aquarium. the line of showers is steadier in the lehigh valley moving through allentown right now and upper bucks county. light showers in montgomery county and moving into delaware county right now and some of those showers are reaching into parts of philadelphia. wilmington starting out with rain and light showers through middletown in delaware. 54 degrees a lot warmer than yesterday morning at this time yesterday morning in philadelphia. we will be warmer this afternoon and certainly won't be an all-day rain. a few showers to begin with and then clouds break for a little bit of sunshine. 57 then at 9:00 into the 60s and then looking at more showers. the hour-by-hour future weather when i come back. but, first, jillian mele has your traffic. good morning, jill. >> i'm able to see the showers you're talking about. live look in the allentown area. you can see the ground is wet here, so, use caution. watch for slippery conditions and no accidents to report on

22, 78 or the northeast extension. heading closer to center city philadelphia, this is 76 right at spring garden street and 76 is still dry in this area and free of any incidents there. drive time looking good 13, 14 minutes in both directions between the blue route and the vine. the vine is clear this morning. for drivers in delaware, overnight construction, especially here. 95 northbound at 202 and the left lane is blocked until 5:00 this morning. tracy? a fire in franklin section forces several people out of their homes. starting around 12:45 in a second floor apartment on granite street. investigators are trying to figure out how that fire started. new from overnight philadelphia police looking for the gunman after a man was found shot in his car happened on martha street in kensington just before 10:00 last night. investigators say he was taken to the hospital and we do not know his condition. now to the search for accused trooper killer, eric frein. another reported sighting of

him, this time by police. frein has been on the run now for 39 days leaving hundreds of police and fbi scouring the woods of monroe county. law enforcement official reported frein not far away from friday's spotting. schools in the pocono district are open today but frein will stay inside. he ambushed their barracks in september. coming up in the next half hour, a live report from monroe county with nbc 10 jesse gary. happening nright now, oscar pistorius is about to learn his sentencing as you see the judge speaking there. his sentence for killing his girlfriend. a live picture from the courtroom. prosecutors want a ten-year prison term, but pistorius' lawyers have suggested three years of correctional supervision with periods of house arrest and community service. we'll continue to monitor that live feed as that south african judge found him guilty of culpable homicide, but not

guilty of murder of the shooting death of reeva steenkamp. we're monitoring the courtroom developments and bring them to you as soon as we get them. back here locally, wilmington police are investigating a fight between two very young children that was videotaped by adults. katy zachary is live with the video that some viewers may find disturbing. it is hard to watch. >> it is. the video was posted on facebook and getting thousands of views. take a look. this video is of two children who aren't older than 7. they can't be older than 7 years old. they are pummeling each other while adults watch, laugh and videotape the whole thing. special education teacher britney kaputo reported it to police after she saw a mutual friend posted it to facebook and it had already gotten 15,000 views. now wilmington police are

looking for the people responsible which you actually see in the videotape. if you have any information, wilmington police want to hear from you. help them out with this. reporting live in the digital operation center, katy zachary. 4:05. pennsylvania supreme court justice shamus mccaffrey has been suspended in his connection with an government e-mail porn scandal. mccaffrey can't perform any duties until they finish their review of what happened. mccaffrey sent or received 234 e-mails with sexually explicited content. now, mccaffrey has apologized. mccaffrey's lawyer issued a statement to nbc 10 saying the action should surprise no one given his relentless crusade to destroy his career and reputation. we will continue our efforts

behind this effort to take down justice mccaffrey. we're confident that he will be cleared of any wrongdoing and return to the bench soon. one of the men in the carjacking crash that killed a philadelphia mother and her three children is expected in court today for a hearing. cornelius crawford is facing a number of charges including murder and sexual assault. keshia williams and her children were hit by an suv back in july. police say that crawford and another man, jonathan rosip stole the suv at gunpoint. rosa is expected to be in court next week. funeral services will be held for a popular dirt bike rider who was shot and killed in southwest philadelphia. a viewing and funeral will be held at united methodist church. he was found shot inside a black car last week on south 60th street. his killer is still on the

loose. 4:06 right now. turning now to concerns over the ebola outbreak. several officials have put new guidelines in place after two dallas health care workers contracted eebola while treating an infected liberian man who later died. workers now who treat patients in the u.s. will have to be covered from head to toe, no skin showing in protective gear. meantime, officials in texas say 120 people are being monitored for ebola because they may have had contact with those two nurses or thomas duncan who died from the disease. 50 people who came in close contact with duncan are no longer considered to be at risk for the virus. you can stay informed about the developing ebola situation on our website, go every day nbc10.com and keep you updated on local investigations and plus we separate fact from fiction with information about how the virus is spread. but health care officials say for the average american, a bigger concern than ebola should be the flu. and there are several flu shot clinics happening in our area

