going to be okay. it happened about 7:00 this morning and the trooper was going after a guy wanted in connection with an earlier domestic strangulation incident. they were driving through magnolia kent county, just a little bit ways south of where we are here in dover. 29-year-old man apparently fled the scene and stopped his car at some point during what sounds to be so far like a low-speed chase. got out, started firing at the trooper. the trooper fired back after he was hit twice. he hit the suspect, the suspect was gunned down and he was taken to kent general hospital where he remains at this point. the suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital just before 9:00 and, again, the 26-year-old trooper involved, we don't know where he was hit. we don't know exactly what happened. we're waiting for the state police executive council. they're going to be out here in a short while to talk to us on camera to let us know about what exactly happened to more of the specifics and the answers to the questions we don't know at this point. we do know the 26-year-old
