the family's dream was coming true until recently when spectra energy announced plans for a natural gas pine line compressor station next door to chris' horse farm. >> i'm not sure if they think they can just come in and push us around to get what they want. >> reporter: the compressor stations are needed to move the pipeline. but this is the sound the station makes when they do a daily blowdown releasing chemicals into the air. >> we're all guinea pigs for these companies that are coming in for profit taking. >> reporter: other residents are concerned that leaking gas will pollute the drinking water. >> i can't stress enough that

clean water act. >> reporter: there's the daily jet engine noise. >> this will destroy the character of rehoboth. >> because there's little or no regulation, what the residents now want is for the governor or the state attorney general to step in and stop it. in rehoboth, i'm bill shields, wbz news. spectra energy has dozens of these facilities with few complaints. when they do only methane gas is released. tonight anger from those who are upset over donald trump's victory and another night of unrest. portland, oregon, is the epicenter. protesters damaged businesses as police threw smoke grenades. >> another fight broke out with a woman throwing laundry de-

>> and these are unusual sights for the initial days after a presidential election. >> i went back in the archives and i could only find one reported case of a sizable anti- obama demonstration. this was such an emotional campaign. it shouldn't be surprising that we see some of these protests. it poses an early test for the president-elect. and here was his response on twitter late last night. successful presidential election. now professional protesters, incited by the media are protesting, very unfair. he's obviously upset. >> upset and that's sort of a throwback tweet. that sounds like the trump of the campaign. >> very much so. and it's factually inaccurate. >> just listen to what the

of our folks that we've built relationships with black lives matter. and it was one of many groups in this event. and they made it clear they were not part of it. and they were trying to get the anarchist groups to stop. and they were not listening to them so a good number of those folks left the march. >> so much for the professional protesters claim. >> incitement of the media charge. >> the only clue we have about what that means is a tweet -- from a protest march in california. >> we can't just do rallies. we have to fight back. there'll be casualties, people have to die. impeach donald trump. >> all right.

investigating a complaint that one of its workers shouted racist remarks at a hispanic man from a work truck. the man who reported it and took these pictures said it happened at a gas station in cambridge. a white postal worker told a hispanic man -- cambridge police say this was not reported to them. >> trump will give an interview to 60 minutes this sunday. and this is the scene of the deadliest mass shooting in our nation's history. and orlando police have released chilling new video from inside the pulse nightclub. it was recorded on body cameras as police entered the building for the first time. >> right on your back, all right? >> you can see the lights inside the club still going as

police enter the scene. officers pull out their guns to make sure the area was clear. and you can hear the ringing of phones in the background. 49 people were killed inside the club and the gunman also died. this is a case that's captivated the nation. a young south carolina woman chained like a dog to a container by a man who says he's a serial killer. he's been telling he had a violent past and killed seven people. 48 hours sat down with his mother for the first interview since her son's arrest. >> he wasn't doing it for enjoyment. he was doing it because he was mad and hurt. >> you can watch more of this tomorrow night at 10:00 right here on wbz. a mess near government center is cleaned up tonight.

a small minnesota town evacuated after a train carrying potentially hazardous chemicals derailed this morning. look at that. it happened south of minneapolis. you can see the number of cars there scattered along the tracks. at least one of the derailed cars carried flammable liquid petroleum gas. a hazmat team is on-site. no one was injured but the evacuations were precautionary. the rescue of the two bald

started because the eagles were fighting. wildlife experts believe it was a territory fight. they were found tangled together ask one bird flew away on its own and the other fell into the storm drain and had to be rescued. the female had injuries on her neck and chest and a cracked beak and will be released in six weeks. and when the story first went on the air, this is looks like the eagle was protecting the other one. it was a dominance things. >> they locked talons. >> you know what's coming? winter season and you know the skiers are ready for it. >> there's going to be an event at killington this year? >> reporter: so we've got big events in the northeast. the alpine world championships. and people are starting to feel
