together for 90 minutes. spike i very much look forward to dealing with the president in the future including counsel. >> reporter: president obama said he is focused right now on a peaceful transition of power. >> we now are going to do everything we can to help him six -- to help him succeed because if he succeeds, the country succeeds. probe trump visited the white house during the clinton and reagan administrations but this was his wife melania trump's first time. anti-trump demonstrators protested outside the white house and said the president- elect test to bridge a deep divide in the country. >> he does not represent our values, our diet -- our ideals or this country. we will not be silenced. we will hold him accountable. >> reporter: compound the vice president-elect, mike pence, met with leaders on capitol hill and got a good look at the inaugural platform being constructed. and talked about issues with

a witness came to help and the witness -- the suspect took off. he is described as 20s or 30s driving an older sedan. it's either an swr 5 w on the license plate. the girl is physically okay but shaken up. a violent carjacking ended with this crash in a cul-de-sac. police say christopher harding and his female passenger stabbed two people in connecticut and en police chased them from connecticut to massachusetts. police say the two suspects rammed three cruisers during that chase. they were arrested but in the end, no one was hurt. people and animals evacuated after several workers at the work line animal hospital became lightheaded. a source could be found so hazmat had to be called in.

say they felt better when they walked outside. they never did find a cause. a south shore contractor has been hit by vandals five times and he's convinced he is a target. his equipment is paying the price. jim smith has the story all new tonight at 6:00. >> quite a bit of money, in excess of $40,000-$50,000. >> reporter: contractor andrew schmit takes us on a tour of this site, now shut down because of vandalism. destruction of his big construction rakes. >> these are the left side. >> reporter: at least five pieces of heavy equipment were targeted, holes punched in radio orders, hydraulic lines damaged producing fluid leaks leaving the equipment out of commission. >> this is big stuff. this is someone that knew what they were doing. it wasn't kids throwing rocks at glass. it was specifically targeted and the vandals were inside the compartments going after the specific items. >> reporter: this is obviously

horns and roaring their engines. >> you all set? >> reporter: he doesn't know any of them but their kindness means everything. >> put your hands on the handlebars if you want. >> the best part is riding a motorcycle. >> reporter: police say the biracial child was targeted by hate crimes recently. first, a racial slur scratch on his mother's car and then another on a sawhorse thrown to their yard and a ir someone through fried chicken and watermelon at their car. one of their neighbors is in the manchester motorcycle club and he was horrified when he heard what happened.>> nothing has ever happened on our road like that. >> reporter: the club decided to let the family know they are not alone so tonight they made him an honorary club member. >> we just want to share something with the kids. >> reporter: they also gave him a helmet, a jacket and the ride of a lifetime.

50 degrees in boston, 55 degrees in worcester. temps won't drop to much more but the wind will increase out of the southwest and there is a sliver of mild are still in place. ottawa at 50 degrees. the cold stuff is around hudson bay. that are starts to move in tomorrow afternoon. you can see rain showers out ahead of that front. most of the rain will not reach the ground. we might see a sprinkle tomorrow as it moves through but that's about it. no significara expected. as for tonight, upper 30s to low 40s. it will be breezy, the wind increasing out of the southwest and tomorrow at 5 am, we are all in the 40s. four 9:30 am, in the 50s. we have veterans day parades tomorrow and observances around the area. the morning will be behind us. ask temperatures around noon and warmest toward southeastern massachusetts but the cold air is already starting to move in.

degrees at kickoff. not too much wind and we will have a full moon. technically full on monday morning but sunday night as this super mean rises, tons of moonlight is going to be out in the parking lot. 4:15 pm it comes above the horizon. this is also going to bring the king tides next week. those are your highest tides of the year and they are offset a little from the full moon. your highest tides are going and that will be about a foot higher than tides in july. those will be -- bring minor coastal flooding. no real rain chances until tuesday of next week. we're keeping an eye on the timeframe because our tides will be higher than average. an onshore flow could enhance coastal flooding. the best day next week is monday with high temps near 60 degrees and a chance of rain on tuesday. >> a good monday. thank you.

lovers. on monday, oyster farms will reopen after being shut down for 25 days. though we are doing the eagle first. >> the oyster story is great but this one is great. this is in orlando florida where you can see rescue workers surrounding a storm drain. a sickly there were two bald eagles on top of the storm drain. one of them was stuck the other bald eagle had its wings spread out, protecting the eagle that was stuck eagle has fallen down while the other flew away. >> the one that had the wings outstretched has taken off. the other eagle fell and they are trying to get it out. you can see the one eagle, kind of protectively spanning the drain and the other eagle from this vantage point, you can only see the head. they have been working on this for more than an hour. >> people on social media are
