were some reports of vandalism. in miami protesters stopped traffic on busy highways. here in boston a much different story thousands of people fed up with the emotions of that run high in the last weeks of the long campaign season gathered for a peace rally on the commons. other news fire crews are keeping a close eye on a big brush fire that's been burning all night long. they tell us they do have it in control. no homes are in danger. the remote area and high hard to fight. those winds continued overnight. and it is the scene of the deadliest mass shooting in our country's history and now orlando police have released video from inside the pulse nightclub. it was recorded on body cameras as police entered the building for the first time. >> you can see the lights inside the club still going as police entered the scene. officers pulled out their guns to make sure that the

hear the ringing of phones in the background as people tried to reach the victims. 49 people were killed at the club, the gunman also died. this morning we're learning that drugs may have played a role in the death of an infant. it is a tragedy that also sent the baby's parents to the hospital. . >> reporter: a young woman being wheeled out of this home. a neighbor says moments earlier she saw a heart a bundle that looked like a baby. >> she kept saying my baby, my baby, i don't know what happened, and the ambulance took the baby. >> reporter: the infant was pronounced dead at the hospital, the neighbor also says she saw a man in handcuffs. >> he was walking out and the older woman went up to him and said what did you do to my daughter, he wasn't responding. he was just walking with the officer. and the

and just kind of with her head down. >> reporter: relatives say that 23-year old man is the baby's father, both he and the teenage mom taken to the hospital. when police arrived they were unresponsive. first responders use narcan on them suspecting a possible overdose a cousin now grappling with what happened. >> i guess it was an accident, you know, i don't think it was something intentional. >> reporter: the district if drugs were involved or charges coming. . >> after a story like that if you're in need of extra goodwill you can find it in an unexpected place. messages of hope are being written inside the t station. after a weeks of emotions it's been therapeutic for those writing and reading them. >> reporter: the lower levels

folks there yesterday. we were shooting our special there. so weather special it's going to be on december 10th, by the way. where are we going? >> let's do the w. 3 high schools here, the first one wakefield where it's 33, and the king phillip regional high school is 31. so pretty much the same temperature in most locations, but it feels like the 20s in many areas this morning as blow and not nearly as vicious as it was earlier in the night and certainly most of yesterday but it's feeling pretty chilly out there with these 30s and feeling more like the 20s. so much of the nation in the northeast any way it's cold this morning. not -- hey, hi everybody up there. how's it doing up there in baker lake. 19 this morning, not as bad as last weekend we were saying hi to the folks up there 5 degrees last weekend at this time. the high today in boston should be

nice out there. just below average for this time of year. the rest of the nation doing well in the 50s across the north, 60s the central part of the nation and 70s near the gulf coast. 79 in los angeles. high pressure is governing the . just this cold air coming out of canada for now. last weekend we talked about this cold air coming down but not going to be nearly aspen traiting as what we thought last weekend the models saying really a deep plunge of cold ear and going to be with us all weekend. well, i've got the cold air but the jet stream is changing around quickly and it's just going to escort the cold air out fast. so we only get a blow out of this last night and first thing this morning. so watch the time stamp as we go up through the 40s today. mid to upper 40s for highs. 47 to 49 this afternoon.

some of the streamers of high clouds already in place: we might have a colorful sunset. the clouds deeness thickens up and dims the almost full moon. the super moon we'll be seeing that and any of this high cloudiness tomorrow morning will thin out and disappear. a nice sunny sunday and the temperatures respond and go up to about 58 for a high tomorrow afternoon and then start falling falling back to about 44 down at the stadium as the pats take on the seahawks for that 8:30 kick off, about 44, temperatures dropping a little bit after that. and then it looks like we'll have high temperatures on monday, 62. then we get some rain on tuesday, periods of rain and just a remote risk of a shower wednesday 56, then it warms up the end of the week we may be right back up to 65 to 70.

well, it is 6:15 right now. very few high school students were eligible to vote in this election but they are seeing the impact in their classrooms, cafeterias and hallways. that is video from the royal oak middle school in michigan where a student captured classmates chanting build that wall. someone put whites only in a high school bathroom. there were reports someone h >> the fact that so many of our students feel unsafe right now, that's a big deal. >> and it doesn't stop there. in pennsylvania 2 high school students were suspended for marching through the halls yelling white power. accusations of racism this morning, a freshman at the university of pennsylvania says she and dozens of her african american classmates were added to a text group that used a

