have that wind blowing, -- because we have that wind blowing. we don't have the temperature changes from some of the urban and suburban locations except up in keene that is a low number. with that wind blowing, we'll see what some of the gusts are. they're still running 20 to 25 miles an hour, so not nearly as bad as it had been earlier in the night when the wind was howling and, of course, yesterday it was really gusty and blowing those leaves around. looking up in canada, there's some high cloudiness up there. basically mof patches of low clouds in the outer cape and some of those high clouds will stream southeast. we'll start to see that this afternoon. so for today it's up to 49 degrees for a high this afternoon, that brisker wind. nice fall day tomorrow, up to 48 degrees with plenty of sunshine. the rest of my accuweather forecast coming right up. kerry. >> barry, thank you so much. this morning an interview you'll see only right here on wbz, president-elect donald trump one on one for the first time since winning the

to work, some groups around the country are still having trouble accepting the as a results of the election. demonstrators took to the streets in portland, oregon. the protests started peacefully until demonstrators refused orders to leave. early this morning there were some reports of vandalism. and in miami protesters stopped traffic on busy streets and highways. there were no reports of violence or arrests there, though. but here in boston, a much different scene. thousands of people fed up with the emotions that have run high in the last weeks of campaign season gather for a peace -- gathered for a peace rally on the common. 5:04. firefighters in lynn are keeping a close eye on a big brush fire that's been burning all night long. they tell us they do have it under control. it's in the lynnwood. no homes are in danger. the remote area and high winds, though, made it hard to fight. those winds continued overnight. it is the scene of the deadliest mass shooting in our country's history and now orlando police have released chilling new video from inside

it was recorded on body cameras as police entered the building for the first time. >> i'm right on your back, all right? >> you can see the lights inside the club still going as police enter the scene. officers pulled out their guns to make sure the area was clear. you can also hear the ringing of phones in the background as people tried to reach the victims. 49 people were killed at the club. the gunman also died. this morning we're learning drugs may have played a role in the death of infant in marlboro. it's a tragedy that also sent the baby's parents to the hospital. luisa molar has more. >>reporter: cell phone video shows a young woman being wheeled out of this marlboro home. a neighbor says moments earlier she saw a heart-wrenching scene. the 19-year-old mother clutching a bundle that looked like a baby. >> she kept on saying my baby, my baby, i don't know what happened, and the ambulance took the baby. >>reporter: the infant was

the neighbor also says she saw a man in handcuffs. >> he was walking out and the older woman went up to him and said what did you do to my daughter? what did you do to my daughter? he wasn't responding. he was just walking with the officer, and the female was sitting and just kind of with her head down. >>reporter: relatives say that 23-year-old man is the baby's father. both he and the teenaged mom taken to the hospital. when police arrived, unresponsive. first responders used narcan on them, suspecting a possible opiate overdose. >> i mean, we're devastated obviously. >>reporter: a cousin now grappling with what happened. >> this was an accident. you know, i don't think it was something intentional. >>reporter: the district attorney's office has not said if drugs were involved or whether charges are coming. in marlboro, louise a molar, wbz this morning. after this story, you may be in need of some extra good

welcome back. it is 5:12 right now. something to think about before you grab your morning coffee. this morning dunkin' donuts is being accused of misleading customers. ina splenda say dunkin' donuts is tricking you into thinking their yellow sugar packets of splenda. the sugar looks a lot like the artificial sweetener except it's really a generic brand from overseas. dunkin' donuts has not yet filed a response. and it is 5:12 right now as you rise and shine, as you head out this morning, you're going to say, oh, it's a little biting out there this morning. barry burbank here to tell us what's going on. it's called reality check, i think.

it's really cold. last weekend we were on and talking that today was going to be really cold. >> yes, i remember. >> but it's not going to be cold for very long. last weekend it looked like it was going to be very cold the whole weekend. in fact, it looked like we were even going to have snow showers today. >> oh, that's right, i remember that. >> and i was forecasting a high of 38. but as we got to the beginning of last week, those models just changed and said, yeah, it's going to be cold for a short period of time, and then it's out of here. >> that's it. maybe we shouldn't do a seven- day forecast, we sh safe. >> a lot of times the seven-day forecast can work out and sometimes it just doesn't work out. in looking away way ahead. we got the idea it's going to be cold, but it's not going to be cold for long. it's going to warm right up this afternoon. >> that sounds good to me, barry. >> let's go to the ms on the weather bug and see what's happening m medfield, the blake middle school, 33 in medway at the memorial school there.

