six, seven days. >> every week. >> it's about time we got back together. yes, it's 45 degrees in boston right now but it's only 29 in norwood. most of the areas are clear, but over parts of plymouth county, it's all cloudy on cape cod so the clouds bank out here at the slowly advancing westward. so you can see that right here. right there the clouds are all over southeastern massachusetts. now moving into plymouth county. it's mostly clear here, as you can see. it l l will slowly advance westward. then we have clouds coming in from the west too. but a lot of the day today, especially in from central massachusetts, west will be sunny all day long and the clouds will be advancing along the coast. it will turn cloudy in boston sometimes by mid to late morning. then clouds will move into tre west this afternoon. tomorrow, a couple showers in the morning and then changing to clouds and sunshine. more on the weekend in a few minutes. >> thank you so much.

story, police are searching for this driver who plowed down a woman in a crosswalk and then sped away. there is a very distinct detail on the van that could help track down that driver. wbz's katie brace has more. >> reporter: the video captures the moment, a woman in a crosswalk without warning a white minivan strikes her. the driver keeps going. >> to me it's disgusting. i don't know how anyone could do that. >> it was so -- who will do that , >> reporter: she saw the video. >> i'm surprised because sometimes like i say, it doesn't matter what way, but you always have to be careful, look twice, because they don't stop. >> reporter: the minivan initially stopped at the intersection of fourth and broadway and the woman tried to make sure the driver saw her. >> the car was at the stop sign and she was banging on the car, and i guess the car wasn't paying attention, so he hit her. >> reporter: the witness called

the 72-year-old woman off the street. >> it's a very busy street. traffic stays constant throughout the day. we were there a fender-bender one block away brought traffic to i astand still. pedestrian say they find it navigate. >> people never know when it's right of way, people always want to rush. >> reporter: officers hope someone pauses to think if they recognize the minivan they say it appears to be an older model approximate dodge caravan. >> that will be like your mom, has a paper sign in the rear window as for the woman, she was checked out at the hospital for cuts and bruises to her head. in chelsea, karatie brace. a winchester man has pleaded guilty to murdering his own mother. he beat the 70-year-old to death inside her apartment two years ago. mcaveeny has been sentenced to life in prison. take a good look at these surveillance photos.

man, wasn't this nice. 63 to 64 degrees in many checkpoints except 50s on the cape. but that wind off the water this morning and also the cloud bank is keeping it warmer here. so we've got 50 to 51. we have 45 in boston. then we have some areas which just inland. so it's all clear back in here, the clouds will be advancing westward from the ocean. here is this little wedge of warm. 60 in buffalo right now. can you believe that? that's what is left over -- the wair the west. look at international falls, it's 24 degrees. these will be your highs today. minneapolis today, a high of only 32 there, contrast to the beautiful 80 down in orlando. so this cold front is on its way, has a string of showers with it. we will have a burst of showers here. not too much is going to be happening after that. watch the time stamp, cloud covers on the camp now.

to move westward this morning. so it should move into boston while the rest of the region will be nice and sunniment this will continue moving westward slowly this afternoon. the western fringe may erode a little bit. later this afternoon, it really takes over and moves inland and a few patches of mist may form and a few lice showers. tomorrow morning we get these showers coming on through. a burst of showers around 6:00 to 7:00 tomorrow morning. it will advance up while starts to snow in the berkshires. the snow will continue to fly in the mountains of western and northern new england and sunday we'll have kind -- monday we'll have kind of a cold day. you'll be in the upper 40s tomorrow morning. and then mid-40s tomorrow afternoon. only high 39 of 40 on monday with a few scattered snow flurries possible. mix of clouds and sunshine. there will be clouds passing by tuesday, but more sunshine on monday. wednesday, totally sunny, right now thanksgiving day, clouding

this morning. a high school football star charged with attacking a girl on cape cod pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on friday. prosecutors say john allen grabbed the 14 year old and tried to strangle her as she walked to a bus stop in bourne last week. but the girl got away. a campus scare at boston university, police in the s.w.a.t. team swarm the school when the caller said there was a bomb and hostages inside a library. now it appears it w swatting and as as we report, investigators are trying to figure out who was on the other end of that call. >> reporter: it came in as a call from someone saying their barricaded with guns and explosives on the fourth floor of the boston university library and a second call revealed this. >> a short time later there was another call that he had just shot a hostage inside that room. >> reporter: which sent heavily armed police swarming the b.u. campus, shutting down commonwealth avenue.

