have to fight the holiday traffic of course. >> this is one of the worst days to hit the roads for the thanksgiving day holiday. >> reporter: ways teamed up with boston to analyze the thanksgiving day traffic. here it is. the worst place to be in boston the tuesday before the holiday -- >> let's hit the road. >> reporter: based on last year's numbers, harvard street. mass av >> they received 9000 traffic jam alerts from ways last year on tuesday. >> reporter: wednesday was bad too with brighton avenue being the worst place to be. >> reporter: 7000 jams reported last year. >> reporter: the worst spots are the mass pike interchanges. this year without the toll booths. the choke points we have had this the past are most likely significantly decreased.

crowded roads today and tomorrow. but at least they are dry roads. >> if you're going on 95 or to the west or the tug hill plateau with 4 feet of snow. here's a look at the? storm we're watching. that's going to move eastward and bring us a chance for light snow as we look to thanksgiving day. here's a look at the setup. tonight, mainly clear skies up and down the east coast. tomorrow, sunny conditions. all you sunglasses. and thursday the clouds roll in. the chance for light snow developing. it would be an inch or less but we could see a few slick spots on the roads. and icy spots thursday night and friday morning. an on shore flow develops. and especially in northern worcester county. this is where temperatures will be difficult to budge.

tree. 35 students were on board. and one boy and four girls were killed ranging in age from kindergarten to 4th grade. and a mother of three who lost one child made serious accusations to cbs news about walker. >> my daughter said right before the bus flipped they was speeding around the curve and asked them, are you all ready hospitalized, some with serious injuries. lines to donate blood are out the door in chattanooga. and there was a camera on board the bus, and authorities will now review it. >> they don't use seat belts on school buses in tennessee. and massachusetts doesn't either. only a few states require them. a representative has tried

i want all of them. the boys, the girls, the rest, everybody arrested. >> reporter: she pled guilty in court today. charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the death of 44-year-old great grabbed a liquor body and hit her in the head. >> the defendant had hit the victim with a hennessy bottle striking her. >> police found -- she was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. the defense says it's unclear what happened. >> there was no showing that the assault with the bottle caused in any way a fatal

the individual, what is suggested as well is that a car ran over her but we don't know whether or not that's true or not. >> knowing that she should be charged with murder and the other kid is still on the run. >> and perez is being held on $30,000 cash bail. she's due back in court on december 19th for a probable cause hearing. that puppy stolen from a new hampshire found safe and sound in ames bury. officers say a young girl too -- took the puppy. the dog was checked out by a vet. police are trying to figure out if they want to charge the young girl. who would steal horse tails? >> this is the bizarre crime at a gloucester farm.

a shocking story where a farm owner says someone broke in to steal hair from miniature horses. the thief clearly going from hair from the mane and tail. chantee lans has the story al new tonight at 6:00. >> reporter: a farm where police are investigating a peculiar crime. >> charlie's hair is all cut very short. it should be down to about here. >> reporter: all four of his miniature horses had the neck and tail hair chopped off. >> they cut it as short as they could. >> reporter: this is the third time his horses were targeted. the most recent was in

to go. in terms of the snowfall. it's wound down across the state. they saw 4 feet of snow across the tug hill plateau. and there are minor flight delays in minneapolis. that's one of the airports having issues today because of the weather on a big travel day. temperatures through the 20s. i wouldn't be surprised if a couple of the coldest spots reached the teens by tomorrow morning. and the wind chill will definitely be in the teens. a cheer and cold start. if you're hitting the road, all you need are the sunglasses. temperatures will be warmer than stay. and maybe reaching 45 or 46. and the wind out of the northwest at five to 15. and that will be a welcome change, not nearly as blustery. a high of 45 in bedford and boston. 40 in worcester. and new bedford one of the warmer spots, 47 for tomorrow afternoon. and no travel issues anywhere

thursday we start to see some wintry weather. before the clouds thicken up tomorrow night. we should have clear skies and that will allow us to drop back to the 20s. and then we'll seal in the cold as the clouds move in. thanksgiving looks mainly overcast and light snow and spotty freezing drizzle. just enough to create a few slick spots and make it feel festive. get you in the holiday spirit. a light accumulation, or less is likely. coatings possible all the way to boston. and getting to the mansfield and -- it should be too warm on thursday for snowfall. a few light rain showers. a huge road race in an dover -- andover. around 40 in boston.
