but if they haven't gone deep and i mean deep into the playoffs at the end of five years, yeah, i'm sure it will be time for a new job. >> once again, the book is called "controlled chaos: chip kelly's football revolution" o sale at bookstores near you. thanks for being here. good luck with the book. >> thanks. remember nbc10 is your official eagles television station. we'll have complete coverage of the birds' preseason opener august 16th at the link. our coverage begins at 12:30. and eagles training camp starts this weekend. they have pretty good timing because had humidity is down. tuesday night, when it's the first open practice with fans coming it's going to be pretty steamy. we have humidity relief at least temporarily. the heat wave that is now official looks like it's going to continue for a while.
11:51 am
we're going to have a great weekend because the humidity will stay relatively low. visibility is as good as it gets for this time of the year. it's 85 degrees. relative humidity only 43%. that's continuing to go down. you'll see that in the 30s this afternoon. maybe even lower than that. winds northwest bringing in cooler air. only feels like 85 because of that humidity being low enough. 75 in mt. pocono. it's in the 80s everywhere else across the area including right at the beaches because we have a northwest wind land breeze out there and that is going to keep things warm at the shore today. sea breeze kicks in tomorrow and sunday keeping temperatures down a little bit. the ocean temperature right around 70 degrees. pretty good weather in the poconos, too. the lower humidity is going to last. just a slight chance of an afternoon shower on saturday
11:52 am
but that's about it for any kind of issues. got nothing but sunshine out there, as you can see. and that extends way past chicago. no moisture close by. that's because the high pressure area is not only on top of us it's way back to the west. this is just going to take days to get past us and allow the moisture to really return. so here we are through sunday and monday and the high is still not offshore. it's when it gets offshore, it allows the humidity to start coming back. well the heat continues throughout weekend. and into early next week. and then the pattern changes. after tuesday. a little bit of that cooler air starts to come down. look what happens by thursday. that hot weather is off the map.
11:53 am
so that will be a significant change. and the heat wave will end. sunny, less humid, beautiful day today. highs in the 90s but not going to feel any hotter than that. saturday and sunday, similar type days. humidity is still low for this time of the year. and then the heat and humidity build up on monday where it will be feeling like it's closer to 100. and then on tuesday another day, heat and humidity but also that's our first real chance of thunderstorms.