degrees. so the temperatures almost the same everywhere. that wind is blowing, at times. it's rather light in most spots. as you can see, there's no big in temperatures for the most part. although there are isolated locations where the wind really drops off like the airport nup sanford, maine, it's 45 and out in keene it's 45 as well. but the usual locations where it gets really cold here in massachusetts from bedford to norwood to taunton and all those airports, it tends to be very cold. but there's no radiational cooling this morning. we just have wind blowing mixing the air up and keeping it mainly in the middle 30s just about everywhere. a couple spots like falmouth has temporarily dropped before, but that -- has dropped off, but that wind is pretty brisk out there. highs today about 48 to frain degrees in most spots. this is what the rest of the nation is looking like. last weekend at this time, we were showing you a lot of warm weather, but it's cooled off a bit as you can see. 50s across the north, 60s to

nice 80 degrees down in orlando today. and there's not much happening weather wise all over the united states. high pressure, again, is really in control, and between that high there and the strong low up in the maritimes, there's been quite a pressure gradeient, creating all that wind here in the last 24 hours or so. and it's still blowing this morning, but not going to be as fierce as it was yesterday when some gusts exceeded 40 miles per hour. so let's look at the time stamp here. we're going to go through the day with plenty of sunshine, we're going to go through middwi it's going to be nice and bright. and then this afternoon some high cloudiness will start to show up, and some of that will come down across here overnight, that's for sure. and it will be close to a full moon. a lot of that will be disappearing first thing tomorrow morning. so we'll see a little bit of high cloudiness tomorrow morning, and then it turns out sunny for the rest of the day and it's going to be fine for the pats game tomorrow night as the temperature goes up. we'll be around 44 degrees at the start of the game. so highs again today 48 to 49 degrees. as we look at the weather

changing. here's my seven-day accuweather forecast. it's going to be warming up with time. we got upper 40s for highs this afternoon after a cold start this morning near 32. still a busy breeze, 15 to a few gusts to 25 or 30, but certainly less than yesterday. a nice breeze tomorrow, 58, warming to 62 on monday. and then we get the rain on tuesday, periods of rain. and then it looks like back to some sunshine on wednesday, breezy on thursday. and then end of next week we have a shot of it warming right back up, 65 to 70 at the end of sound? >> you're kidding. >> would i kid snu >> no, you wouldn't. never. >> at least not intentionally. >> thanks, barry. 5:16 right now. accusations of racism this morning at one of the country's most elite schools. a freshman at the university of pennsylvania says she and dozens of her african-american classmates were added to a text group that used a racial slur in its title. and since then they have received constant hateful

president obama paid his respects on veterans day yesterday at the tomb of the unknowns at arlington national cemetery. he laid a wreath for those killed in combat and then bowed his head in silence. afterwards the outgoing president spoke to the crowd, calling for the country to come together following the election. and at foxborough, gillette stadium was all lit up in green in honor of our nation's veterans. green light a vet is a national campaign asking americans to change out a regular light bulb for a green light to let members of america's armed forces know we're thinking of them. well, facebook upset a lot of users after a glitch made it appear like they had died.

not over just yet. good morning, everybody. thanks so much for being with us. it is 5:30 on a saturday morning. you made it to the weekend, woo- hoo, i'm kerry connolly along with barry burbank. you know that's how people feel on a saturday morning, right, barry? >> i like how you say woo-hoo. say it again. good morning, kerry, good morning, everybody. here's what's going on. we've got 35 in boston and also as well. so the temperatures are pretty much the same. we call it isothermal, pretty much within a degree or so. there's no big change in temperature from place to place. the wind is still blowing out there and keeping the air mixed. it's not blowing certainly as hard as it was yesterday and part of last night when you might have heard it howling. but it is still running 10, to as high as 25 and a few gusts to 35, and that breeze will be with us all day long. it's at that speed, so it will be running 15 to 30 much of the day.

