season that jason day can culminate, steve. >> dan, thank you. jason, dan was just going through your resume. you've now won four of the last six starts on the pga tour, including a major championship and now your second playoff event. how would you describe this run for you? >> i mean it's tough to explain. i've just been working so hard. all i want to do is win, and that's kind of the mentality ever since the open championship. something changed in my head and i felt like it was my time to start winning tournaments. ever since then, it's been a phenomenal run. i mean my whole team is fantastic, from cole to bud to my wife to cornell, who's my trainer. i mean the main goal was to get to number one and we understood that you had to win consistently and you had to win to get to that number one spot. so just to be able to have the opportunity to get to number one and win was fantastic. >> you have not been shy about

the fact that ever since you were a little boy you have dreamed about becoming the number one player in the official world golf ranking. you knew what was at stake this week. how much pressure did you put on yourself to perform to get it done here when you had that chance? >> i felt a lot of pressure the last few days, especially today, just knowing that i had a six-shot lead. things could happen. some guys could shoot a low score or i could shoot 1, 2 or 3 over and all of a sudden i'm not winning and i'm not number one. you know, yesterday and today was the toughest round i've ever had to play in my entire life, just knowing that i had the opportunity to get to number one. stepping up and playing the way i did today was -- was great, just to really understand what i put into my game to get to where it is today. >> you've certainly stepped up. congratulations, jason. we'll see you next week. >> thanks, mate. cheers. >> number one in the world.

new at 6, philadelphia police have located the mother of a toddler found wandering the streets of kensington early this morning the girl believed to be 2 or 3 was found on east tioga street wearing a shirt and diaper but no shoes. no word on whether the mother will face any charges. and tonight the search is on for a missing 12-year-old girl. police say stanaya blackwell was last seen at the jubilee commandment keepers church in north philadelphia. at some point yesterday her family realized she had wandered away. blackwell suffers from seize urz and has memory loss due to getting a brain tumor removed recently. police say she's known to visit stations. a campus bookstore at a local college is under fire tonight. we'll tell you why a doll being sold there sparked outrage and prompted an apology. britney? and temperatures dropped a bit for the end of your weekend. i'm tracking even cooler weather

. a campus bookstore at westchester university has pulled a doll from its shelves that caused an uproar with students calling it sexist. the inflatable doll was reportedly sold as a gag gift. its packaging says it's a perfect female, no headaches and doesn't speak. some are planning to protest the doll. nbc 10 reached out to west chester university for comment. we're tracking cooler weather heading into tomorrow. fall officially starts wednesday. we'll let you know what's coming up in my full forecast.

together today to try to stem the growing tide of violent crimes there. ♪ this was the scene at today's inaugural 302 guns down peach rally. the event was organized to help educate area youth about the pitfalls of the area's culture of growing violence. businesses were on hand offering employment opportunities and organizers hope today's message of peace will be a lasting one. >> delaware, it's just hard to get the community together. it feels good that things are just kicking off. i'm not looking more for how many people. i'm looking for how much success. >> organizers said they hope to make this a yearly tradition. it's game day. the philadelphia eagles are taking on division rivals the dallas cowboys in the home opener. this is a live look at lincoln financial field where they are playing right now. nbc 10's randy gyllenhaal joins

but definitely cooler everywhere throughout the region. current temperatures at 64 degrees in the poconos, 63 in allentown, 64 at the atlantic city airport, and closer to wilmington 79 degrees. you can see the wind direction coming in from the north. that's due to the cold front that already moved through. so our temperatures are cooler tonight than they were this time yesterday. we're about 8 degrees cooler in the coke noes, same in allentown, pottstown and five degrees cooler in philadelphia. over the past couple of daze we've been in the 80s, well above average. it was still feeling like summer. as we head into the rest of today, our temperatures tap out at 80 degrees. we'll see mild conditions for tonight, clear skies for us. satellite radar shows quiet conditions, and we'll see high pressure staying in control even as we head into the rest of tonight into tomorrow, staying nice and dry, with the exception overnight of a few scattered showers near cape may. as you head to work tomorrow and tuesday, dry conditions expected. we will ski our clouds

increasing just a little bit, but for the most part really enjoyable conditions as we head into the first week of fall. breezy conditions expected for the rest of tonight. wind gusts up to about 27, 29 miles per hour. that's going to continue even into your morning hours tomorrow. and we'll be even cooler throughout the day tomorrow, 74 degrees the high in philadelphia, 70 in pottstown and for tonight temperatures drop down into the mid-50s for philadelphia, 46 to the north and west, mostly clear skies, and cooler temperatures tomorrow during the day. we'll be cooler as well ranging between 70 and 73 degrees as cool air continues to filter in from the north. your seven-day forecast show that's we do have a slight warm-up on the way as we head into wednesday. temperatures back to the 80s, but a pretty mild week ahead in general. dan danny? the eagles and boys getting it on over at the linc. we'll have details of that.

we are never getting one of those (minivan). we are never having another kid. i'm pregnant. i am never letting go. for all the nevers in life, state farm is there. in anticipation of the pope's visit to philadelphia, a group of local argentine tango dancers had a pre-arrival welcome performance for the pontiff. today's dance session is a warm-up of sorts. many are scheduled to take the stage at independence hall next saturday. lots of sunshine, but you can feel it's cooler out there. >> it is cooler out. it feels more fall-like. perfect weather for tailgating and the football game. we're at 74 degrees as we head into tomorrow so even cooler today actually warmed to 80 degrees. we didn't have the humidity that we had yesterday. heading into tuesday, still in the mid-70s. we warm up a little bit by wednesday. first day of fall but pretty
