7:00. police are working to identify a suspect in a deadly hit-and-run in taunton. a car hit a man in a crosswalk at the intersection of broadway and washington thursday. the man died friday night of his injuries. police found the car a gray toyota that they think hit him but are working to determine who was driving at the time. a murder mystery in easton. a 35-year-old man was found has died and police are trying to figure out who killed him and why. jim smith has the latest this morning. >> reporter: melanie and gary take their dog for a nightly walk in easton going by a popular wooded trail where a man was found shot last tuesday. now the man has died. >>the news is shocking. never in this neighborhood but here it is now in this neighborhood. >> reporter: on tuesday state and local police were out in

daniel smith of florida but originally from easton was found shot in the head only about 25 yards off the road. at the time police reported the discovery made by some kids who were riding their bikes. >>who kids were riding their bicycles and found this gentleman. they called their mother who came down to the scene, confirmed that there was a person here, and then called us. >> reporter: smith initially police are treating the death as suspicious. >>i feel really bad for the boys that found the man. that has to be really hard for them. >>it was a day off from school, election day, and they were out riding their bikes as the kids in this town do. >> reporter: what a horrible discovery. >>i can't even imagine. >> reporter: state and local police are looking for the public's help. they're

plates. they believe the vehicle might be possibly connected to this case. in easton, jim smith wbz news. state police are looking for a suspect this morning who shot a 16-year-old on a bike path after river street. he is expected to recover. detectives are interviewing witnesses now. two u mass. dartmouth students in the hospital after a car accident yesterday. both students said condition. dartmouth police have not filed any charges at this point. a dozen people are now looking for a place to live after a house fire in methuen. police got everyone out. several people were treated for minor injuries. investigators still haven't pinpointed a cause for the fire. fen way park being used in november but not for a baseball

it's 41. north of boston and over, 39. to the south coast where it's 38 this morning. these were the highs yesterday, upper 40s, 48s, a couple of 49s there, cooler south of the worcester airport. ocean temperature still 54 degrees. this is how much milder this morning than yesterday. it's running about 8 to 10 degrees higher in many spots than it was at this time yesterday. it felt nicer this mornin numbers, 45 in boston, a few keeler pockets in plymouth, 38, and a couple of the airports the usual cold spots. look what happened up here. we're going to say to the folks up in baker lake, bundle up, you folks, keep putting the blankets on it's 2 below zero this morning in baker lake. oh my goodness. it's not going to be pretty up there today for sure. it's going to be really cold.

as the sun comes out it'll warm up to the upper 50s. there'll be 50s is -- 50s and 60s across a good chunk of the country. just like we showed you yesterday, high pressure has sprawled across the nation and it's pumping wilder -- milder air away. a lot of the cloudiness came down from canada. we still place it's still high around 20,000 feet in boston and that certainly shut out the moonlight last night, but a lot of this thinned out this morning and by mid to late morning it's almost all disappeared from the sky and the sky turns blue and sunny. by late this morning it'll be sunny. overnight it's all clear, and tomorrow we have mostly clear most of the day.

some high, thin clouds may start to show up tomorrow afternoon. upper 30s for highs today and then -- upper 50s for highs today. it should be great for the game tonight. west-southwest breeze will drop off. 42 for a low in boston to lows in the 30s. the big supermoon is coming up tonight. we'll have more to say about that as the morning along. it's a little bit milder tomorrow, 62 and then rain and some minor coastal flooding. i wouldn't be surprised if there's a coastal flood watch tuesday because of the supermoon tides and in edition the northeast wind will be coming onshore enhancing it a little bit. high tide is late in the morning and it's the highest tide of the supermoon cycle and then after that it's a damp start wednesday and cool the second half of the

higher than they were yesterday. it's mild out there. we've got 40s and a few 30s showing up. we've got a lot of cloud cover. it radiated out a bit down at norwood, taunton. it looks like the cloud cover is going to be thinning this morning and turn out to be a nice, sunny day. not bright sunshine from the get-go but eventually we will get the bright sunshine and we'll be off to the races for a beautiful afternoon as it goes up to about , a couple of spots may briefly touch 60. as much of the northern half of the nation at least in the 60s today. down to the south it's warmer close to the gulf coast. high pressure is dominating, 55 down in atlanta for a high because it's raining down there and that area of rain which is just beginning to form is going to be our rain maker here for tuesday. before that happens we've got the mild air coming over the top of the high
