strangulation and assault and battery stemming from an incident last week. on the morning of november 10, bourne police say that a 14- year-old girl was walking to her bus stop when allen grabbed her and threw her to the ground. of the witness called out the victim's name and allen fled. police don't know that the victim and allen know each other. the are uninjured. >> the aggravated part of the charge comes from her being under the age of 16. >> reporter: allen is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow in falmouth district court. louisa moller, wbz news. and also tonight, going free.

massachusetts house speaker sal dimasi will be released early, serving 5 years of his 8-year sentence for corruption. >> and because of his rapidly declining health, he will get out. beth germano has more. beth? >> reporter: it's not granted often but the judge granted what is qoan as compassion at release. it was u.s. officials and the attorney who came together to help fighe and the illness made a different sentence. >> reporter: he battled tongue and prostate cancer serving time for corruption, and now, former house speaker sal dimasi can return home to tuesday. he told wbz radio's dan rea it was a difficult struggle. >> yes. there were days when you felt beaten down but you had to

that dimasi can barely swallow and the prison jim cantore give him the care he needs. he will face home confinement but he will see a specialist. >> we can't wait to get him home and get him the health care he needs. he has been struggling. >> he is in remission, but he has lost a significant amount of weight. >> reporter: he is accuse steering software contracts and getting kickbacks in return, and the judge made it clear there would be no special favors for elected officials and that dimasi needs constant monitoring that prison can't provide, and the house speaker believes that he has paid the price. >> he did 6 out of the 8 years

like going out for a run and may have had a stalker. police are hoping this will lead to an arrest. a driver already involved in an accident makes a risky move and his car slammed by an oncoming mbta train. it's stuny. -- stunning. you can see the car maneuvering to get around the tracks and the train comes through and slices the car in half. the driver gets and the passenger and they run off. one of them is facing charges. chantee lans is live in revere. >> reporter: david, the front end of the car was on this end, and the back, in pieces. neighborssay that the driver and his passenger are lucky to be alive. a driver illegally crossing railroad tracks in revere gets struck by the mbta commuter

explosion. >> reporter: video captures the driver and front seat passenger walking away, seemingly unharmed. >> a miracle. the car was split in half in front of us. >> reporter: witnessing the crash was nothing compared to the surveillance video. that was captured from this house on bridge street. >> it's mind boggling how two people were in the car, one in the driver seat and they came out after the video, and that was shock to me. >> reporter: jenny reynolds saw them running away. >> we saw them coming out of this neighborhood. it's a dead end. >> reporter: mbta police said that the driver recently had left another scene of a car he rear ended earlier that night. reynolds said that the driver of the car that was rear ended

controversy after a high school athletic field is given the name of a prominent quincy family but there is a problem here. one of the family members has a bit of a past. >> some people in the community are demanding that the dedication be called off. bill shields has the story new at 6:00. >> reporter: it could be argued that in the past century, there is no family name in quincy more prominent

then, there was larry creedon, the superintendent of schools in the 70s and 80s and resigned after being accused of molestation. now, they're naming a new athletic facility at north quincy high after the family. >> i don't have any regrets. i think there will always be folk -- folks that don't agree with the decision. >> reporter: some say that the name opens up old many. >> the naminglyth of a field that is part and parcel of high school in quincy, it's not right. it's absolutely not right. of it diminish what a dozen members of the family contributed to the city. it doesn't at all. >> reporter: but still, the mayor said despite one bad apple, the family flame is gold. >> he is part of a larger story and it's literally generations of the family we are honoring.

killington could see a foot of snow towards the end of the weekend. saturday's the pick, the afternoon and evening clouds moving in off the shoreline and cooler and on sunday, temps will fall through the 40s. for the tree lighting, if you are joining us at faneuil hall, temps in the 40s and maybe fog or lift. and sunday, monday, tuesday, in comes the cold and the flurries. i don't expect a couple authorization come out of this. if you want to see the snow sticking to the ground, the berkshires is the place to go. low 40s and blustery and chilly on monday, and tuesday, mid-40s and a good travel day and wednesday, mainly try and thanksgiving thursday and we're watching a developing system, seven days off. i wouldn't suppress yet and you can get the full winter outlook