students, you know, like especially with it being a hoax makes it horrible. >> reporter: police say the number was blocked so it's unclear if it was a local or even an international call but it was unnerving for police and the campus and now the job of trying to trace it. at b.u., i'm beth germano wbz news. meanwhile, west high in manchester was evacuated friday from a chemical smell made people sick. people filled the used on the gym floor. 30 people were treated, one student and a faculty member had to be taken to the hospital. the school was vent lated and cleared. the world's health organization says the zika virus is no longer an international public health emergency. that means on a global level, the spread of zika is under control. zika is spread mostly by infected mosques. the world health organization says it will work to fight the disease and prevent it.

a big friday at the garden as the celtics hosted the golden state warriors. still no al har ford or jay due to injury. it marked the first time kevin durant was playing in boston. not the warmest garden welcome for durant. didn't seem to though. nice little runner here. 23 points and ten points for k.d. celtics hung with them for a while. boston within 7 at the half. but golden state took charge in the third as the celtics went cold. klay thompson with the pull off here. he had 28 points on the night. and then saturday saturday will hit the jumper and add his own legal brand of celebration. warriors were up 30 early in the

returns to practice. meanwhile, wide receiver chris hogan also out for tomorrow's game. he missed last friday's practice with a back problem that is still bothering him. did he play sunday against seattle but had no catches on three targets. how about some good news? for the pats offense, dion lewis did make the trip and could see his first game action in a year tomorrow. he's been practicing for a couple of weeks and was moved to the active roster last saturday, but did not play against seattle. and it's a homecoming of sorts for tom b yes, that's a very young brady playing in high school. it took 17 seasons but the pats quarterback finally heading home to play against the team he grew up rooting for. the pats have played at san francisco just once since drafting brady. but that was in the 2008 season and he miss that had with an injury. >> yeah, i'm excited. it will be nice to see my parents and my sisters and -- but, you know, hopefully we can go out there and win.

we're down in the 30s, even some 20s in the connecticut river valley. it's all a -- it's all clear here. they're slowly advancing westward. just a little narrow wedge of warmth, that's all that's left of yesterday's warm is now moving from buffalo to pittsburgh. but then a cold air sweeping in behind that. right now it's 24 international falls and winnipeg it's 21. churchill does oh got to say everybody up at baker lake. nine above zero at least it's not quite as bad as churchill. they've got some real chill up there. but they love it. ice cold up there in baker lake. anyway, here's the cold air coming across the nation today with high temperatures expected, 32 in minneapolis where they have a lot of deep snow, earth northwest of minneapolis and central and northern minnesota. one foot of snow in many locations up to two feet and some scattered isolated spots. only 39 in chicago. this 39 in chicago is probably the kind of air we'll have here

all because this cold front is on its way. the air mass is cold behind it. it's going to whip in here. so we get a brief burst of showers tomorrow morning. first thing in the morning, then it will not rain the rest of the day. but there will be plenty of wind coming in as the day goes along. let's watch this. the low cloud has been existing out over the ocean. it's been over cape cod off and on over the last several days. it looks like the cloud cover is going to slowly advance across plymouth county and into boston by later this morning while the rest of the region saw clear. this will continue advancing a little bit, slow down a little bit, try to break off the western fringe and then advance more to the west later this afternoon. it will turn all cloudy in eastern massachusetts. so where it stays sunny all day, goes to the upper 50s, maybe a couple spots a little over 60. but over cape cod where it's already cloudy. some spots of mist are possible tonight. a couple of scattered showers and then tomorrow morning, that's when we get the batch

on through. it won't last that long. they'll whip on by. the snow -- this is the color of snow here that will fall up in vermont and the berkshires and pretty good snows for the mountains. a few inches to several inches. tomorrow we see the temperatures in the 40s. upper 40s in the morning. and then drops off later in the afternoon with that gusty wind. so the snow showers will continue in the mountains. looking ahead to thanksgiving, i think we're going to be starting off with some sunshine in the morning for a while mixed cloudier during the day, about 47. the wind should be on the light side. it might be a shower late in the day. so it should be good for all outside activities for the most part. traveling around, good traveling weather leading up to thanksgiving. as you can see, albeit on the cold side. it looks like it will be fine for the road races and all the football games on thursday morning. we will have some showers on friday. but it is going to be windy starting tomorrow. by late morning and monday and tuesday, it will be pretty