because, you know, this glass shatters like anything, you know. >>reporter: and the owner credits that safety glass for minimizing the damage out here, namely to the man sitting on the other side of this board. he walked away with just a few scrapes to his arms. reporting in danvers, nick giovanni, wbz this morning. boston police are investigating after a teenager was found shot on a bike path. it happened near river street in matapan late friday. the 16-year-old was taken to the hospital. he is expected to recover. so far there are says being criminally charged with sexual assault won't kill his show business career. that's according to cosby's lawyer. in a defamation lawsuit filed against cosby in massachusetts, cosby's attorney wants the court to seal documents discussing his compensation for performances and other personal financial information because the documents say cosby expects to be cleared of a criminal sexual assault charge and resume his career. the seven women suing cosby say

the disclosure. well, marshfield has confirmed its first case of rabies in roughly 15 years. two dogs encountered a skunk that turned out to be rabid. the dogs have been quarantined for 45 days and neither has shown any symptoms of rabies. the coast guard has suspended the search for three men who disappeared during a fishing trip on election day. the agency says it searched nearly 4,000 nautical miles but was unable to find any sign mario fiallo who were last seen leaving the sandwich marina on tuesday. well, loud, smelly and possibly dangerous, people living in rehoboth are making noise about a new plant planned for next door. the massive access northeast project involves expanding a natural gas pipeline into 22 cities and towns, building north america's biggist l&g

stations in weymouth and rehoboth. the people are fighting back. >>reporter: three years ago chris bought this land in rehoboth and turned it into a horse farm. >> this is june. >>reporter: the family's dream was coming true until recently when spectra energy announced plans for a natural gas pipeline compressor station right next door to chris' horse farm. >> i'm not sure if they think that you know, push us around to get what they want. >>reporter: according to opponents, the compressor stations are needed to move the natural gas through the pipeline. but this is the sound the station in burialville makes when they do a daily blowdown, releasing chemicals into the air. >> you know, we're all guinea pigs for these companies that are coming in for profit

moving right along now. let's go to see what's happening in chelsea this morning, at the burke elementary school it's 34. in canton at the kennedy school it's 33 this morning, and down in cohaset at the middle and high school it's also 33 degrees there on our wbz weather bug network. the temperature is almost the same everywhere. certainly was a lot different yesterday, though, before the real cool air startd to get established in the afternoon we made it to 60 in boston, that's not bad for november 11th. 64 down in taunton, that's pretty good. 50s off to the yesterday, that wind got really strong and the cold air started coming in. so the temperature change from yesterday morning to this morning has been -- is more than 10 degrees in much of southern new england, so it is cold out there, and it feels like the 20s with the wind still blowing. it's not howling like it was earlier last night, and certainly all day yesterday, but it is chilling the air, making it feel more like the 20s in most spots except a few 30s on cape cod. it's pretty much the same temperature everywhere unless you go up to the summit of

to the northwest where the wind is diminished back here. so it's cold in the northeast. but we'll have a nice recovery today, up to 48 to 49 degrees in most spots. with that sunshine. across the rest of the nation doing okay as well. mostly 50s across the north, 60s across the central states and we go to the south in the 70s along the gulf coast, nice 80 down in orlando. how would you like to be there? high pressure once again is pretty much governing the entire nation, and there is a system coming in on the west there, but that strong low in the maritimes and the strong high to the west that's been responsible for giving us all that wind, so follow the time stamp and you'll see it's going to be sunny just about all day long as it goes up to the mid- to finally some upper 40s here this afternoon, and then starts dropping off quickly for us as we get into darkness by late this afternoon. and we also -- i think we're going to see some high thin cloudiness starting to show up this afternoon. the models not really bringing it down too fast, but i think we're going to see some of that

colorful sunset late this afternoon. of course it occurs before 4:30 now. you all know that, how dark it gets. we got the cloudiness coming through tonight. it'll thin out tomorrow morning. we may have a little bit left over, and then it all disappears and tomorrow will be a nice, sunny day as it goes to 55 to about 58 degrees. should be a pretty nice day indeed. how about the pats tomorrow night down in foxborough? looks like around 44, on the chilly side, but the wind won't be too bad out there. it'll be blowing at times, but certainly dropping during the and here's your forecast for the next seven days. up to about 58 for tomorrow, 62 on monday. then tuesday it goes to 58 with the periods of rain around here, so it will be kind of a wet day. and then on wednesday it's a little cooler, partly cloudy, 56. and then we may warm up. by the end of the week, maybe 67 on friday, maybe 68 next saturday. so that sounds pretty good to me as we get deeper into
