dark. there's a look at live doppler radar. things are starting to quiet down. heading to connecticut and rhode island, there's heavy and steady rainfall from quincy at the expressway into boston, north shore, up around the -- parkway seeing heavy rain. temperatures will hold in the 40s and low 50s. and the showers will end after midnight. we'll see lingering clouds, and although this will help it's not going to take us out of the drought. back to etch for and a half rainfall deficit. today's rain is not getting up to an inch and a half. do we have any more rain in the forecast? we'll take a look at the extended coming up in a little bit. the car windshield smashed and tonight a winthrop family wants to know, were they targeted. the family is interracial and they think the vandals saw the

protective post. no passengers were on board and no one was heard. the train's crew never reported the accident. the crew members are now on leave. fire investigators in dartmouth are trying to figure out what started this fire that destroyed a home under construction. neighbors called firefighters around 2:00 this morning when they saw the flames coming from the home on the dead end street. and all that remains now is the foundation. officials say there was no power to family members of the sandy hook school shooting victims want their lawsuit reinstated. they want the connecticut supreme court to reconsider their suit against remmington arms. adam lanza used that rifle. >> i'm bringing this appeal for

rain. of course, with the commutes it's not so much fun to navigate. the real plume of tropical moisture is just to the east. and we're missing out on a big time drenching of rain. we'll take it. decent totals so far. we'll get updated figures as we look to the six hour. providence got over an inch of rain today. here's a look at the timing as the showers continue to work northward. by 10:00 we're just about done. lingering showers in little bit of mist, a lot of clouds, and temperatures may rise a little bit in some towns, they'll stay in the 40s to 50s. and in southeastern massachusetts jumping up to 60 degrees. a milder feel is expected. another high tide cycle. and it won't be as high as this morning. between 10:00 and 2:00, minor pockets of coastal flooding from the south shore all the way up to the maine coastline.

clouds again. a mild start and a mild day by mid-november standards. we'll get sunshine going as we head to midday. and a mix of sun and clouds as we look into the afternoon. not full on sun out there all day but still warm temperatures and not a bad one to be outdoors. a high of 60 in boston. lawrence, 59 degrees. taunton hitting 60. and more high tides tomorrow. they'll be higher than what we have tonight. and tomorrow's high tide cycle and hampton to boston and southeastern mass. minor coastal flooding would be the expectation. as for the rest of the week, thursday and friday looking great. bright sunshine and sunny on friday. and near 60 inland and cooler at the coast. and windier, especially cape cod. the winds out of the minority. that's going to add an edge to the air. caps our highs in the 50s. and a dry day.

and manchester. and some torrential rainfall heading to peterborough. we're getting a good soaking of rain. be cautious over the next couple of hours. peter in cambridge a half inch. and same for larry in centerville. rising temperatures mentioned in southeastern mass around 60 for a time this evening. and we won't with cooling off the rain. towards 10:00 the last of the showers should be moving through southern new hampshire and we'll taper off to light stuff and mist. and the clouds will hold on. all told a pretty good amount of rainfall and a chance for the minor flooding with the high tide cycle tonight between 10:00 and 2:00 a.m. a warm forecast coming up in a few. the wet weather having an impact on the evening commute.
