but the cold temperatures, they're upon us. looking across the northeast, plenty of chilly air, not particularly cold, just borderline enough to give us wintery precipitation. and this is the situation we are watching with the clouds moving in tonight, increasing cloud cover and we fall back in the 20s, so everyone for the most part will be below freezing when we see the next system move in. tomorrow morning, mainly cloudy chance for a few flurries. no major issues. it will be a cold one. bring the hot chocolate or coffee. midday, temps very slowly climbing up and not much wind tomorrow, a nice change and then as we head towards feasting time, rain showers develop and north and west a chance for the temps to hover

icing spots. we'll see how the temperatures move throughout the day but keep in mind there could be a few slick zones. high temps in norwood and the upper midwest, upper 30s to low 40s, and we'll be in the middle 40s for the cape, the island, and the south coast. a chance for a few flurries, changing to rain showers tomorrow night. as you are heading home, we could see wet streaks few shots a chance for icy travel. for friday shopping, cloudy skies and drizzle, light showers, damp and dreary and not too much wind to deal with. and when it comes to snow, coating, maybe an inch in vermont, new shasm hire, and the northern berkshires at the most. in terms of icy spots early on friday morning, a chance for a little bit of icy glaces.

cart. beth germano is live at the scene. beth? >> reporter: this happened the night before thanksgiving when the parking lot is filled with cars, and that's the corral where the person was hit. the driver accelerated backwards and hit the carriage attendant who, fortunately, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. but in the chaos, the driver struck at least causing more damage, a lot of dented fenders and doors. the deputy fire chief said it was lucky there were not more injuries. a lot of people running and screaming at the sight of this, and the far hit at least six other cars. we spoke with the deputy fire chief and a witness a short time ago. >> a crowded parking lot as you can see, filled with people as it was happening and everyone was very lucky. people hit and people came out

hit but it turned out very well. >> we saw people rung outside and came outside and caw the car damaged. a woman in a back car backed into three of these cars. it was a hectic scene. people were shocked. they didn't realize what had happened. >> reporter: all this happened in the pre-thanksgiving rush. the parking lot is filled with cars as it is now. and again,s that the storage bin where the driver backed up. driver to accelerate. that driver was taken to the hospital as long as with the carriage attend apt. -- attendant. the injuries are not thought to be serious. beth germano, wbz news. and a former prosecutor is accused of rape.
