all is off the streets and under investigation and tonight the driver who filmed it says it began with a traffic stop up in kensington because his back taillight had gone out. >> you and your friend got any money? >> reporter: the roadside police stop is not a standard picket window. but in the window a philadelphia police officer appears to push the driver to buy fun raiser tickets or face having his unregistered car impounded. that driver says he was in disbelief. >> it was never about the tickets. it was just how he talked to me. >> reporter: rob tells us the officer was disrespectful yesterday afternoon but the ticket sale demand startled even him mplg support your police department. 10 bucks each, man. either you buy these or i take your car. >> reporter: rob handed over the 30 bucks and got these tickets. he never expected that the video posted later would go viral with

many outraged by what they call extortion. >> i thought like a couple people would comment on it or whatever. but it got big. bigger than i expected. >> reporter: nbc 10 covers the hero thrill show fundraiser every year. it raises money for the families of police killed in the line of duty. a worthy and important cause, now tarnished by the quote inappropriate a actions of one officer. >> it's stupid. it's just not good at all. nothing about this stop was good. period. >> reporter: it is really worth noting that driver tells us tonight he actually plans to use the tickets and attend the fundraiser to support whom he calls good police officers. we are not naming the officer in that video because he has not been charged with any crime. no one was available to speak to us when we stopped by his house tonight. live tonight at police headquarters, i'm george spencer, nbc 10 news.

now at 11:00 what started as an argument turned to violence in south philadelphia and the gunman is still out there tonight. it happened in philadelphia's point breeze section. detectives focused on a chair on the sidewalk. this is where the officers say three people started arguing and one man fired shots. a 58-year-old woman was shot in the ankle and a man in his 40s was grazed by another bullet. one witness inside the store at the time told nbc 10 she heard a total of three gun shots. >> i said what happened and i just came out of the door to see. and i saw the ladies in front of her house. >> detectives say that woman is in stable condition at jefferson university hospital. police are still looking for the man who pulled the trigger. tonight police are trying to figure out why a man shot a security guard to death inside a federal building before turning the gun on himself. the gun fire led to panic in new

york city this afternoon. the shooter was a 68-year-old from new jersey. one of downey's family members said that he filed a whistle-blower lawsuit after the department of labor fired him years ago. that relative said the labor department had office space at the scene of the shooting. two americans are being hailed as heroes after they stopped an armed gunman in france. the shooter opened fire on a high speed train. one of the americans was sent to the hospital with serious injuries. french authorities say the suspect is a 26-year-old more ra moroccan who was armed with an automatic rifle and a knife. today the dow dropped about 530 points closing at 16459. this finishes off the worst week for the market in about four years. the reason, china's economy.

hurricane danny coming up with the seven-day in a few minutes. macmacy's is back open toni. it was evacuated about 4:00 tonight. chopper 10 was above the scene. police searched the store and didn't find anything suspicious. murdered for $30 and some marijuana. police have now charged four men after a 17-year-old boy was shot to death in chester county. authorities say the men you see here set up a sham drug deal with christian santiago and then robbed him and murdered him. his body was found last night in east bradford township. from the nbc 10 delaware news bureau, park problems. camby park has become a dumping

ground for trash and bottles. the crowds have gotten out of hand. >> they totally ignore the residents and they're parking on top of everybody. and on top of the houses. >> how do you get in and out of here on a busy football day. >> you say you prayers. >> just last month a woman was found dead at a playground at the park. congressman shack fattah is scheduled to go to trial six days after the democratic primary. fattah appeared in court earlier this week. he faces charges of bribery, money laundering and son spearcy. an indictment alleges that the philadelphia congressman misused campaign money and tax dollars. the congressman told a federal judge he is innocent and told reporters he'll fight the charges. also promising to run for reelection. congressman fattah is married to renee fattah.

