7:00. police are working to identify a suspect in a new deadly hit-and-run in taunton. a car hit a man riding his bike in a crosswalk at the intersection of broadway and washington thursday. the man was hospitalized and died friday night of his injuries. police found the car, a 2010 gray toyota that they think hit him but are working to determine who was driving at the time. a murder mystery in easton. a 35-year-old man was found in the woods has died. police are trying to figure out who killed him and why. jim smith has the latest this morning. >> reporter: melanie and gary take their dog for a nightly walk in easton going by a popular wooded trail where a man was found shot last tuesday. now the man has died. >>the news is shocking. here it is now in this neighborhood, so you're kind of surprised to hear it. >> reporter: on tuesday police were out in force after

easton was found shot in the head only about 25 yards off the road. at the time police reported the discovery was made by some kids riding bikes. >>two 13-year-old boys were riding their bicycles down here. they went into the woods and found this gentleman. they called their mother who came down to the scene, confirmed there was a person here, and then called us. >> reporter: smith initially survived but died friday at the death as suspicious leaving the neighborhood uneasy. >>i feel really bad for the boys that found the man. that has to be really hard for them. >>it was a day off from school, election day, and they were out riding their bikes, as the kids in this town do. >> reporter: what a horrible discovery. >>i can't even imagine. >> reporter: state and local police are looking for the public's help specifically

sedan with florida license plate. they believe the vehicle might be connected to this case. in easton, jim smith, wbz news. state police are looking for a suspect this morning who shot a 16-year-old in mattapan. the teen was on a bike path off river street. he is expected to recover. two u mass. dartmouth students are in the hospital after a car accident saturday. a camry slammed into a utility poll near arcadia avenue. both stable condition. no charges have been filed at this point. a dozen people now looking fora place to live after a fire in methuen. firefighters were summoned to pleasant street saturday morning and found flames coming from the roof and windows. several people were treated for minor injuries. investigators still haven't pinpointed a cause. fenway park is being used in november but not for a baseball game. we'll explain why hundreds were running around

the gunman. someone opened fire on aims street yesterday evening near the franklin field public complex. they heard more than a dozen shots. both victims are men in their 20s who's now the president elect is turning to social media to restore order. mr. trump tweeted st will be a time in all of americans unite and win, win, win. the brushfire burned itself out as firefighters expected it would. the sky in the lin woods. the old wolf pits off ox pasture road. fortunately the fire was not near any homes but firefighters stayed on the scene all morning yesterday to keep tabs on it. a murder mystery in easton a 35-

with a gunshot wound has died and now police are trying to figure out who killed him and why. wbz jim smith has the latest this morning. >> melanie and gary take their dog for a nightly walk in easton going by a popular wooded trail where a man was found shot last tuesday. now the man has died. >> it's a shock never in this neighborhood and this kind of here. >> state and local police were out in force after 35-year-old daniel smith of florida but originally from easton was found shot in the head only about 25-yards on the road. >> two 13-year-old boys riding the bicycle and went into the woods and found this gentleman.

>> police treating the death as suspicious leaving the neighborhood uneasy. >> i feel really bad for the boys that found the man. that has to be really hard for them. it was election day riding their bikes as the kids in this town do. >> what a horrible discovery. >> yeah i can't even imagine. >> state and local police are looking for red 2016 mazda 3 sedan with florida license plates. they believe that vehicle might be possiblily connected to this case. in easton, jim smith, wbz news. >> a daring rescue caught on camera in boston harbor. the coast guard used a helicopter to rescue two people from a sail boat that ran aground. originally the coast guard was going to wait for high tide to free that boat but the situation became more urgent when the winds kicked up.

change for which trump was the vehicle? how much of it was hilary clinton blowing it joanne? >> i think all of the above. this comes to a change election and she was not the change candidate and were it someone other than donald trump it would have an easier path to victory for the republicans. i think she could never make the message and argument that she was not o washington establishment and the main point of the election, the main point of this election was people are so disillusions and felt so disenfranchised from the establishment. >> she didn't even try. she latched herself to president obama and ran as a continuation of the obama administration and was just constantly on stage with establishment figures. it was like something out of 20 years ago. charlie you were down with that

way at all, the democratic party since obama was sworn in as president has been devastated they lost the house, they lost the senate, they lost the governorships, they lost the attorney general's office and devastated all across the country and the clinton people couldn't see that so pushing in the way and running their own campaign with all of the resources and talent and everything they had they needed a referendum on obama >> and then for donald trump trying to run against his rhetoric and everything he did and said made him even more the ultimate outsider and i think people were looking for an outsider so he reenforced it with every perceived miss step. >> if anything a first time candidate i can't tell you how hard it is to run because of

