a rampage and new details about what set him off. >> reporter: dallas police say they have never seen anything like it. >> oh, my god. >> reporter: a brazen attack on police headquarters overnight saturday. by a man driving an armored vehicle loaded with automatic weapons and pipe bombs. the bullets whizzing by bystanders running for their lives. the armored vehicle rammed several patrol cars before speeding away with police in pursuit. the chase ended at a jack in the box parking lot, but it was followed by a tense standoff. the gunman 35-year-old james bullware of dallas told police he had explosives and was upset over a child custody case. the police sniper shot the engine disabling the vehicle.

worse, rescuers are having to be on guard against zoo animals tigers bears, wolfe as they look for survivors. it is a is asafari on city streets. on georgia television a big cat clearly stunned and covered in mud is roaming free. dangerous floods from the river washed over the capital overnight filling the streets with mud and debris washing away houses and cars trapping people in the water and destroying zoo enclosures like this one for the bears. this woman said the floods came so fast she ran. in 20 years i've never seen anything like it. local officials said the damage is in the millions of dollars. this morning the city is warning residents to stay away from the mud-filled streets while the zoo

scene of a water main break in west philadelphia. this is a live picture from 52nd street between wyalusing and westminster avenue. you can see most of the water has drained away. the flooding has left a lot of damage. fire officials tell us at one point people were trapped inside of cars but they managed to get out safely. some families had to be evacuated from their homes. the american red cross is helping them. septa shuttle buses are making sure people are getting to and from the philly high school and the scene. here's a look at scene earlier today. this is all the water that came from the water main break. it just came gushing down 52nd street. it flooded cars and made the neighborhood practically look like a lake. we're told the cast iron water main was installed back in 1885. that tends to be a problem with a lot of these water main
