again. also breaking tonight, the oklahoma city airport is shut down after a deadly shooting. we want to get to ryan kath with the details on this. >> police are confirming the victim is a 52-year-old employee of southwest airlines. the search for the suspect has kept the will rogers airport on lockdown for three hours. authorities have not said whether the victim and the shooter knew each other. tactical teams are doing a car being told to shelter in place. and passengers who have boarded planes are staying put. all flights have been suspended until 9 p.m. our time. the suspect remains at large. and the police are working on a plan to allow passengers to safely leave the airport. ryan kath, wbz news. a woman in her 70s trapped for hours after crashing her

you can see the top of the car completely crushed. and in happened at 10:00 last night. and rescuers didn't arrive until early this morning. and they were surprised by what they found inside. bill shields is live with the incredible survival story. >> reporter: she's 70 years old. and when you think about that. that's incredible. and when paramedics and firefighters at epping got to her, she'd been in the car last >> according to the patient, the wheel crossed the soft shoulder and pulls the vehicle in. >> inside the car, 70-year-old -- her volkswagen left the road and went into the woods at 10:00 last night. >> she went 75 feet and rolled the vehicle over. >> that way nobody could see her. >> the car landed on the

she managed to unlock the seat belt and climb into the backseat where she had a blanket. and then she waited for sunup so someone could see the car. >> she couldn't find her cell phone and knew she had to do something. she crawled into the backseat. she had a bunch of clothes and put the those on to keep her warm. >> she's hospitalized. no serious injuries. reporting ve i'm bill shields, wbz news. the search is on tonight for a taxi driver who crashed and caused a chain reaction crash that involved a police cruiser. the taxi was speeding and ran a light and clipped a car. the car spun around and hit the state police cruiser. the cruiser hit a parked car. nobody seriously hurt in this. but the taxi, white with grn

>> this man is accused of approaching a young boy on brook road, scaring that young boy. >> reporter: right now police are still unsure what the suspicious man was up to when he approached the young boy. neighbors are thankful and proud of how the young boy responded. they want to make sure all of the children in the neighborhood are safe and that this doesn't happen again. >> it's scary, people are after our children. >> neighbors in the quiet tranquil neighborhood on brook road in westin are troubled to hear that a 10-year-old boy was approached by a suspicious man over the weekend. >> he was afraid and screamed and ran home. >> here's a sketch of the man police are looking for and are asking for the public's help in identifying him. westin police say the boy told them on sunday he was walking down the road in the afternoon

turned around in the driveway next to him. the man sped up. stopped the car and approached him. the boy screamed and ran and then the man drove off. >> i feel really poor for him because it's too young. >> throughout the day, westin police patrolled the neighborhood and late this afternoon, police returned to the home. folks say it's a bit unsettling. >> this community and this neighborhood usually is safe. >> right now police say it's unclear what the man wanted or his intentions which is why neighbors are being extra cautious with their own children. >> we have a grandchild that's his age and their friends and they've been playing out front where i can see. >> now anyone with information in regards to this incident or they can help i.d. the man in the sketch, they are asked to contact westin police.

this in. classes canceled at the bruce school in lawrence. yesterday a fire ripped through a second floor classroom. 600 students and teachers had to be evacuated. the superintendent says they will have information very soon on when and how classes will be able to resume. a year ago, 16 high powered weapons were taken from the worcester armory. and five of these guns still missing. a former army reservist is charged with the robbery. the fbi is offering a $15,000 reward to anyone who has information about the missing guns. newton's first medical marijuana dispensary opened today. and the woman who is running garden remedies is a doctor and breast cancer survivor. she had real doubts about marijuana but after extensive research she was convinced it

thank you. we're under a storm watch weather alert because of the king tides. >> they threatened to flood the coastline. and i know you got out there to take a closer look. >> a tour of boston harbor. and now it's monitoring the impacts of the water. these tides are only a few inches higher than a typical high tide but they bring localized flooding. and they can offer us a glimpse rise continues. typical high tides should look like this in 10 to 20 or 30 years. and we did tour the tides along the shoreline this morning. >> you've got king tied and you add storm surge to that. we're talking a completely different and much more major phenomenon. and that's what people really need to be thinking about. we're not always going to have

concerning. >> this gives us a look at what the tide can be even without weather. and then you think about the surge on top of it. and in boston harbor, they don't see a lot of wave action. but there's nothing to stop sea level rise. we've seen a foot over the last 100 years and that's expected to continue. and it's causes a lot of flooding situations we don't have a storm. it sees more of an impact from coastal flooding. and tonight we coastal flood advisories for main coast, the seacoast, and right on down to the south shore. minor coastal flooding is expected. and then tomorrow, high tide cycle is around noon. and should be lower than today. the water will be running high. and the same idea, minor coastal flooding in the most vulnerable areas. we have heavier downpours

down around the south coast and around cape cod. and steadier heavier rainfall is starting to work across the south shore, and over route 3. duxbury included. and the heaviest is moving to marble head, beverly, manchester, catching up on lost time. and heavier rainfall all the way to manchester and across southern new hampshire. it's moving northward and when it's raining, it heavily. and it's dark. and it will be a slow go so be cautious. rain totals moving up. worcester over an inch and fitchburg shy of an inch. and we're running a rainfall deficit and this helps out. boston's rain deficit more than an inch and a half. so we gave back our gains from october. the showers ending in a couple of hours, and temperatures stay mild. upper 40s to low 50s and the

and tomorrow we start with a murky morning and not very cold. and then we start to work in a little sun. partial sunshine expected by midday and then a mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon. and temperatures around 60. so a really pleasant day develops. high near 60 in boston, 59 in norwood. and manchester around 57 for our wednesday. quiet weather for thursday and friday and a lot of sunshine. and we're well into the 50s on thursday. beautiful day, friday looks nice as well. it the wind will be out of the minority on friday adding an image to it. saturday looks like a dry start. we do have the cooler air. and monday we could see snow flurries and snow showers, it's a sign of the times, can't believe that it's thanksgiving

it wasn't a factor. he ended up needing surgery. he broke his left forearm blocking on an extra point in 2012. later it got infected and ended up needing four surgeries. he had back surgery in june 2013. he didn't start the season until mid-october. and in december, the right knee was shredded when rd low. and last november looked like he had a series right knee injury again after this play in denver. he needed to be carted off but only missed a week. let's hope that's the case this time as well. gronk had to cancel his media event today promoting the madden video game. let's hope he's not the latest victim of the madden curse. many of the players who

we'll have a preview friday night at 7:00. and then sunday morning with patriots game day. the 5th quarter post game show on my tv 38. the celtics had a light workout. back home after the one light loss to the pelicans. missed his 7th straight game from the concussion. felt good with my workouts. it's just to play i'm just not there yet. >> we need him. we want him back and hopefully, he'll be back sooner rather than later. can't mess with the brain. can't mess with the head. if he's not feeling like himself then he has to wait until he is.