candidates before when you have never done it before. and then to sort of break the mold and go after states like pennsylvania, wisconsin and win them was just an amazing thing. >> so now we've seen protests around the country than you normally see although this is not the election followed by protests of different types. and the insighted by the media are unfair. later on he put out one that said somebody sure put on out a tweet on his account that it's a proud expression of democracy, right on kids you go. what do you make of the protests and his initial response? >> well this goes back again to his rhetoric and as much as his rhetoric made him the outsider

of people and they were being attacked for being minorities, for being muslim, for being women. it was hurtful rhetoric and that's what the protests are in reaction to. and one great thing about this country is we are allowed to protest. the other great thing about this country is there's a peaceful transition of power. >> most americans unless you are a radical the guy is not even in office so give him a chance. the portland police with situations i think it helps trump. >> we've got to take a break but briefly i wanted to ask you that tweet that he put out was a campaign tweet in tone. that's the trump from the campaign. incited by the media, professional protestors, is he going to have to transition away from that or would that be a mistake? should he continue to maintain the campaign style he has? >> i think everybody wants him

now. he was great, everything went well when he visited the white house and everything seemed to go well. that's what the american people want. they want that reassurance. >> super briefly. >> the one thing he hasn't said. he said all of the right things. one thing he hasn't said is cut out anything out there in mind harassing anybody attacking any minority and muslim cut it out. >> and should the democrats say that too st shields, stop looting stores and setting things on fire. >> well sure and they have been. >> i think the democrats should be saying the same things to their supporters. >> can't we all just get along. we'll take a break and continue our conversation about the election and after math so

welcome back talking about the election of course with charlie manning and they had just come out with a charter school question, question two showing a dead heat one of the best around but it was a blow out for the opponents of lifting the charter school cap. what do you make of that. >> i think the anti people made a very successful argument this is harmful to public schools. the urinary is the people they were speaking to, the irony

state charter schools were never a threat to any schools in the suburbs. what they really were doing was changing the dynamic in the urban pool system. >> will this open the door with the help from the public sector union allies is this opening the door for further activism by the unions for instance on raising the income tax in two years. >> that's going to be a big quon before and it's always easier to win on no especially if you can confuse the voters. i can't tell you how many smart people who really hadn't looked into it were just repeating the teacher union talking points to me saying no i'm voting no on it and you explain it to them saying that changes my vote. it's just a shame. i don't think they did a good job of getting their message out. they had to put it on the line

sunshine breaking out there and that will be the trend through the morning. it's really going to be nice and a lovely afternoon with sunshine and 46 out there right now. and we are looking at temperatures which across the region are all in the 40s for the most part. even a 51 at the vineyard. a couple of isolated places in the 30s to 23 in mount washington. it was pretty chilly in the midwest colder down there in the tennessee and ohio valleys than it was in new england t pressure and made it rather nippy with readings into the 20s. the afternoon highs here today upper 50s maybe a couple spots briefly touching 50. a lot of 60s across the country for afternoon high temperatures. a nice recovery in these areas so cold along the gulf coast 70 to 75. that's where we'll find the warmest weather. atlanta at 54 there and i'll

clockwise fashion and mild air pumping in new openingland. that's going to be disappearing shortly and the sunshine for the afternoon is going to be nice indeed. raining in atlanta. a little bit of rain falling there so going to be cool there. here's the plume of rain which is just the beginning of the system effecting us on tuesday as it comes up the coast. the system is going to get a shot of energy and start developing more and because of that it becomes more concerning for the high tides on tuesday. as you go through the afternoon we see all of the 50s upper 50s all of the sunshine and cloud cover lingering in some spots we disappear and start falling into the 40s this evening and late night lows into the lower 40s in boston and 30s in low lying spots in the valleys lower 30s and looking ahead tomorrow temperatures going up higher into the lower 60s. a few streamers of high clouds coming up in the afternoon but

until first thing tuesday morning followed by some rain. showers coming up during the morning and then we get into periods of some what heavier rain into the afternoon and early evening hours on tuesday as that system churns up into south eastern massachusetts makes it cool in central mass on tuesday and warmer on the warmer side down over the cape. but no rain tonight. a perfectly clear sky over jillth stadium as the pats take on the seahawks 46 at kick off. be able to see that big moon tonight tonight a lot said about that but the main thing is kicking up the tides that are higher than the scheduled height which is big 12.5 feet at 11: 08 on tuesday morning because of the fact of the storm coming up the coast generating on shore flow which will enhance the tide a bit. concerned of wide spread minor flooding and pockets of moderate flooding on tuesday when you get that rain heaviest late morning into the afternoon