she's labeled abperson e as an affiliate of the fattah enterprise. the feds allege she took part in a scheme to fraudulently sale a car to pay closing costs on a home. she is not charged and denies any wrongdoing. renee is on leave from nbc 10. take a look at the thousands of people who gathered in alabama tonight to see republican presidential front runner donald trump. it was the largest turnout so far in the 2016 presidential race. he said this he wishes the election could be held tomorrow. on the democratic side, hilary clinton is on the defensive. her campaign is denying reports that she sent classified information from her private e-mail account. this weekend colluded revelations that clinton's lawyers told investigators her private e-mail server was erased

chaos caused by a sea gull. the panic you see here was causes by a bird that flu into ocean city's pizza this month. this is one of several times this summer hungry' gulls have invaded restaurants and shops including a jewelry store. >> we've had the store 40 years. this is the first time the sea gull has ever come into our business. they're much more aggressive this year. >> for the past month they've speemted with sonic bird repellers on top of the two boardwalk locations. if the devices continue to work, business leaders say they hope to get more of them for next summer. and speaking of sea guls, they're also being blamed for some smashed windows in atlantic

but analysts say this is not a crash. just a big correction in the market. >> i would suggest that people just stay a little calm. >> financial adviser rob wilson based in philly says a slowdown within china's economy is causing american companies like apple to take a hit. >> when that starts to slow, it's going to affect a lot of the multinational companies who are starting to sell there. >> falling crude oil prices are also to blame. now at a six-year low down to just 40 buck as barrel. >> so, z÷dklook. it's great that the prices are down and hopefully that affects us at the pump. >> the silver lining means that gas prices are down right now. the nationwide average, $2.83. that's good for you wallet here at the pump but still bad for your 401(k) which likely took a pretty big hit the week. >> a thousand over the last two days. >> experts say he could see $2 a gallon gas this year but

this in your back yard? maybe stay in the house and record the entire thing? that's what one north jersey family did as a mother bear and her five cubs made themselves quite at home in the family's pool. >> there's bears in the pool. >> i know. >> they took my floatty. >> that's tim basso's five-year-old daughter that you hear. by the way, this mother and cub playtime went on for 11 minutes. >> they're acting almost like people, hanging out in the pool, having a good time and cooling off. >> eventually the bears hopped the fence and moved on. the homeowner hopes that the bears don't make a habit of stopping by. they certainly could. they looked like they were having a ball. >> well they got all of if fur on them. and 90-plus degree temperatures. you want to cool off. but we do have comfortable air that has cooled in, cooler and less humid and that's going to last through the weekend.

it's going to be a comfortable weekend. danny was a category 3 hurricane, now a category 2. and perhaps weakening more. we've got mostly clear skies out there. 77 degrees, wind north-northwest at 14 miles an hour bringing in the cooler and drier air. it's in the 60s north and west and that is different than what we've seen for the last week. it has not been that comfortable. and it's going to stay that way for a couple of days. but this moisture that moved offshore this morning, these showers are still out there. and if anything, over the weekend, some of them are going to come back because there's storm that's going to be developing out in the ocean that's going to help push the moisture back. we've got the northerly wind flow, during the day saturday, hardly any clouds at all. saturday is a sure bet. here's sunday, we're starting to

get a northeast wind. starting to see some of the clouds cam back and maybe even a couple of showers. this particular computer model is bringing a couple of showers. again, especially ocean county, perhaps atlanta county, atlantic city getting some. and so sunday does not look like it's going to be as beautiful as saturday at the shore where we're going to see all of that sunshine on saturday. the poconos, lots of sun on saturday, nice and comfortable, a few more clouds on sunday. for the'gs saturday night, it is as good as it gets. 79 at kickoff and then it's just clear, low humidity. there's danny out in the middle of the atlantic. and it's a tiny, tiny hurricane, but it was category 3, now it's weakened somewhat. it's in very hostile conditions. and so it is likely to weaken to a category 1 and then eventually a tropical storm as it gets

toward the dominican republican. the rest of tonight, clear and comfort, wbl 68 in philadelphia, 57 in some of the suburbs. tomorrow, low humidity, highs in the low to mid 80s. then some more clouds come in on sunday and there could be a shower or two, especially in new jersey. then the heat comes in on monday, 90 degrees but doesn't last. gets more and more comfortable as the week goes by. tonight michael jordan has another win. he's getting a nearly $9 million payday from a grocery store that used his name in an ad without permission. the ruling is against dominic, the grocery chain that is no longer operating. jordan's lawyer cited the basketball great. the grocery store's lawyer said he was proud of the championships too but that jordan should get no more than $126,000 for the ad. amy? it's important to mention that he did have six
