he knew one of the residents inside but she didn't know him and they say he had tucked away a loaded handgun. police say 23-year-old gannon leblanc was impersonating a law enforcement agent when he knocked at a home on lee terrace. he showed the residents an fbi wanted poster and asked something strange. >> he said can i use your bathroom? they thought that was suspicious. >> reportesu ties and duct tape in a backpack. and an unlicensed 38 caliber handgun. >> this guy had all the equipment of a modern-day police officer. >> reporter: when he was turned away, police caught up with him at a nearby bus stop after receiving a 911 call all dressed in black -- from a man all dressed in black from lincoln laboratories in

prosecutors will be able to use her own text messages against her. a judge ruled that michelle carter's cell phone was not illegally seized. carter is accused of convincing conrad roy to take his own life through text messages and calls. in the past 12 days, there have been three burglaries, all during the day. in each case, thieves stole jewelry and at least in one break free, -- break-in, the robb door. the gunman who was shot by police has died. investigators say this morning, two officers responded to the apartment for domestic violence, and that's when the man opened fire. one officer, a father of four has died. the other is recovering from surgery. police found the shooter and a woman dead inside the

off bombs in new york and new jersey made his first court appearance. ahmad khan rahami is facing federal terrorism charges. he was arraigned from a hospital bed whence -- when he was injured in a shootout with police. he is accused of setting off a bomb in manhattan that injured 31 people and another at a new jersey 5k. no one died in those attacks. interest has been growing in california for a movement to secede from the united states. a group called yes california is leading the charge after tuesday's election. #calexit is trending on social media. organizers say it makes better sense financially for california to leave the united states. >> we don't think it's the greatest coincidence in the world that california pays more into the system that gets, loses $15 billion a year and has the same highest taxes and can't afford to pay its schools properly. >> the group is pushing for a

ryan kath wbz news. the greater boston food bank just kicked off its campaign to get thanksgiving meals to people in need. politicians and community leaders lined up to pass out turkeys. this is the first truck but the 11th year the chain of giving has been run. the food bank hopes to distribute 9 million holiday meals this season. last week, a baby two toed sloth into the world. no word little one is healthy, bright, alert and cuddling with its mother at the zoo. by the way, sauce, i looked this up, -- sloths, i looked this up, they are pregnant for a year. >> while i am not jealous of that. it would be nice just to hang there. epipens are getting cheaper.
