or had a medical condition. a boston man is facing animal cruelty charges at north station. this a cell phone video from a witness who said that he saw him punch and hit the housekeeper and then he lifted him completely off of the ground by salish but he was arraigned yesterday and the animal shelter is taking care of the dog who they are calling sarah. >> sarah is a beautiful young
