police. we do not note person's condition at this time or whether any charges have been filed. we are working on getting more information for you, but, again, police say the public is not at risk. reporting live from boston, anna meiler, wbz this morning. police in newton are looking for a robbery suspect. police say a hispanic mail held up the gulf station on beacon street around 9 last night. he got away with some cash but don't know exactly how much. uber accused of hiking prices and gouging stranded commuters after a fire on mbta. some claim the app was charging nearly $100 for a 15-minute ride. nicole jacobs is live this morning with the company's response. >> reporter: kate, i can tell you just as airlines and hotels, prices with vary based on the demand but what was happening last night commuters say was overboard. when it comes to the t, a delay here and there is to be

nicole jacobs, wbz this morning. janitors at harvard reach a tentative agreement just an hour after their contract expired. they had threatened to go on strike. under the new deal they will earn a 12 1/2% pay raise over four years. by the end of the contract they'll be making just over $24 an hour. it still has to be approved by the union members. a mother is accused of being high on drugs while dropping off her daughter staff at the school told police that the mother was mumbling incoherently monday morning. the department of children and families is investigating. police in quincy need help identifying the man on this scooter. investigators say he broke into a mosque monday and stole money. he's also a suspect in a series of break-ins along quincy avenue. if you recognize him you're asked to call police. a driver trapped if her car

the road. this morning we're here from the firefighter who rescued her. >> reporter: chris, the new hampshire woman is recovering after she was trapped in her car for roughly ten hours. first responders say janice capcar's folks wagon geared off route 27 monday night and landed behind a row of trees 75 feet from the road. the woman couldn't get out. >>she was pretty resourceful. she had worn her safety belt which really help some clothes and put them on to keep her warm. >> reporter: she also found a blanket but couldn't locate her cell phone. her car was found around 6:30 the next morning. she was found cold but conscious and brought to the hospital where she is? table condition this morning. we're glad -- where she is in stable condition this morning. police are investigating how a driver crashed into an ambulance last night. three kids were inside the ambulance testament none were

and a passenger in the car were taken to the hospital. they are expected to be okay. and 8 people are recovering this morning after a crash involving an mbta silver line bus in boston. investigators say a car pulling out of a parking lot hit the bus yesterday. passengers who reported back pain went to the hospital. police did ticket the driver of the car. president-elect donald trump denying reports that his transition is in disarray sweeting last night "very organized process taking place as i decide other positions. i am the only one who knows who the finalists are. start today but notice the low-level clouds, a little bit of mist and drizzle a couple of hours ago, and maybe a few pockets out there. but the steady rain has shifted across maine eastern canada. for us the area of low pressure departs today and we will see improvement behind it gradually. it's going to be a gloomy start and i think most of the day will be spent in clouds before breaks of sunshine emerge mid to light afternoon, maybe right before sunset in a lot high pressure builds in for the [end of realtime captioning of the week. tomorrow looks like a beautiful day. friday there's a big storm off to the east. i think we'll get scraped with some clouds and wind from the north. the cape and islands on friday will be windy, any clouds in the morning to afternoon should depart. there's a front coming from the west. high pressure will be in control and friday looks like a beautiful end to the week with sunshine for the rest of us

high temperatures middle to upper 50s and upper 50s in boston. keep in mind we should be in the low 50s this time of the year, so it's actually above average today. gradual improvement is the key. most of us at or above where we should be this time of the year. overnight we dip into the 40s downtown, mainly clear skies, 38 to 42 in the suburbs and highs tomorrow very similar to today into the 50s again. in fact, we'll be a little bit milder toned the week. 60 on fr week. saturdays the pick of the weekend, sunday more clouds and even a couple of showers. we cool off only in the 40s for the start of next week. danielle watch out for a crash at the goodwin circle on the ramp to 128 south. we also have a new crash on 495 near exit 22 right here at the mass pike. this just happened. we're not even getting the notification yet but it is a two-car crash.

a mom says her 9-year-old son is a hero for saving his baby brother from a fall. the mom had her 11 month old on the changing table, turned away for a second and the video shows the baby starts to fall, then the 9-year-old brother rushed in for the save. >>my first i said i messed up and did something wrong, but then i realized really it was just a miracle. i must have done something right to have been deserving of this little guy nn right time and catching him in the right moment. >>that is really unbelievable. neither child was hurt. as for the 9-year-old he says he normally can't even carry his 30-pound brother. i mean, we've all done that has mom's, turned away for one second. mi daughter fell off the bed one time, and i've never gotten over it. she's fine. >>and we've all done that as a big brother. >>been a hero.

stroke. a new study found proton pump inhibitors increase overall stroke risk by 21%. the study does not say people treated with a low dose did not have a high risk of stroke. the extent of the stroke risk depends on specific medicine taken. and postmenopausal women who repeatedly gain and shed pounds. researchers studied 150,000 women and the effect of yo-yo dieting finding they have a greater risk of sudden cardiac death. the salvation army is auctioning off more than 60 pieces of jewelry placed in kettles around massachusetts and proceeds will go to in-state causes. the salvation army says they've seen a large number of jewelry donations and the last two years. former front man for the police is making a stop in

we are following a developing story this morning, one person rushed to the hospital and another in custody. >>anna miler is live with the -- meiler is live with the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: we know a person suffered life-threatening injuries after an incident at this home. an emergency call came in last night. police rushed to the home and shut down part of the road. investigators could be seen coming if no, i don't and out of the house wi coming in and out of the house of the house with evidence bags. police tell us they took another person into custody. we do not know the age or the gender of either person involved in this dispute, but investigators say the suspect and victim do know each other and the public is not at risk. we do not know the victim's condition at this time or whether any charges have been filed against the suspect. there are officers here still on scene but, again, police say the public is not at risk.

anna meiler, wbz this morning. the supreme court will hear arguments today on whether thousands of criminal cases should be dismissed. public defenders is asking the court to throw out evidence because a chemist is said to have tampered evidence. the supreme court will hear arguments in the appeal of a man who killed a unh seth mazelia is serving a life sentence for a killing in 2012. the woman was lured to his apartment by his girlfriend at the time. his lawyers are are appealing that his -- that her previous sexual history should be part of the public report. uber accused of hiking prices and gouging stranded commuters after a fire on the mbta red line. some claiming the app was