. it is 6:25 this weekend a 5th grade football team will put its incredible season line. the junior raiders football team is 10-0, not only are they undefeated they've outscored their opponents 312 to 0. tomorrow they'll compete in the state semifinals. if they win there, they play for the state championship, so we're rooting you on, guys. a restaurant is boarded up this morning and from this video it's not hard to see why.

morning. but it's going to warm up. >> it's pretty cold out there. here we are. hi. . it's 35 degrees in boston right now. we've got 34 in some of the locations there's really not much of a difference from temperature from place to place. just a couple of pockets where the wind as temporarily dropped off. so we've got more cooling starting to set in. it is a cold morning out there and it does feel like the 20s in most spots and the wind much of cape cod and a few other places as well it spikes up a little bit but a lot of places not nearly as much wind just a bit of a breeze blowing. a few passes of low clouds out over the ocean. we can see some of those on cape cod. this is high cloudiness which is going to start streaming southeastward and so we'll see those clouds before we get to sunset today.

it happened near river story late friday. the 16-year old was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. so far there are no arrests. well big cosby says being criminally charged with sexual assault will not kill his show business career that's according to his lawyer. in a deaf nation lawsuit filed against him in massachusetts cosby's attorney wants the court to seal documents discussing cosby's compensation and other personal financial information because the documents say cosby expects to be cleared of a criminal sexual assault charge and resume his career. the 7 women suing him say he has no future in show business and won't be hurt by the disclosure. the first case of ray bees in roughly 2 years. 2 dogs encountered a skunk.

the coast guard has suspended the search for 3 men who disappeared during a fishing trip on election day. the agency says it searched nearly 4,000 miles but was unable to find any sign of the 3 who were last seen leaving the sandwich marina on tuesday. well, loud smelly and dangerous, people are making nashua about a new plant planned for next door. the massive access northeast involves expanding a natural gas pipeline into 22 cities and towns, building north america's biggest l and g facility. as bill shields tells us the people are fighting back. . >> built the barn. >> reporter: 3 years ago chris bought this land and turned it into a horse farm. the family's

and these are the temperatures across the northeast colder places off to the north where the wind has diminished. looking for high temperatures 48 to 49, so a nice recovery, there will be a breeze blowing much of the day not nearly as strong as it was yesterday running 15 to 25 miles an hour. at times it may drop down to 10 or less. so it will feel for comfortable. yesterday morning felt pretty nice it got up to 60 just before noo 60 across the central part of the united states east to west. we've got 50s across the north, 60s across the central. 70s across the gulf coast and a lovely 80 today in orlando. high pressure governing most of the nation. just some rain on the west coast and of course the cold air that's coming out of canada right now. we'll see sunshine all day long, patches of low clouds just off the coast from cape cod this morning. you

yesterday even though it maybe didn't feel like it by noontime because the winds started howling. look at yesterday's high it was 60 in boston. that's pretty nice about 7 above the average for this date. today it's going to be blow average because we're not going to get anywhere close to 60. just hardly get up to 50, mostly in the upper 40s for high temperatures today. looking at the 24-hour temperature change from this time yesterday morning to this morning running 10 t 25 degrees lower than it was. and the wind continues to below but it has simmered down from what it was doing early last night and much of yesterday. the winds making it feel like the 20s right now. not all that strong but we've got temperatures mostly in the 30s a couple of pockets where the wind has dropped off to calm to allow a little bit of cooling, 40s and 30s all the way up into canada

almost a heat wave after the 5 degrees they had at this time last weekend. highs today in the upper 40s and a breeze which will be blowing much of the day and once in a while the wind gusts to 25 or so. across the 50s across the north, 60s central states 70 gulf coast and down in florida will be nicer than that around 80 or so. high pressure is really in control sprawled out west to east across the nation controlling things and also helping to pull down some cold air at least for a now. last weekend we thought the cold air would last all weekend and forecasted we could add snow showers today but the cold air came down everything is on the move the jet stream is changing and not going to allow the cold air to lock in. instead the mild air is going to start to move in this afternoon so a much better afternoon even though some wind out there and quite a bit of sunshine later this afternoon. i think some of the streamers of higher clouds