towards the philadelphia area. you can see the steady rain in the allentown area. that's also on the light side, but it gets lighter the farther south you go. this is just the first line of showers and there will be more showers developing during the day. wilmington a few raindrops along with middletown right now moving into salem county and expect them in gloucester and camden counties, as well. 6:00 this morning, still some showers in the area, but not for long. we'll get some breaks of sunshine, just some breaks. won't clear out completely. 60 degrees at 10:00 and then we'll warm into the upper 60s early this afternoon, expect it to be dry in philadelphia and watch some showers developing north and west and some others showers will swing through the i-95 corridor during the late afternoon and evening hours and then overnight tonight is likely we will see more wet weather. so, mostly cloudy day today. showers to start with and then the showers are back this afternoon. got the extended forecast with

the judge is going through the background in the case and how she came to her decision about the sentencing. we do not know the sentencing. we'll bring you that as soon as she makes her announcement. oscar de la renta has died. he passed away in his connecticut home last night. he was at the forefront of couture designing for celebrities and first ladies and most recently the wedding dress for george clooney's wife. an update on a fire that nbc 10 brought you through the news on friday. the historic city tavern could reopen by thursday. investigators now say that smoke damage from a dumpster fire nearby last friday is much worse than they first thought. some of the smoke from the fire managed to make it inside the building damaging electrical and exhaust systems. no one was hurt and the cause remains under investigation. this was a scary scene yesterday in lancaster county. a school bus carrying students with special needs was hit by a dump truck and the bus

overturned. police say the dump truck had rolled through a stop sign in paradeuce township. some neighbors were able to get four students and four adults off the bus. fortunately, no one was seriously hurt. police in chester county are warning residents about several phone scams. a 92-year-old woman was the victim of a publishers clearing house scam. she was instructed to cash a check and send money back to the suspect as a processor fee. in the end she lost about $8,000. there is also a phone scam circulating from the 619 area code where he claims to be efrom the treasury department. none have lost any money from the scam. hang up if you get a call like this. it is 4:16. now, the latest in the atlantic city casino crisis. the owners of the taj mahal are to have his name removed from the struggling casino. trump entertainment resorts

agreed to remove the name from the now closed trump plaza but refuses to the same from taj mahal. donald trump allowed the casinos to deteriorate and hurt trump's personal brand. the launch of sports betting in new jersey could face a setback. the four major sports leagues and the ncaa asked for an injunction in federal court yesterday. if granted, that would stop the state from allowing casinos and race tracks to offer sport betting. scheduled to begin this weekend. the league claims that sports betting in new jersey would violate federal law which restricts sports gambling to nevada, delaware and two other states. one man's fight to save his family home in the shadow of the closed revel casino may soon come to an end. a judge is expected to hear final arguments today in charlie burbam's case. they offered him $2,000 for his property to create a new tourism

all i remember the cold from last winter. i'm still fixated on that and yesterday we started off with cold. but this morning, a different story. we have clouds overhead and watching for showers. just starting to move into philadelphia right now. 54 degrees. the wind is calm. we are 12 degrees warmer than yesterday at this time. it's dry at the shore. could see some showers later in the day at the shore, but most of the activity is going to be inland. 54 in wilmington. potstown is seeing some rain this morning. 50 degrees. 50 degrees in doylestown. little bit cooler but not by much for rocksboro and philadelphia. here comes the rain, a few raindrops just pushing into the city. these are actually fizzling as they move to the east. starting to taper off. steadier rain just to the north. and then we're going to get a break for most of the rest of the morning, we will be dry. you can see more showers in western pennsylvania. it's part of a system that is

going to come together as a coastal storm and really will intensify tomorrow. today, occasional showers. this is 7:00 this evening. doesn't look very impressive. but look what happens over night. the extended future weather shows rain early in the morning, it's 3:00 in the morning tomorrow morning and that starts to develop and that is going to intensify. and along with some steadier rainfall, 8:00 tomorrow morning, the wind will be picking up and will be a gusty wind for tomorrow. for today, the winds will be light out of the west, three to seven miles per hour. occasional showers later this afternoon and then the chance of some steady rain as we move into tomorrow and the temperatures will be on the mild side tomorrow and then be cooling down a bit as we head into the steadier rainfall. full seven-day forecast for the next hour. 4:21 and i just got this in as oscar pistorius has been sentenced to three years in prison. we do have a live picture from the courtroom and we'll get to that in a second. we want to check traffic because

that live picture from south africa where oscar pistorius is being sentenced for killing his girlfriend reeva steenkamp. i just mentioned that he was sentenced to three years in prison and the judge is continuing to explain, though, that that three-year prison sentence will be suspended. so a suspended sentence, which means he will not go to prison at all and have to perform 300 hours of community service. so, oscar pistorius sentenced. the sentence suspended, bottom line, it means he will not serve any prison time. he will serve 300 hours of community service. the judge continues to explain further about the sentence. we'll monitor that and bring you any updates as soon as they come through. well, this might be painful news for phillies' fans. don't even listen to this, in fact. tonight is game one of the 2014 world series. san francisco giants will take on the kansas city royals tonight for the start of the seven-game series and interesting note that radio stations in san francisco have
